SUCH a BEAUTIFUL song. I really wasn't expecting to get so emotional during this film but it happened and just the whole scene was so powerful. Everything about it from the lyrics to the melody to the scenery. It was magical.

@@julisommer1246It’s so clever the way the pair of them essentially sing to themselves. Noodle voicing her trepidation about allowing a little of the joy into her life that she’s been deprived of. Wonka, seemingly oblivious, just goes off on a flight of fanciful wordplay with Noodle at the centre of it. Sharing the abundance of innocence that his careworn young friend should still have.

I didn't have many expectations when I came to the theater with my kids to entertain them. However, this movie actually amazed me with its story, characters, acting, and cinematography. I cried while watching this scene. When I left the theater after 2 hours, I realized that I had become much happier. It was the kind of movie that will make you feel like life is something worth living, and life is nothing without pure imagination.

this is absolutely my most fav out of all the others ;; it's just so well made, noodle's gloomy pessimistic view of life colliding with willy's infectious joyful personality with his nonsense rhyming, noodle ended up sounding happy and the two of them giggling, everything is just so perfect 😭💕

Neil Hannon under the Divine Comedy has been creating beauty like this for over 30 years. You probably know his music from Father Ted, IT croud and the song National Express but his back catalogue is criminally underrated and under played on radio.

I'm not sure why but i didnt see a single Ad for this movie. If only i knew I would have taken my son to the cinema but we watched this at home and we all cant stop listening to these songs. My 6 year old asked me to put 'Hatful of Dreams' as his wake up alarm. Great move and songs! Hope they turn it into a West End musical
The instrumental bit when they dance on top of the building is AMAZING. I also love all the key changes. Even though it does keep the same sounds as the first verse throughout the song, it makes it feel like it’s a completely different mood when it key changes, which is so cool. I love it.

Judging from the reactions of the crowd in the cinema today I wouldn't be surprised if this song will be one of the nominees for best original song at the Academy Awards next year. I think even the last person unsure if they would enjoy a film heavily relying on nostalgia were sold with after this number.
