Like the new kitchen sink. You must have got quite a shock at the rust on the bathroom sink. Looks like you changed it just in time before it fell out. I was watching this episode with my wife and said strange they are replacing those items so soon after the refit! But I’ve just looked back and that was 8 years ago! Flaming heck!
Decent silicone of the right grade, applied correctly, would bond that sink to that worktop no problem at all. No need for additional support, given the size and the max weight it's likely to bear.
Perhaps it didn't come across but by the time Hans cut the shape there were barely two edges left to support the sink. The additional supports were necessary.
Hi Jamie, degreaser does work great, but keep in mind that when sprayed into a confined space it can become terribly explosive, just ask you tube channel "Sailing Nutshell" he sprayed degreaser into the engine bay of his Hans Christian and almost destroyed his boat, they have an episode about it.
You guys! I think we have the same laminate from the same era and the same source and DAMN but it's a mess. I bet that feels AMAZING. Working on sorting out our own replacement and thinking solid surfacing, too.
Hey Totem Massive, how's it going? We were disappointed with that laminate but then we used it elsewhere on the boat and it's been fine. I think it just got a hammering in the galley. With solid surfaces there's the weight issue, but then when have we ever put performance of the boat over comfort?! Hope you guys are well.
@@followtheboat Ours (Wilsonart) was in galley and on our table in the main cabin. All heavily used. I thought the 'concrete' style was meant to be more durable; didn't pan out that way. Still muddling through options on what to do. Yours looks great! Life is good. Let's meet up in Japan. 🙂
Ahh Jamie I don't know why I didn't comment before. But I am in love with that WAVES Hawaiian shirt. Man that is the PERFECT shirt for my channel. I googled and can't find it. Where did you get it?
That's a Uniqlo special. They did a series of shirts using prints from some art museum. This of course is Hokusai's The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. It was a limited run but you can find variations on a theme online.
You make even the mundane interesting... Btw, nice mental edit, Jamie, at 14:21 -- will even a partial labial fricative get you tagged by TH-cam as a potty mouth??😁 All best as always.
Haha! You can swear on TH-cam as long as it's occasional. The worst that can happen is you get advertising pulled. You calling our sinks "mundane"? Haha! Liz
Yay! A new bench is so nice! It really takes the most abuse.
Your refit video series is my favorite! Nice to see more.
Glad you like them, but I have to admit we much prefer the sailing and travel to the mending. Haha! Liz

I know, Ross, it seems like only yesterday that we were in the yard with all those wonderful people. Cheers! Liz

Always good to use the “Pro-from-Dover” Hans👍 Esper looking Really “Ship Shape” Continue to Stay Safe & Enjoy😎
He's a legend, and a really nice guy. Cheers! Liz
Looks really sharp! Great to have good workers.
Yes, he's an excellent carpenter (and electrician) so we were lucky to have him there. Cheers! Liz
Yeah I found out about those screws the hard way. No damn way to see them either. Practically redoing the counter now because of it.

Good point, John. This is a lesson well worth remembering.
A ship shape makeover!
Yes Indeed! We love using both areas again now. Cheers! Liz

Sounds like a plan!
How. Bathroom looks good

What brand of degreaser? Where is the dyed easter chic?
Any old brand we can buy, borrow or beg. She's right here. Haha! Liz
... Cheers...
