The aluminium profile looks to be designed for thicker material, I'd assume the wood is there as a gap filler and also to add attachment points to. Just a guess so don't quote me on that.
I have a 1/2 ton truck I want to build an over-size camper to fit but cannot find this or nida core at realistic figures to put one together, any suggestions ?
Hi , where are you based. The example shown on the video can also be simplified by directly gluing the panels between themselves, you just need to use screws for pressing during gluing. The advantage of these panels compared to honeycomb structure is that they are insulating. The average weight is 6 kg /sqm so you can calculate the total weight of the assembly. TC
+thierry clairiot I'm in houston area and wonder if there could be suppliers in this area? web sites? I have a Nissan Titan crew with a 5'7" bed but a 6 foot cab area and need to customize a shell for these particular dimensions, thanx.............
Hi , Thanks for your interest. We are not active in the US even if we have tried to approach this huge market. We sell our panels in all Europe and in Asia. In the meantime my suggestion would be to make a copy of our panel by gluing laminate on a core pof PET foam, if it is done correctly, you will approach the characteristics of our panels. Good luck. Try searching for someone scrapping truck bodiesand selling off the sides for fence panels or sheds. Here in the UK, we can buy used GRP panels for peanuts, (£5 for 25x8 feet panel! ) on Ebay
Felicitation.
@@exogator even that way, condensation appears. I had non insulated box on my truck and even I did't live inside it, I got condensation drops inside, in the winter. Maybe because of the big temperature diffrences between day and night..

Is there a reason why wood is placed between the aluminum and the panel?

The lower section uses the plywood to protect the panels from impact damage caused pallets and pallet jacks
@@chimrichalds1422 Also make the box much heavier.

The aluminium profile will transmit the winter temperature inside and will condensate. How do you mange that?
They don't use it as a house?

I'm not sure how to avoid it, unless you double wall it but then you end up with a wet layer between the boxes

What adhesive are you using to bond the panels to the corner pieces?
