Looking at the specs it has extremely much resembles with the Xiaomi S2 Pro watch, but also makes sense when doing a closer search on which company owns wich companies 😀
Then one can pretty easy figure out that components used in Amazfit watches are made at some factory co-owned/owned by Xiaomi.
Not anymore, both companies split ways a few years ago...
I recently played a lot with the recent Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro. ..and as much as I like it ..I would say Amazfit Balance has way more to offer..especially if you are into fitness tracking recovery , health and more.

Hard "no" to Apple and Samsung. 20-50% more expensive and no battery life to talk about.

Did you notice that this watch of some lights look like pink/purple ilumination? I wanna send it back and maybe buy the black version.
This question bothers me too. I wanted silver version, but I see your complain (also some on reddit - maybe it was also you) on purple/pink tint. It that's the fact I'd rather like black version....

Is balance have offline map like cheetah
Two concerns:
1. No barometric pressure sensor so no altitude measurements except possibly via GPS. Same problem as Garmin's new VA5.
2. No Gorilla glass so should buy a screen protector for this watch.
I like the focus of a lifestyle watch and not so much smartwatch or exercise watch.

As nice as I think the Balance is I think amazfit should stick to making affordable smartwatches. At high price there are too many options.
Totally agree, they should continue with their BIP series with translucent screen. I had the original BIP, then upgraded to the BIP S and still use it till this day. Nothing beats the 20+ day battery life.
I got it. A lot of features that u need to my how to access. Your vid showed me they’re there, but not really how to access. Hard to tell what button you were pushing. Also the readiness feature needs to be running for 7 days before you can access the info. Still this is a great vid and I’m following along with my watch.
i cannot agree i does not look like any of the previous amazfit watches, it's slightly modified gtr4 design.
Too pricey for a lower end watch brand. Trex series and gtr are more reasonably priced instead of this, both other great options

Huawei software is a joke compared to Zepp plus Huawei is blocked on Google and Apple store so you always have to find a workaround. Too bad their hardware is a beast.
But there are some apps that only works on Huawei phones.

@@vargeszter It is a slightly reworked version of the GTR 4 design, not that that's a bad thing. It's relatively thin and light for a modern smartwatch. The main changes are under the hood. Much, much better sensors and finally a NFC chip in the EU version, which supports wireless payments. My GTS 4 would frequently give completely wrong heart rates (like 70-80 BPM when I was walking up a steep hill), hasn't happened once in 2 months of wearing the Balance. Only point of critique I have, owning one, is that's I would have liked them to stick to the wireless charging of the GTR 4 limited edition, so we're not tied in to model specific pin chargers.
Go for a better brand rather than a china brand.

Garmin Venu series. Or Apple watch. If you cant afford the latest series, maybe go for SE series or older series which is still on sale..
