Re-watching this after cycling around Arran myself - I always love coming back to your videos! It gives me such a comforting, cosy feeling.

Ah thank you so much :) How was your trip? We really loved it there! Hope the midges didn't eat you alive!

@@joshandsarahride It was a wet journey in May, but every turn presented new views and new, rich smells! Thankfully I was spared from the midges 😅

Ah the Glen Rosa midges. I remember a sweaty evening in the tent as any opening of the door was horrendous.

Haa yes they can be a real nuisance!

I've been steadily and joyfully going through all your videos and I must say this one made me a little emotional! I absolutely adore seals, everything about them as creatures down to all the folklore surrounding them. I am in New Zealand so due to the financial and environmental state of the world, I will never get to places like Scotland to see such magnificent sites. But it truly warmed my heart to see the footage you captured so beautifully of the seals and I loved seeing you take the time to really appreciate these wonderful creatures. The way you capture your adventures is truly breathtaking and I really and truly appreciate it all because by the end of each video I too feel like I've been on a little adventure myself.

Thank you so much! Seals really are amazing animals. Do you get them in new Zealand at all? Scotland is very beautiful but new Zealand looks amazing too, a place we'd love to explore.

Hey guys, seen your channel in passing a few times, but this is the first one we've properly sat down to watch on the TV. It was great! We are avid bikepackers but often find other content a little serious and we're definitely not, we are #topfaffers! We really related to your enjoyment of a free few days without schedule or objectives and taking in all the natural surroundings. Great video, you make a great pair, and thank you for creating!

Hey there, thanks for watching! Ha, can't take life too seriously. Topfaffers sounds right up our street too. We used to cycle pretty hard and fast but I think we've realised that, at heart, we love nature and travelling, and using the bikes to explore them. Too fast and we find you miss out a whole lot. Nice to find your channel too. Any islands you would particularly recommend exploring?

@@joshandsarahride there's actually a 100mile road loop that starts from Arran called the five ferries tour, that does a few islands and bit of the main land. We did that then inspired, tried to make a MTB version, we went from ardrossan north to Skelmorlie, Via Knock hill, then crossed Bute, north to colintrave, took off road route to poravadie, then ferry to tarbert, then followed Kintyre way, (rough in places) south, nipped on to Gigha, (North twin beaches are a must) then continued on Kintyre way south to Campbeltown. There's a summer ferry back to ardrossan a couple of days a week. Though try to avoid arriving in Campbeltown on a Sunday as there is only the supermarket open. I think we did it in four days but would probably schedule 5 if doing it again as we did a 100k+ day 1. It's on the channel under Bikepacking the west coast. There's a couple of pushy bits but other than that it's a great route. DM us on insta @terra_venture if you want any more info.

@@TerraVenture amazing, thanks! Ha, yep, trying to avoid 100 km days if possible now 😅 will say hello on Insta. We've also been looking at the Wild About Argyll trail. Have you done much of this?

@@joshandsarahride not so much! We are based in central Scotland and have the luxury of being able to head north to the bigger hills pretty easily, but it's probably an area well explore at some point 👌

Well. This one is going on the bucket list. Wild camping, wild life, good food and magnificent scenery. The whiskey 🤔 I'm with Sarah on that one. 😆.

It's such a good combo, right! Ha, yes, the whiskey is a work in progres... If we could just find an island with whiskey AND gin distilleries then we could even it out 😅
