The best soluton from that company GenMachine/Tianbo is 6800hs 16/512 $300 miniPC. A bit outdated, but awesome price.
“Is this the fastest mini PC yet?!”
"Like always."
not yet. Minisforum UM780Pro (with 7840hs) is actually faster than this, at least in cpuz benchmark.
This week
@@ericliume i think Neptune HX99G. That Mini-PC can play at 1440p AAA-Games at High/Ultra Settings solid 60+ FPS.
😂😂 it's becoming ironic at this point.
It's not like he can't get his hands on other cool s*** that's not mini PC's
I love the inclusion of 2.5G LAN on these. When these things age out for HTPC gaming, they will be a wicked fast firewall+caching server, 1G in, but 2.5G out for things like SteamCache
Could you do a comparison of the top 10-15 mini PCs that you've looked at over the last year-ish please? - it would be great to see which ones are best suited to what; e.g. which ones have best general processing, which have been best for gaming, which are best for heat management on extended loads etc., best all rounders for study/office work etc
A breakdown by CPU would be nice. The best N100 by features, or price, etc etc
This is a great idea for a video.
Ya'll might have to wait until the end of the year
He won't do this. Because he is just a sellout now.
I like the looks of the case.
Thanks for the wrap up, man.
What about the noise? Want to order one of these, but not sure about the fan quality.
Can you record the noise in normal / stressed mode?
It's crazy that all these mini pcsthat with the same specs perform the same in all the benchmarks. Thanks for confirming this once again ETA PRIME. Keep up the good work!
love to see how well this runs all high end emulation
At this point, almost as interesting as knowing the limits of performance is knowing the durability of this type of equipment in the long run. After two or three years of daily use, are they still viable? Do they break down a lot? And if its cooling system remained acceptable in both performance and noise levels. And how to manage spare parts.
Love the design ❤️
This sounds like an ideal system for some of the older games I like to play. It would definitely make a nice dedicated "gaming console" with Steam or GOG games.
What is your thoughts on getting one of these opposed to a Beelink SER6 Max or GTR7 for gaming? I don't really need to play the latest games on the highest settings, but seeing you run Helldivers 2 with pretty decent results definitely got my interest sparked.
Ser 6 Max is discontinued and replaced with an updated version. As for peeformance difference, I cannot say.
Does this device support both M.2 slots populated as well as the SATA 7mm slot at the same time? I think it would be way overkill for the cooling, especially with two hot M.2 drives... It can go to 60+ watts via BIOS, one would assume.
Great! Can this mini pc work good with games like Pinball Fx or M? Thanks
How does the Ryzen chips run AutoCADD and how are they with intense math calculations? I not a gamer but I use the computer for structural calculations and haave always used Intel chips with my current computer using the i9 10900KF. Thanks for your time and I really like your channel format.
what kind of chip is used for LAN? can you try to install esxi for a homelab?
Very power efficient mini-pc! I would like to see a server version with dual 10GB SFP+. 😋
Can you show ChimersOS on it? 😁 I'm looking around at how i want to set up a system to replace the old Dell SFF i put together to test the idea od Chimera and ended up loving it.
Does the USB-C power port do video out, or is it just for power?
Its odd, since Prime here does not evaluate any of these things consistently, I've had to go fishing for his older videos on the UM790 (the 7940hs) and it seems to, in some cases, just smoke this "newer" setup. Cyberpunk, for example - non-OC'd he reported ~70 FPS in Cyberpunk on the 790 Pro at 900p, >80 FPS on the same system running at 85 watts, but this one only pulls ~60...man I wish some reviewer would put together a standard benchmarking methodology for these mini PC's...I'd do it myself if I had the time! (and more mini pc's....)
I think there have been updates to Cyberpunk and AMD GPU drivers that would improve gaming performance. I agree with the standardized testing for APU testing.
Seems this newer 8000 series isn't all the impressive compared to 7000 series. That was a pretty big jump between 5000 and 7000 and im still amazed at how well 7000 series handles games. Im not that impressed with this 8000 series for sure
I will say this is probably my favorite looking mini pc though..
These things look awesome and have great apu cooling but the memory and nvme are kind of on their own with no active cooling from previous versions, since he didn't show the insides. And believe me, it's needed on these!
@@Rexolaboy I just grabbed Cyberpunk because he, so far, has had it as a benchmark for all of these recently. The older benchmarks would be using older drivers and less optimized Cyberpunk and are STILL on par with this refresh, though. I'd bet the mem and nvme are getting warm and may be throttling a little....
In conclussion? how much better is it in gaming when compared to 7840HS with 780M? 5%?10%?20%?
Dang it, This is going to force me to get one. I absolutely have been loving my GTR7 Pro for the past year. The 7940HS w/64GB and 4TB is incredible, but why have 2 monitors when 2 mini high powered PCs connected seamlessly with synergy3 will do even more! Now to compare the 7940HS with the 8845HS. Now if this only had a fingerprint reader like the Beelink GTR7 Pro. and they got the linux support for the finger print reader.
