It's interesting from a developer's perspective for how an early pre-alpha has pretty much finalized-ish graphics (not so UI I presume) where as majority of other games in pre-alpha I've seen still has obvious placeholder graphics and UI elements. I really hope it doesn't affect the development because mechanics not working as intended or screwing up can really affect the already made graphics which would end up in redoing assets and doubling dev time more so (thus why placeholders are used usually).
Maybe the cover system is only for smaller unit sizes, 3-4 man squads, maybe a tactic for the game, using smaller squads to flank, rather than swarm with 6-8 sized teams

Not to say I won't play the game as is, I will, I'd just like to have the option to have like a human steam/dieselpunk wwi type game. Yes I already know iron harvest exists but I want a game that's just a tiny bit more towards real life. Somewhere in between a true to life wwi rts, and iron harvest. And I think with mods and more development this game could be that. Only problem I have with the footage shown is that it's not polished but that's an invalid critique since it's in pre alpha. It's not going to be even close to finished. Lol. But it does look great so far and shows a lot of potential
So, Redwall updated to the 20th century. And - no sarcasm - I can see why Russia is represented by cockroaches, because the Russian superpower in most wargames (eg. Axis & Allies) is infantry, lots and lots and lots of infantry.
@@theShermanator Eh, im never a fan of the 1 tap crap in any game. It makes keeping your guys alive nigh on impossible.......I prefer to keep my guys alive. Especially when, in games like MOW and CTA, your always BADLY outnumbered. You throw in the bad AI, wonky UI and/or other bugs that make your guys perform worse and its just a recipe for an annoying game.

I wish it were any other animal besides rats...I'd prefer humans a lot but just any non-rodent would be better. Hopefully it's modded.
