I actually think that’s the worst line of the song as it breaks character. They live in a world/city with a merger of accents, that has its own currency which is clearly a break from the normal world that we know. There’s a mix of modern, futuristic and old and it does a great job of demonstrating that this world is separate and has its own culture. Then with this line it culturally references New York entertainment and breaks its own character
I think they did take some musical inspiration from Mary poppins I don't know if you noticed but when wonka and noodle danced with the balloons in a scene it reminded me of Mary poppins and bert choreography in jolly holiday when Bert holds Mary Collins hand and she flys around in a circle before they dance off towards the lake then noodle flew with the balloons and wonka held her hand and she went round in a circle before they danced of together if you watch both scenes you will see I think even musically they took inspiration from Mary poppins but still wonka was a great movie!
Same! My parents wanted to c this, I kinda wanted to even tho I thought it was gonna be bad but ended up loving it, I need a sequel to this, but prequal to the og
I thought it might rhyme even better if the line was “and those are consonants” as Noodle points to both the C and T around the A in the movie, so you get that “s” sound in there too. And an extra long-o assonance with “your” and “those.”
Okay, please explain to me what exactly you find so riveting about that particular line. Last I checked nonsenence isn't even a word. I get he makes up words, but I wouldn't say there's anything incredibly witty or clever about it.

Originally I thought it was ok, but not great, however after a few days had passed and I had the time to reflect on the movie, I think Tim Chalamet should win an award, what a heart lifting performance!
TBH Keagan Michael-Key is basically %90 of the comedy, which was to expected. Not saying other funny moments ARENT funny, just saying he got the most chuckles.
This movie… actually wasn’t bad. Dare I say, I ended up loving this. I thought I was gonna hate this because I was scared of the idea of someone rewriting a beloved roald Dahl character. I’m glad I was wrong because it was great. I hated the Johnny Depp one, so this movie is like rehab from that monstrosity. It’s by the same people who did horrible histories so I’m not even surprised
If you were so concerned about someone rewriting Dahl's character and story, then why did you hate the Depp one? That one was made super faithful to the book and is a direct adaptation, getting Dahl's wife's approval and direct involvement.
The Depp version is great. Depp played the part perfectly. Wonka has always been a twisted character the Wilder version is beloved but completely inaccurate to how the character should be and Roald Dahl despised it. Dahl's wife was a crucial part in the creation of the Depp version and made sure it captured how the character should be. The same goes for the story the older version made many errors in its story (the worst being the fizzy lifting drink) which is one of the key reasons Dahl despised the film with a passion whereas the Depp one stayed true to the books with the addition of Wonka’s backstory which was a collaborative effort between Burton and Dahls wife and takes a lot of inspiration from cut sections of the original book.
I was actually quite surprised when I found out this movie was in the works. But as time went by, I grew cautiously hyped. I can’t choose between the 3 film incarnations. But Wonka deservss to join them. Although I’ve seen the Gene Wilder version more times than Johnny Depp. But I really enjoyed this new one.

They seem to look straight through
Or like you're something brown they found upon the bottom of their shoe
Have you been following me?
But this should lift the gloom
My giraffe-milk macaron
Just take a chance and you'll be dancing to a different tune
Goodbye to feeling small
And frightened of it all
Just eat a few of these and you'll be feeling ten feet tall
Wеll, there's chocolate
And thеre's chocolate
Only Wonka's makes your confidence skyrockelet
Put your hand into your pockelet
Get yourself some Wonka chocolate
Madame, just one kiss
Yes, please
You've never had chocolate like this
No, we've never had chocolate like this
Have you tried his new one? (No)
Oh, you've got to have a go
Just pop one in and everything becomes a Broadway show
The news that makes you gasp
The jokes that make you laugh
All that you say and do all day will be choreographed
Lost your hair, can't think where
Feeling fairly bare up there
Don't despair, I come prepared
Behold my hair repair eclair
It's made from ground vanilla
From the markets of Manila
Take heed, eat more than three, and you'll end up like a gorilla
Well, there's chocolate
And there's chocolate
Only Wonka's makes you hop around the clockelet
Put your hand into your pockelet, get yourself
Oh, put a sock in it
Make sure they're all frisked
Have you ever had chocolate like this?
I've never had chocolate like this (Never had chocolate like this)
(Never had chocolate like this)
Well, there's literate and illiterate
Can you tell me what this word is?
Not a bit of it
Well, that's a vowel and that's a consonant
What's that now? You're talking nonsenense
I should call it quits
But you've never sold chocolate like this
Well, there's chocolate (I understand that)
And there's chocolate (Totally true)
Only Wonka drives a hole right through our profilets (Yes, but what I'm trying to tell you is that)
Is that if we don't get on top of this (Uh-huh?)
We'll go bust, choco-pocalypse
We'll cease to exist
But fellas, you've never had chocolate like this
No, we've never had chocolate like this
Well, there's chocolate (Well, there's chocolate)
And there's chocolate (And there's chocolate)
Only mine'll find you buying wedding frockelets
We have just tied the knot and it's
All because of Wonka's chocolate
Off to a life of bliss
You've never had chocolate like this (Ah)
No, we've never had chocolate like this
Have you ever had chocolate like this?
No, we've never had chocolate
No, we've never had chocolate like this

My daughter absolutely loves this movie and song. We wish it was a Theater musical in the UK one day that would be magical!
This is gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
For me this is my favourite song in the movie. The vocals are perfect and I just wanna breakdance to it

The best song from Wonka Movie!! So fun and fresh!! I also liked other songs like Scrumb, Scrumb , Oompa Loompa songs, For a moment and off course Pure Imagination. But this one really rocks!!
I've been disappointed by all musicals in the past 15 years, this one blew me away.
Joyful stupidity. Awesome.
Welcome to your entry into the classics.
Not even The Greatest Showman?
Come on... You must've at least liked Hugh Jackman's Les Miserables, Ryan Reynolds' Spirited or The Greatest Showman.

This movie was so cute and amazing. It's fun to think about how this story was originally a children's book, but has turned into something even more amazing! :)
This entire show is just exaggerating the effects of Chocolate but I'm so glad I watched this as my first movie in a theatre, and before the 2009 film. I wanna rewatch this show 10000x over!!
It’s an awesome movie to watch in the theater. So many scenes are visually stunning. This scene, the dance after escaping the zoo with the balloons, etc.

This should be sent to the Oscar’s
The JD one was absolute dogshit. Unsurprising considering 😂
Wonka is absolutely fantastic ❤
But I really enjoyed this new one.
yeah... MOST people assumed the movie was gonna be bad. And it's like they went to the cinema just to confirm it XD reviewers today
