@@dracotey I just hope they put effort into the single player with actual unique objectives and make it replayable(ex: make it so i can change units before a mission instead of limiting it to skirmish that was my biggest complaint about steel division 2)
Am I the only one who misses RTS games with the same level of details as the CoH games? The details in those games still blow my mind. No other RTS games ever really come close in terms of destructability and animation.
Detaill? Bro play MOWAS2 with ROBZ Realism mod. NOTHING comes close to Men of War Assault Squad 2 with Robz Realism Mod from the Steam Workshop. It is the greatest RTS WW2 game. Tanks armour mimic War Thunder, you can control a whole squad of men, or individually, you can take control of tanks or men in 3rd person. There is cons, but it is the best I have ever played.
I love that one of the factors for these new rts games being so intriguing and fun looking, is that the rts genre just isn't as profitable as the others so big companies don't bother to even produce fastfood type games for it. It's a win-win for us! Indie devs get to make a good game and we get to play it.
I loved World In Conflict. Can’t wait for Broken Arrow. Just started playing WARNO, and I’m really enjoying it, getting that World In Conflict nostalgia.
Tempest rising is going to kill it along with broken arrow for sure. Not sure why people were so hyped about Manor Lords. Its a single player RTS game. This is what we have been fed for years and years without end. Its just like total war: warhammer series. Useless dull rts bot games.
Ah, the good ol' days of RTS. Cossacks 3 really managed to revive that classic feel with modern polish. This video brings back memories, thanks for the nostalgia trip!
00:57 is there any type of game that is this huge scale strategy but on a slower scale that is more realistic, i tried a few of this type but they all are really fast paced
This is going to be a massive year for RTS genre!!! a big come back! I am making one as well, in a style of classic Z, KKnD and C&C red alert with a mix of they are billions and COH!
I'm mostly looking forward to Dust Front. Really liked how Dawn of War - Dark Crusade's campaign was designed and Dust Front looks like it'll have a campaign similar to it. Here's hoping all 3 factions will be playable too.
Mount & Blade :Warband do that From 2010 and people don't like it because it looks like shit. But People love bannerlord, which literally almost a same game just remade
15,14 - yes for me. 9 - have to see gameplay first. 7 - great graphic and +for units idea, lol. 1 - if they do rich build and fights then yes I will play that game. I am missing Settlers or Knights & Merchants kind of game.
Bought and beat Terminator because of this video. EXCELLENT game. I didn't even hear about this (no one did). Now I'm back to this video to see what else I should buy next. Thanks my man you rule. Edit: dammit....Tempest Rising and Ratten Reich arent out yet. Now wtf do I do.
The true successor though is Warno, they're former Eugen devs and they're going all on out with this project! Will be awesome too see where they take it.
So the best Tempest Rising is on number 15… should be number 1. 2.Zerospace . 3. Stormgate. 4 Aom retold. 5. Godsworn. So number 1 is a city builder with rts elements, do we even know how much of Rts we are gonna get in it? How a game we are not sure of how much rts it is be on number 1, above games we for 100% knows are rts games
Broken Arrow is like a fusion of Wargames and World in Conflict, which I like. The demo was pretty good. Can't wait for it's release. Terminator Dark Fate Defiance was actually surprisingly good. Somewhat janky though. If you like games like Men of War, Call to Arms, or Syrian Warfare, you'll probably like it. Very punishing with it's resources though. Which I guess makes sense when you're trying to run an army in the post-apocalypse. Big downside is it being set in the Dark Fate timeline instead of the T1-T2 timelines. Luckily the devs tried their hardest on making it resemble more of the future war shown in Terminator 2, especially once you start equipping your forces with plasma weaponry and you're fighting machines at night within the ruins of a city. Homeworld 3. Massive disappointment. They at least got the surface details right. Art-style and sounds are pretty good and resemble Homeworld. Everything else is a big let down. They dropped the beautiful motion-painting aesthetic for the cinematics for some ugly CG graphics with weird animations. The story makes Homeworld 2 look like a masterpiece, and the unit-variety is severely lacking. In the campaign, you only get ONE type of corvette-class unit. In previous games, you had multiple. Maps in both single player and campaign are way too close-quarters for a space game. They were too reliant on the megaliths/space-terrain that it got in the way of gameplay. Haven't felt this down since Dawn of War 3.
Tempest Rising, God Sworn, Stormgate and Mannor lords, those are the four game I wanna try so bad, as a guy that always played C&C Red alert 2, Warcraft III and Starcraft II. These new games might be my new favorites!!
Manor Lords demo, even if it focused only on city building was one of the best gaming experience I had, since a long time. Hope that the dev kept his word of making a game that HE enjoy first and not trying to content every one's wishes like other devs.
My brother and i like to play coop VS ai large scale rts total annihlation and supreme commander of course, but they are geting old now, coudn't find any recent rts like that :(
i konw there are games like this out there, but i never see it in games that look good, i want an experience system that carries over from game to game, i would love to see a game from a dev like eugene systems that would have a slow trickle of exp into your army as you use them, say for example after one game you had a rifle squad that survived one of those rifle men would get a promotion to a sgt, giving them a little more health or firepower in the next battle you played, i remember this in a tom clancy title called end war from 2009, fun as hell for that xp system i want but it was an over simplified game of rock paper scissors
I think the lay out of Stormgate and Zero Space is actually really cool. We're getting a new "warcraft 3" AND a new "starcraft 2" at the same time. I hope players end up enjoying both of them, i cant wait to see all the new factions and units from both games
Yo consider taking a look at Global Conflagration, sounds like it should be right up your alley. It's inspired by CnC with a new twist and sprinkled with realism.
