    I'm seriously thinking of one of these for my next one. My Bell Qualifier is toast after my crash.

      Go for it. Will not disappoint. Premium helmet at reasonable price. I don't think I can ever forego the lightness this helmet offers if I ever had to change helmets again.

      @@MacRiderOfficial I'm between a Shoei, this, and RuRoc... The Bell I had was irritatingly noisy, I'm told the RuRocs are pretty loud as well... I just really wish more helmets used the Fidlock like Ruroc does.

      One of the biggest reasons I bought this helmet was Safety. Shoei and AGV are proven helmets worn by motogp riders whereas Ruroc is not. I personally wouldn't trust the magnetic lock even though its convenient to use no matter what they say. Another added bonus is the AGV visor has a latch mechanism too, so incase of a crash your visor will still remain shut and not go flying off like other helmets. I tried Shoei rf 1200 and AGV beats it in every way. Shoei came out with new rf 1400 and lol its more heavier than rf 1200. Just my 2 cents.

      @@MacRiderOfficial Fidlock's magnetic closure is a proven system as well. The Ruroc helmets are new on the market, and don't have the history, but they pass the same tests as everyone else does to get that ECE certification. I won't be racing, so if something is snell rated I really don't care.
      I ride cruisers. Noise and weight are my main concerns. Bell Qualifier is what I'm replacing, and if not for a couple issues I had with that helmet, my experience with the qualifier in the crash would be enough to say "get another one".

      It seems I was in the same boat as you few months ago when I was looking to replace my LS2 modular helmet. Ruroc, Shoei, Arai, Bell were all on my list. Got to hand it Ruroc really does look good and menacing, will stand out while wearing it. I was really considering Ruroc in terms of how good I would look wearing it but In the end I went with proven reliability and lightest helmet of the bunch AGV. It is pretty good in term of noise too, not like Schuberth quiet but more quieter than average (way more quieter than the modular helmet). In the past I have made mistake of buying cheap knockoff helmets on Amazon, though they had DOT, ECE certification too. Ruroc seems like decent company but it wasn't enough for purpose I use. Its just piece of mind when one is wearing a Shoei, Arai, HJC and AGV in terms of safety. Whenever somebody comes for advice on helmets I always recommend these big names. This time around I chose AGV K6 because its the lightest, quietest and most value for money of the bunch. You can buy any helmet you want, in the end you should feel good and happy about it while wearing it. Hope this helps.

    What are your thoughts now after having it a couple years? I hear the build quality is not that great and parts of the helmet come off/break easily like the trim and plastic pieces. And from one review the user said when it rained it seeped through the visor seal and made it fog up...How are the cheek pads now, are they still decently firm? I'm deciding between this and Shoei RF-1400. You mentioned in a previous comment that you like this much more than the 1200, how so?

    • @MacRiderOfficial
      @MacRiderOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Still using it. It has held up. Cheek pads are still good. No leaks. The visor button is loosened up but still works. Nothing is broken, helmet still lives. All in all nothing to complain about. I did give it to a friend to try, he thought it was a cheap product because of how light it is lol, said it was like cheap china plastic lol. I havn't tried RF 1400 which I probably gonna do in future. Don't worry about this falling apart, it has lasted me till now with heavy use.

    Only thing with this helmet they don’t make a pro tint for it …

    • @MacRiderOfficial
      @MacRiderOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are right. You can get the permanent tinted ones or wear motorcycle glasses.

      I checked the box, all manuals and papers that came with it and interestingly there is no mention of country of manufacture. There is a video by Fortnine which mentions its made in China but designed in Italy. I am going to email AGV and find out.

      This is my only concern of this helmet. I know Pista and Corsa are truly Italian made but the lower models are made somewhere else. I just hope Sharp will test this helmet soon.

    • @MacRiderOfficial
      @MacRiderOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got this reply from AGV: Designed in Italy produced in China to AGV's quality standards - meeting ECE and DOT safety standards.
