@One piece Anime Luffy what are you doing here?
Ling Ling *Maybe the highest age is different in China lol*
Awww man... glad y'all made a video of it... centuries of practice reduced to a few minutes and then gone
Great Big Story. This is astonishing, the level of beauty, cinematic, sound, the light. One of the most beautiful things I've hever seen. BTW it's sad to see this craft vanishing.

Fisherman: No no give me that, you have the little one

@@Cnftti jokes.
That scenery is absolutely picturesque
That place looks like a dream, absolutely indescribable !!
Damn, if he was my dad I'd want to learn that and continue the fishing generation that's cool.
@@NVGEAR yeah i know, I didn't mean that I would be a fisherman, I just thought it was cool.
@@NVGEAR i wouldnt want to replace my job... Though it would be fun and nice to see the world and live out in isolation for a while.
Magnificent scenery!
Their legacy shud b carried on as a part of ancient history.
no one stops you from doing so ;)
It is.. The domestic Chinese villagers still do it too.
I really love this old man way of fishing it's so calming
Something about this video is so beautiful.
When ur just a bird fishing and an old man shows up and starts stealing your kills
Anders 😂😂😂
it's not ks, it's kill secure
Anderson lmaoooo🤣
Anderson no doubt that the birds are better off than in the wild.. it's a relationship...
Really sucks that his son doesn’t want to learn this unique skill.
It probably takes an enormous amount of time to train and maintain the birds to only make a poverty wage. I can completely understand why the kids dont want to do it. Would you while living in a hut with no modern amenities?
thelongs27 yes that’s traditional living and i would give up social media and The city to live a life like that, they seem happy and healthy i would trade for that life anyday
@@unknownf5376 I think you are in love with the idea rather than the execution. We all think they are living this semi relaxed life style but its very far from the truth. They work and work hard, 7am to 7pm every day, no breaks, no electricity, no doctors, no modern convinces, no weekends. If you want that "traditional" living, why not get rid of modern things here?
Personally I think most traditions is just peer pressure from dead/old people to keep doing what they enjoyed.
thelongs27 cant do that in new york city but in the future i would love to leave all behind Don’t be so fast to judge and assume they look happy and enjoy what they do. Social media just fucks up traditional values and appreciation of real world things.
Just come back after those words transmit to actions and not excuses :)
He says "they cant swallow the big ones" that is why he give them the small one. Its easy to understand something if youre considerate.
Loarden Elioth he said that he closes the birds throat in advance that's why they can't swallow the fish and they need to keep the birds hungry otherwise they won't fish anymore so they only get the small fish
@@janvingst oh fck. Didnt see that. My bad. I thought it just a yarn for them to pull them up
Man situations like these are a double edged sword.
On the one hand it is amazing to see the history, tradition and skill
but on the other hand you just know it cannot compete with newer techniques and equipment.
I never know if preserving something like this is worth it or not, but it does have a magical quality to it that is just amazing to witness
Its sad to see this beautiful tradition fade away.
Bird: what if i eat the fish instead of giving it to you?
Old man: i will bring you to bird court, i file for bird fishing corruption. You also have no fish to pay bird lawyer because you ate it. You lose. Get inside bird jail (cage).
Bird:How many fishes you need today sir?
Or, people notice a old man having a squabble with a bird and get him a psychiatric evaluation and he is found to be unstable. The bird takes control of the operation and makes the man fish with nets.
Old man: How many fishes you need today sir?
“I’ll make the knot tighter, asshole”
@@icrashedyourcar328 perfect
Or old man trades for a small easy to eat fish to the bird
Age of Empire III 😱😱Chinese fishing boat!!!
Danial Ashraf Ghazali looking for this
I know right 😂, Chinese and Japanese fisherman in that game look exactly same.
This skill may not be able to support a family anymore, but if these guys were a little bit younger and more tech savvy, they could make a killing by getting paid to teach foreigners this skill. This would be a really cool hobby to wealthier people.
This will forever be the coolest video on the internet
This place looks beautiful and untouched such an ancient art of fishing with birds
I feel so sad that there are a lot of traditions and languages dying because no one could carry them... Oh wait scratch that, no one *wants* to carry them
And these would only be apart of our history, forgotten.
Never knew beast masters could use animals to help with gathering skills.
They are just like two magic beings living among humans.
I'm anticipating part 2. Very good stuff
Nets are cool and all but the camaraderie and relationship with the birds is priceless! GLORY TO THE LAMB BLESSINGS FOREVER!
A legacy that can't be carried on, an these guys be doing this for 60 years
China 🇨🇳 is so beautiful love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
X Gaming respect my fellow gamer
Northern Pakistan is also stunning my brother!
【ΤΗΞ ΙηΣ】 ΑζΤΞΚδ yeah bro it is but China is stunning 😍
I feel like this old man would give me a secret quest and reward me with a legendary item
This looks so fun to learn not only for fishing but building relationships
What a beautiful natural landscape
