I would just like to point out that the specific part of the Ending Theme titled Epilogue (starting at 59:17) is in most other Final Fantasy games under the title "Final Fantasy".
At 12:28 during Search for Companions I get caught up in the wave of hope. As the score travels higher and higher to this powerful dance of violin strings. How could anyone listen to this song and not get filled with emotion. It's beautiful. I remember playing this game Christmas year it came to the states. I was hooked. And while all of the music in the remaster was perfectly updated. This song....this song made me stop playing and get lost in the emotion. I just sat there, after the sequence with the Falcon floating just listening to it over and over.
I love the original chiptune of these songs, but these aren't just straight orchestrations of the originals. The most notable thing to me is the bass guitar part. There are a ton of additional fills that are subtle, but add a bunch of personality and momentum to the songs. Masterpiece, both the old and the new.

So that's partially how I ran into your videos. It's a good example of being able to compare the track titles for me and I just love the way you put it together with the music and relevant scenes. GoGo was a silly easter egg character who, at the time I felt really shouldn't have been in the game. But I'll be damned if his theme song hasn't been stuck in my head for like 28 years now....
Love the mixture of reactions in the comments. I really wish they kept this one as simple as all of FF5's arrangements. There are way too many misses for a world class game/OST. Setzer's Theme is my favorite from the first half of the game, which seems straight out of an ending arrangement. Glad to hear that the ending theme seems to be well received. I'll have to complete the game (just beat FF5, practically first time seeing; amazing) finally, and hear it. Can't wait! For some reason, I like Narshe's new arrangement a lot despite being very different. Not sure how someone who had never played the game would perceive it, though. They went WAY too hard (and good!) for Johnny C Bad. Like 4 minutes. Yet, they actually went TOO minimal for Terra's Theme, and didn't elongate _that_ one.
Searching For Friends sounds great ...until they get to the new section they added which tries too hard to sound "EPIC" and dramatic, undermining the determined stoicism of the original. Talk about a monkey's paw interpretation. If I find an MP3, I'll cut out the second half and make it loop the original part again.
They really screwed up the Last Dungeon music with the dumb electric guitar. It drowns out the other instruments that supported the main theme. Dropped the ball by way overdoing it.

懐かしいな。スーファミの頃マジで7~8回やったゲームだから今はもうやる時間ないけど、大好きなゲームの一つです。

当時は世界崩壊した後は絶望しかなかったなー。懐かしい、そして、この音楽なら尚更絶望したな。それくらいパワーアップしてる。最初にマッシュにあった時にどれだけ安心したか。
