Big Striped Bass Interrupts Tautog Fishing! Light Tackle Monster Caught In Cape Cod In My Kayak!

- As the title implies, I was out fishing for tautog this day until a tornado of Striped Bass invade the area I was fishing chasing clouds of sand eels. I did well tautog fishing this day, but the Striped Bass stole the show. Light tackle and down sized lures were essential to this day's HUGE SUCCESS. I Caught a cow on 15lb test and a very light rod/reel set up. ENJOY, LIKE,COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!

There was one seal cruising around the day of this video and I was waiting for him to nab a fish from me.

Awesome video and great channel! I'm learning a lot from you. Those were sum fun fights to watch. Are you adjusting your drag while fighting these fish? I'm just getting started fishing here in San Francisco bay, trying to catch Stripers (I don't know much at this point, lol) There's a lot of wind current and chop to deal with out here.... A lot of people trying for stripers are getting California halibut the last couple of weeks. Thanks!
I do adjust my drag, but in small increments to avoid applying too much drag that might cause a break off. Glad you like the vids. I used to fish for Corvina and halibut in point Loma. I sure do miss Cali fishing.

No sharks around yet in the cape. So no worries about that.

Dave, what area do you usually go out kayak fishing for bass in Cape?
It’s hard to find a launch point down there.
Pretty much any beach in falmouth and the ramp near mass maritime. The Taylor point ramp I think is $10 for parking but it's worth it. Most beaches are free until memorial day.
