AC1 is so much better than a C. One of the best stories. filtering little bits of information to the player just enough that it's possible to figure out the big twist. It's not a bad game at all, it's a great foundation but i just find it so repetitive and mind numbing about halfway through, totally get why you love it and on paper it has a great combat system. Just think after playing the sequels it takes a step back for me but i had a blast back in 2008 :)
@@JacksGameReviews I understand how people could get bored of the investigations but they do provide some nice bits of story. The 10 main missions are totally worth it though. The combat system is still the best in the series. In AC2 it was gutted and replaced with aesthetics. We, including me, overlooked the majority of what the combat offered back in the day by waiting for a counter every time instead of being aggressive with all the different parts of it.
I agree. I’ve beat the first two and after a few hours I just stopped enjoying ac2. The story was cartoonish and a clear step down from the first game, all the characters were bland and barely had character development, and the combat and parkour just got super repetitive after like 3 hours. AC1 was repetitive too, but the combat felt at least a little more engaging and the story was good enough to keep me interested. And the time skips in AC2 were just so weird. I was surprised to learn Ezio is like 40 at the end of the game, he was exactly the same. I’ve started playing Brotherhood and the story even after like 2 hours is already way better than ac2. I just still don’t really like the gameplay in general so I don’t know if I’ll finish it.
I didn’t even think Brotherhood was better than 2 when I played it tbh, I also think Revalations is the best out of the Trilogy and honestly throughout the franchise.