It's bigger than expected. I was going to go for their GEM10 that has 3 M2 slots inside, but then I got side-tracked by my acquisition of a Samsung Tab S9 ultra which is a fun machine for retrogames, media consumption and can some work stuff done.
I would love to know what is your personal setup and daily tech!
Great Video. I have something in my mind. Please test how loud these PCs are.
We really want you to take it apart ❤
Yes please take it apart. I want to see the guts primarily to see if a super slim 120mm fan is possible to install for RAM & nvme but also if there's any header to be purposed for this.
Would be really cool to see how these computers can handle video encoding. Something like this could be perfect as a secondary dedicated streaming PC
Pretty impressive! We managed to get a 4060 into a 3.18 Litre case though after a lot of hard work, we'r working on fitting a 4070 into it currently :D
Is that memory dual channel? that's pretty important to mention for a computer with an iGPU.
Would you add some charts on comparing with 7840u plz?
CPU & GPU wise, they are almost identical. The only difference is AI.
Good to see power consumption back in your reviews.
Ok, I'm saddened they decided to go with the HS-variant rather than HX, but DAMN only for $488* (typo mistake before).
This thing is cheaper than my SER5 (5560H version) miniPC I use for basic editing. Need to buy this to replace it. I need this
iGPU since the Vega iGPU is showing it's age.
Do a vid on how this runs Tekken 8. Also which mini Pc would be best for playing T8 on high to med setting @1080p
Can you run the LukeFZ FSR2FSR3 Frame Generation Mod on Cyberounk 2077 with this mini pc? Would help a lot before buying it
Hi i really enjoy your videos, but I would like to request you bench arma 3, project zomboid and Skyrim on a mini PC as I’m looking to acquire one for a discrete setup at my partner’s house, keep up the good work 👍🏻
Is the fan always on, or does it stop when the computer is idle?
Looks nice
I'd love to see PS3 and Switch on this. I want to do a Big Box or Batocera build. Would this be better than the Beelink ser6 max?
Would this be VR ready?
WTF ! This is soo awesome🎉 😂🎉 I really am loving the tech..
Mini pc
Handheld gaming (SeamDeck)
Cloud Gaming
Glasses that turn you living room into a theater.. ❤
would love to see this run an eGPU & give us the look at its insides.
Whats the keyboard from the thumbnail?
For Shopee user, the other name for this Mini Pc is SZBOX, I dont know if it is the same one or just different brand logo with same device
This Mini PC can multitask like OBS Record with live streaming plus Gaming with high settings?
This is cool I want one 🔥
Can't wait for the future of APUs
doesn't the driver lever rsr work for games without fsr?
Thanks @ETaPrime can you share the direct link to this mini PC?
What do you do with your builds after. You must have a museum by now.
if you do these miniPCs it would be helpfull to have stresstest data.. heat/noise
Quick question for US and Canadian citizens. Do you have to pay import taxes and customs fees when you order from AliExpress or similar websites? I reside in Germany and we need to pay import taxes of 19% plus a consumer tax and a customs fee which will be determined by the customs office for when I order something from outside of the European Union. So, an order from AliExpress might end up with an additional cost up to 40% in the worst case and around 30% in an ideal situation.
I've never had any additional fees added.
Thanks for the review. I'd like to see how Linux does on this platform. Thanks
Good day sir this mini pc can support external gpu?
how well will it play mmorpg, like Diablo, 4 Warcraft, and so on
New game developpers have got to start optimizing for these AMD iGPUs since they run all these mini PCs and the handhelds
iGPU's are always gonna be bandwidth starved as long as they're using regular DDR SDRAM. We can see the potential of APUs in consoles, when they're paired with GDDR memory, but that's less feasible for mini PC and laptop OEMs unfortunately. There's only so much game developers can do about it.
Would have been nice to see the temps, since these mini PCs get really hot
Hi eta.. good day.. i just want to ask.. if these unknown brand failed.. where do we go for support or service.. thanks..
Amazon enforces some level of basic services for returns etc and has a higher chance of getting a solution. If you're buying from aliexpress there's almost a zero chance of being happy with the outcome.
I'd like to see how well the higher end emulators on batocera run on this. Especially 360 stuff
So the 8xxx series only has more of those ai cores wrt the 7940. What specific benefit does this have for gaming/emu?
Almost nothing uses the AI cores at this time.
What does it look inside?? Only one M.2 slot?
Would it be possible to install Debian & run benchmarks?
Hi can we run XP & 7 on this SBC? Would this SBC be powerful enough for decent DOS emulation (Blood, DN3D, Shadow Warrior) and PS1 &2? Which is best for emulation - Windows / Linux / Android? Can Windows and Linux dual boot on this SBC? Do the manufacturer sell a case for this SBC?
I dont understand anything you said, but it can run anything
Would love to see if Linux (Fedora / Arch / Ubuntu) has full chipset driver support. Also Phoronix Test Suite scores perhaps.
