LOL, in the North Atlantic region we get some beaches with nice fine sand but for many the wind and currents and storms wash it away leaving that very "coarse sand"😂
I live in Tarbert Loch Fyne and thank you for showcasing my beautiful country which I have the pleasure of living, working and cycling in. You had amazing weather and although the midgies turned up they were nothing like they are now (brutal)!
These are my favourite type of videos you post, as well as the simplicity of going for a local ride and a cake stop. That's what got me subscribing. I'm not into the races so much. Love a good bike packing vid too, I can imagine doing it, it's relatable for me. I'm there with ya 😅
It looked like you girls landed on paradise island! 5:45 really made an impression on me. You are really vibing to these camping spots, so much sportier and bolder then posher alternatives. Very inspirational too! So far so good; some ferry miscalculations but it's all good! 😁😊
Juliet - if your Bike starts wobbling in such a way, that is a sign that immediate attention is required.. I once ignored such a sign before a downhill in Derbyshire. Long story short, ended up curled up in a ball by the roadside waiting on an Ambulance due to the Bike falling apart during a swift downhill into Tideswell.. Safety First.
My mate is doing the nc500 at the moment ,I wouldn't be surprised if he was the chap you saw naked on the beach ,He just coming down the east coast from Wick .Enjoy your trip .
The British look at forecasts with the hope they will be right, we then moan when they are not. The British like to talk at the weather and many names for certain conditions
Loved this video Juliet❤ 👌 Brave to go wild swimming, but you gave off an air of someone happy 🥰 The comment about looking like a giant over stuffed sausage was brilliant😉🤘🏼 Not jealous but feeling sorry for myself ‘cos I can’t yet walk let alone cycle😖 Love Scotland❤️🔥 Friendliest people ever🤩👍 Well done xxx
I had a wobble like that once, never again. I think it ourselves to do with weight distribution on the front end. I have riding multiple trips with a variety of bag setups and never had a wobble. On one trip I had that slight wobble but never again? So yeah I think it’s a packing thing and not a mechanical thing
Living a mile from the Arran ferry I kinda take it for granted a bit but I do love doing the islands. Cracks me up at you English pronounciation Arran is nice but Islay has the most amazing sunsets and the last few weeks we have had the most amazing weather even when it’s been raining in Englandshire🤣. Do think you are missing out on some of the wonderful sights on the islands though but it’s a great area for cold water dipping. Midges what midges🤣
Hey Juliet, hope you're well!? I've been following this little fun trip-ette. I've been following your channel for quite some time, and after some inspiration from yourself, and chatting with you in the comments I bought the Alpkit Soloist for my own camping adventures. The Soloist is a great tent (thanks for your input on this purchase😊), but I'm very interested in the Alpkit tent you're using on this adventure!? I've caught several of Katie's posts, and in one of hers, she said you'd damaged the flysheet of your new tent..oops! I was just wondering what you think about it in comparison to the Soloist? What an amazing place(s) the pair of you have found, looks brilliant! Take care Juliet 😊
Had I know you were at that beach I could have arranged a hot tub as my friend stays about a two minute walk ,you could have camped on the sand no bother ,just bought the soloist for the dolomites next month 👍🏴
@@JulietElliottsChannel hi Juliet I lived there for 2 years working years ago im English and got called out for spelling the place Isla lovely place to work by the way
I'm disappointed that you don't really seem to be riding with Katie. Rather travelling the same route at the same time. I was hoping for more interaction between you both. Discussing your cycling journeys, experiences and the kit you use. Katie should have waited for you at the Ferry. Or before!
I had some mechanical issues and sorting the while Juliette was at the cafe. I was riding up and down testing the tyre (was going flat argghhhh). Then it was rubbing on the frame so I went down to wait for the ferry and sorting that while it came in. Went on and thought Juliette would be behind me... but turned to see the doors lifting hahahaha. She thought it was 1.50 not 1.15pm. Makes for a better story right?
Thank you, thank you, thank you for actually riding gravel roads and camping out. Using the title "bikepacking" when TH-camrs ride 100% pavement from posh hotel to hotel doesn't fit the term. So glad to see both you and Katy on a trip together, I enjoy both your channels
THIS WAS / IS the best camp spot ever ever ever!!!!!!
0:29 Watching from the Caribbean. I must say these 'grains' of sand a rather HUGE!
LOL, in the North Atlantic region we get some beaches with nice fine sand but for many the wind and currents and storms wash it away leaving that very "coarse sand"😂
The whole trip , so far is lush !
Amazed you've managed to pack so much kit on your bike, very inspirational actually, I'm now thinking about bike packing this year
Have fun!
🥶0:43 aha I know that feeling!! It´s way colder than expected but don´t want to be caught bailing out back to beach!!

Glad you like them! I love making them ☺️
I’ve loved watching this little adventure. Some genuine, wholesome fun, friendship, and laughs. Thanks for bringing us along☺️

Yeah geez that looked dodgy. Do you know what failed on yours? Hope you’ve fully recovered.
Sorry to hear that!
Yeah, you’re right. I did check it out but didn’t actually find out the cause. Just went away. Mysterious!
usually weight distribution on the front can happen if uneven. @@JulietElliottsChannel

Lovely camping spots for a nice adventure Juliet
For a people who are so obsessed with how inclement your weather is, it's always funny/odd when you're surprised by the weather 🤔🙃

3 Quid a ferry? Amazing. Britain is gorgeous.
Great vid and a lovely looking green jacket too.

The people were incredibly friendly, it was amazing!! Hope you’re bike on the bike before too long
The grass is always greener under the other tent
My restrap hydration pack arrived this week - thanks for the can of beer confirmation - it'll be getting road tested this weekend =)
Awesome, enjoy!
Great stuff, Juliett!
Thank you!
When Cade Media recently went to Malaysia with Ben Chappers and another chap, we were able to see good communication and banter and bike discussions.
Whats your point? 😅
@1esk192 😂 well said

My bike does that wobble with bar bag on
It’s strange as it stopped doing it without me doing anything
So brave, getting out of a warm sleeping bag and swimming in the cold water.
I really like doing it, it makes you feel amazing!
I just love this trip! I really want to cycle the Hebridean Way, but it's getting my bike and stuff to the start that stumps me atm.
Yeah the logistics of all these things are always a pain

Thank you. Mine is the 14L version

I want to try every sandwich at the sandwich station! But it’s 4000 miles away from me 😫
Why can’t we have sandwiches like that here?
Ha, yeah it’s so good I’ll make the journey back there sometime too!
Jeez how do you do that freezin dive... brrrrrr😂
❤
Islay is amazing 🤩 Stunning scenery, quiet roads, whiskey and of course the Islay wave 👋
I’m going to be relocating there in the next few years.
Hope you enjoy it!
Stunning figure in a bathing suit. No doubt the water was quite cold but you made look warm and very relaxing.
Can anyone recommend any Packable insulated jackets please
Do you take a bike lock bike packing? If so, which one?
I didn’t. But sometimes a take a Hiplok one called a z lock I think

Good single malt antifreeze has that effect at times. 😂
Lets camp on the beach 😳 Yeah one high tide later 🆘🆘🆘😂😂
Phew !
Be honest you went to the pub rather than the ferry 🥃🤙🏼😂

Sorry to spoil this but Arran is totally rotten with ticks. I have camped there, inc that spot, there are ticks galore, they love human blood.
Lots of ticks in Devon, right where I live. Cant let it stop you, just have to take precautions
