Just replaced the engine, transmission, radiator and a few other things on my 2009 LS after 286,000 miles. Pretty much still have all the cosmetic issues you talk about in the video, but it’s hard to be this generation Tahoe
@@pistol850 they are definitely worth the work! Once you change the engine, however, all the little bugs that were hiding will pop up. It’s almost like all the parts get used to running a little bit off, then the new engine engine throws them all out of whack.
Thank you i am considering one of these or an old Durango. Dont have a budget so these reviews of old high mileage vehicles and the issues that come.with age are helpful to poor folk like me 😊. I think the main feature that draws me to Chevy is the LS based engine. No stupid 18 ft timing chains.
I have a 2008 Tahoe and she has 225,000 miles on her with original motor and still going strong biggest repair so far was rear differential had to be done early this year. Other than that she is a strong one and she has given me a great 15 years so far. Take care of them they will last!! #chevytough

How can anyone afford the Tahoe? I have an "01 Suburban with 320K miles and it's been very reliable - esp. the engine. These videos make me want to enjoy my OLD Suburban that's reliable. You guys must walk to work???

Love the channel you go over everything
Thank you. a 2012 and a 2007 are currently looking attractive, BUT my old 01 might be more trouble free - wondering if I should take the risk.
I have a 01 Yukon SLT 5.3L with 380k miles. Original motor and transmission.
I've got 01 Suburban with 320k miles on a 5.3L and it's been reliable. I think about a newer one, BUT don't want these issues.
@@dennishassler605 Based on my research if you want a newer model with the least amount of issues get a 2013.
the abs unit is actually underneath the car its an abs actuator unit that goes out wheel bearings have nothing to do with an abs sensor
I've had an 09 Yukon 5.3l for over 300k miles and there were no problems for me.
Nice = finally a good review. I've got an "01 Suburban with 320k miles and it's very reliable - great for long, long trips.

I appreciate that Triga. Haven’t done anything besides maintenance since then.
Thank you Chris

Where is your Astro
It’s chillin in the parking lot. The Tahoe needs a bit of loving
@@ImChrisDeDecker I understand that! I have two Chevy Express that need some loving along with my Astro

That’s funny. Who said I wanted a new truck? I was going over all the issues I’ve had. That doesn’t mean I don’t want it 😂
