We try to be as self sufficient as possible with the foods that we can grow ourselves and encourage you to do so too. Grow your own food.

Hi Friends beautiful Dasheens, send me a bit have it seen anything like that for many moons. Most of the ground provisions we get here i the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 are inferior and inedible. Don’t know what country they’re coming from but they’re definitely not very nice. Happy planting can’t wait to see the grown produce ❤❤❤

@@FarmingOnTheRocks Am not able to go out as much as before for shopping, I depend on online shopping. The company I used to order from stopped trading, they were quite good. Am in the process of finding a new supplier with the hope they’ll be good.

I usually watch youtube from my TV but had to log on to my laptop to leave a comment. I absolutely LOVE your farm on the rocks! Each time I try to encourage my relatives and friends in Jamaica to grow something, they come up with a ton of excuses. I am also creating my food forest however, I haven't uploaded any of those videos to youtube as yet. I have uploaded a few on my facebook and instagram pages, but not here.
I am curious about your beets that you plan to grow. I'm assuming you plan on sowing them soon. Do beets grow well in the heat in Jamaica? I also see your cabbages growing in the heat. What cultivar of cabbages are those? Are they heat tolerant? I live in a similar climate to Jamaica, Right now, we are in the high 90's and raining a lot and I wouldn't dare grow those because the bug pressure is high. I only grow brassicas effortlessly in the cooler weather. Patiently awaiting your response. Those taros look amazing! A weh supermarket a guh!
Oh gosh! Thanks for your comment! I'm not sure why some persons in Jamaica shy away from planting food but it's very possible to do, no matter where you live. I just purchased green cabbage, they didn't specify. I grow beets all year round and in this video I did sow some. Please checkout my harvest playlist for some lovely beets that I've grown. I hope I didn't miss anything