Any overheating problem ?
means 8000series cpu setups are 4 x 7000 series DAMN in secret hidden power too
You know ETA PRIME chomping at the bit to get his hands on one of the rumored Strix Halo chips. 20 WGP RDNA 3.5 + 16c Zen 5 + 256-bit LPDDR5X? Yes please!
I think that is so cool. I’d rather spend money on a nice laptop if I want something smaller than a whole pc build.
Maybe you could convert a windows box to steam os and game testing with steam. All my game library is with ps and i want to build a different library with another choice. Thank you
getting this NUC is good alternative if you are after it its iGPU than the 8000g desktop series with absurd pricing.
What would run a emulator with marvel vs Capcom 2 at high level with no issues on frame drops?
how does it emu? its smaller than my 4x2.5 raid drive.
I bought a 7840hs at the beginning of Feb. Still waiting on my RAM from Newegg due to "damaged in shipping" issue. Meanwhile, my new little pc has been surpassed 3 times over by the next best one...
Work in 220v? or another voltage
3:30 What ticks me off about the 8000 series is that AMD has ALREADY broken their naming scheme.
AMD said the first number is the year, and the following numbers represent the tier and features and then the letters at the end are the wattage class.
In other words, the 8845HS should have been a lower powered version of the 7845HX, so basically a 7700X clocked to 35W instead of 55w, but the 8845HS is actually a 7840HS. Which IMO is a good thing for this form factor, just sad its not called a 8840HS and the AMD naming scheme means nothing already.
I think AMD painted themselves into a corner by limiting the last number to being either a 0 or 5.
Imagine if it was 1,3,5,7,9
Then you could have a vast array of products while still having clear naming, including using Zen-C cores extra PCIe lanes, or 3D stacking
Can it run lumion and sketch up , they are architecture software for design n rendering
I just hope this could overclock at 7500mhz ram at the cpu like the other older series you had. This could save lives😂
Please make a video of top mini pc of the first half 2024.
Most every non-Chinese made mini PC will have the Windows key built into bios and the Windows install will find the number and any matching install will be activated instant for the life of the machine. Chinese manufacturers save that cost and pass it on to you. You will have to keep records of the key you have to purchase if you ever do a re-install from USB. You should decide if buying these keys from soviet block countries and sending them your cash is worth it to you.
The Soviet has been nonexistent since like 1990 I think.. 🤔
@@deadby15 Most people can figure out what I meant but for you I’ll explain. These countries were in the Soviet user when it existed. Their Soviet upbringing has made them depend on graft, payoffs and a disregard for laws,
windows has become just another data collection software they don't even care whether you pay for windows or why do you think it is you can use a key all the way back from windows 7 and 8 to register windows 11? Basically everyone has a load of windows keys at this point and MS straight up hands out free keys to every kid in school and students. Even if you don't activate Windows at all they let you use it without any restrictions beside a small watermark on your screen and the inability to change the desktop background easily.
I don't think you are quite up to date on how this works, if you reinstall a computer these days windows (Microsoft) will check the computer and see if it has been previously been installed and will quietly just activate windows without you needing to manually enter the key. This obviously only works if you log in with your Microsoft account, but that is what most people do - I fully expect you aren't one of them.
Is this a plastic case or aluminum case?
Would like to see this with a 3070 super ti connected via internal m.2
can you include dota 2 in your game test?
What keyboard is in the thumbnail
That is indeed one of the best ryzen 8000 mini pcs 😮
Cause this is one of the two ryzen 8000 currently available, right? 😊
This is cool 👍
I’m wondering how this would run “steamOS” if you could try it that would be amazing
Is this even out yet? I can't find it anywhere.
Can you test Android operating system and Android games as well.
Can you please start including gameplay of Apex & Overwatch in your reviews please?
For some reason, having wifi and running all your devices is an upgrade, from three atari games on atari.
The mini forums HX100G or this one? ;)
These are just spilling of the press. Which is great we will see drastic price drops soon.
AMD need to make dual iGPU edition with advanced media engine similar to apple. 🎉🎉
can this APU run Elite dangerous or No Mans Sky?
Nice.
I just want to know a good mini pc to get work done lol Microsoft excel etc and some light pc gaming like Elden ring by light I mean I’ll barely play it I just have the game and my brother wants me to play with him. Price doesn’t matter so please give me a good pick good sir !
Its this, sir. Where mini PC's that someone wants some gaming is desired. Any more desire to play games, you'd want a dedicated GPU, keep in mind that laptop variants are about 20% weaker than desktop, but dedicated GPU's draw much more power $$.
8840HS vs 7840HS, there are quite the same with tiny advantage to the older version. so why should I buy the new one?
You shouldn’t?
What can't do 4k 60 playback at this point?
I would love to see the one with the clear top.
Go AMD!
I wish mini pc like this able to change the CPU.
I would love to see it run a steam deck like linux version, that could be very awsome.
