It's usually never that high. If you did buy that many it actually be a few cents cheaper and I'm sure that's how many the name brand company buys at a time they negotiate so they would most definitely be paying less the 4. Usually anywhere from 50-100 being the highest prices. Then discount anywhere from 200 above you'll see another few cents taken off at 500 and 1000 anything higher contact the company directly.

Also, even if you do, be ready to wait for weeks or even months for your shipment of products and have to go through complicated payment processes that require copious amounts of time and patience. @@rurome2151 this only applies if you manage to find a retailer that is willing to do the intermediary work for a cheaper price. Neither manufacturers or retailers are stupid, they value their time and initial investment enough to not just sell close to production price in single order batches.

But how much better is it for the price? If it only keeps ice cold for 30 minutes more, I wouldn't consider that worth 3 times the price.

Here’s an idea - buy things based on their quality, use the money you save to help other people.
Oh but wait, that would take actual effort.
Love how people think they’d be working on the Underground Railroad, or fighting nazis if they lived in the past. They’d be doing the same as they’re doing now - mindlessly following.

I literally don’t care about their brand as a status. I hadn’t even heard of them when I bought my bottle. So why did I get it? It was the largest bottle (1.8L) that I could find that is of decent quality. I drink a lot of water and 99% of bottles are 800ml or less which is not enough. I’ve seen cheaper high quality bottles for those sizes but never for something so large. If they are out there, let me know
As an aside, for those smaller bottles, the most important thing is the lid. The bottle with my favourite lid was discontinued. I should have bought more because they were pretty cheap.

Some people just value product quality and use over their brand names. People like myself would buy a cheaper water bottle if does the exact same thing as a hydroflask, just without a brand logo. I don't think people hate competitive business models solely for being competitive business models.

Cuz we've lived for millenia without private profit and capitalist economical models are ruining the planet for "profit". they'll do anything if it means "profit" from under payed child miners to dumping waste in the ocean.

Because it often can lead to monopolies or oligarchies.
Companies have no moral ethics. They only operate on two rules. Keep their existence certain and maximum profit.
So a lot of companies (like Nestlé) just throw ethics out of the window for maximum profit.
Another example is ISPs in the USA That practically operate is a monopoly.

@@jeltje50 I think you meant oligopoly instead of oligarchies, but I wholeheartedly agree with you. Not to mention how companies Luxottica owns practically the whole industry (92% iirc).
