It isn't a Universal Orlando Resort Hotel... but I would really recommend giving Silver Lake Resort a chance and review. It's a beautiful place, and has become my wife and I's favorite place to stay. But if it has to be an on property or Universal Owned Hotel... I wanna see more about the Hard Rock hotel.
I stayed at Cabana Bay last year. I wanted to do the pool on my last day, but didn't want to get on the plane without showering, etc. The helpful guys at luggage services encouraged me to use the fitness center. I packed a day bag and put it up in the fitness center (free lockers that have combination locks). When I was done at the pool, I took a shower, dressed, fixed my hair, etc. Then I picked up my luggage and went to the airport. The locker room had great shower and dressing facilities with shampoo, soap, towels and hair dryers. It was a great convenience and such a nice way to end my vacation.

You should audition for a few local modeling or acting gigs. You definitely have the talent to do commercials. Charlie Chang(finance guy) mentioned his modeling gigs, so clearly it's just a matter of putting your hat in the ring.
When we went to cabana Bay we got off the bus at sapphire falls and took the water taxi over to the parks. On the way back we did the water taxi back but then walked across the street back to our hotel. We love cabana Bay!
Yalls tip about checking to see if the hotel prices went down and rebooking to save money has saved me hundreds of dollars! By far the best tip I've heard in the past 8 years of watching Universal vids
Love the retro motel vs hotel feel. We stayed at adventura recently and had zero complaints. For me, it’s mostly about walking to the parks, which I did probably 15 times in 6 days. Also everyone should know that if you stay at any of Universal S hotels, you can get a pass to swim in any of the pools. That was easy too.
Excellent video but you didn’t mention one of the best parts! I tell everyone you can walk across the street from cabana bay to Sapphire Falls and go out back and take the water shuttle. We did that most of the time. The regular bus shuttle is just like the ones at dockside/Surfside, etc. but we enjoyed walking across the street and outback of Sapphire Falls and taking the shuttles. You bypass all of CityWalk. But yeah, cabana Bay is great for kids, one side has the big pool with slide, and the other side has the big pool with the lazy river, and if you purchase a float for the lazy river, they’ll give you one already blown up, and after you are done swimming, you return it and they give you a brand new one in the package to take home so it fits in your suitcase. It’s awesome. Plus they have a frozen yogurt making machine which is great.
Also, I thought the beds were super comfortable! I had a Volcano tower room and the view was tremendous! It is a bit of a walk though to get from the lobby to the tower, but I got used to it once Iearned my way. And you can ways walk through the garden path that goes alongside the pool. It's a nice walk that way. One last comment, they turn on pool music about 8am every morning. It's subtle when you're up in the room, but still noticeable if you're trying to sleep in.
My fav universal hotel! The smell when you first walk in is so good, I live in Scotland and I’d do ANYTHING to go back and smell it again 😢 it’s been 3 months 😂
Clicked on this asap! I love Cabana Bay Bay! Very family friendly. The walking path is awesome. Learned a lot while watching the retro commercials at the Bay Liner diner. Who knew Tupperware was around back then? Woody Woodpecker was in the Rice Krispies commercials before the elves. Did you get a milkshake at the new place? It was still under construction in November when I was there. 😊😊

My husband and I stayed at cabana bay during HHN in September and had a great time. I love the room that was the HHN room in cabana bay. My husband is a big exercise enthusiast, and he was quite impressed with the Jack LaLanne fitness room and had to exercise there at least one time, of course!

I'm pretty sure y'all were there when I was there! Cabana Bay is one of my favorite Universal hotels. There's so much to do, the pools are great, the lazy river is super fun, the food is pretty good (I had churrasco last week and it was delicious) you can go bowling (!!!), it's close to the parks, and if you're feeling risky, you can cross the street and take a water taxi from Sapphire Falls without paying the Sapphire Falls price (same with Aventura). Unfortunately, it's a freakin' huge resort, so that can make it hard getting back to your room after a long day at the parks, but the aesthetic and the vibes totally make it worth it for me. Plus, if you have boomer family members, the 60's theme will absolutely win them over (my mom approves).
Cabana Bay has always been a huge favorite or mine! I think for HHN they do keep food open but only pizza which I think their pizza is some of the best, great video guys!
LOVE CB! I've stayed here twice, and at Hard Rock once. We prefer CB (especially if you don't need express passes). Last week of Jan this year my daughter and I stayed at CB and hit the parks mid-week. It was lovely. She loved the theming, the food, everything about the resort. We had a suite up on the 3rd floor facing the pool, right near the walking path to the parks. Perfect. The walk wasn't bad - we walked TO, and bussed back. It takes the same amount of time, just saves your legs after 25K steps! Great review.
It’s such a great hotel, honestly! We’re partial to the HR because we got married there, but it’s a really great option at an affordable price. Glad you enjoyed it!!

We just stayed at Cabana Bay in early February. Our young kids, ages 8, 6, and 2 LOVED it. They were obsessed with the pool, and the lazy river. ALSO, the cafeteria has the BEST pizza. My husband would buy an entire pizza each night for dinner - it was delicious!
We just got back this past weekend from a week long stay at CB and loved it! Even though it was just my wife and I, the Family Suite was perfect for us. Totally agree that Bayliner Diner is very underrated

That's where we stayed when we were there in November. We ate at the Diner a few times. Their dinner specials were good too. Bummed we weren't able to bowl, while we were there. Tip: call in the morning every day your staying if wanting to bowl. We had a microwave and didn't request it with our standard pool view room.

We love Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The prices have really started going up quite a bit unfortunately but it's still a great hotel. We love the aesthetics, the rooms are nice, they have a lot of food options including out by the pool area and the pool is incredible. The fact that they have a beach area and lazy river is next level for us. There's really nothing about Cabana Bay that we don't like. Amazing review.
Sadly, I think SOME of the price increases can be blamed on Disney. Let me explain: Disney has really angered a lot of longtime customers with their mismanagement and that's putting it VERY lightly. They have grossly miscalculated changes in the market and how visitors to Orlando perceive not only Universal but all theme parks, including Disney, Legoland, Sea World, Busch Gardens, etc. The neglect is showing in the parks. Guests are complaining that not only is maintenance looking shoddy but food prices have gone up along with prices on well, everrryyyythiiing else. Well, now that everyone has flocked to their worst enemy Universal, the bean counters over there don't have to worry too much about pricing since they know that the Mickey Mafia are imploding. They are no longer as generous with discounts or sales prices as they used to because the crowds seem to be getting a bit bigger every year. I hope that the opening of Epic Universal helps bring prices down as there will be hotels onsite there. Unfortunately, it might not open for another two years. I fully intend to be there on the first year of operation. I have never in my life been to a brand new theme park so if I can get there, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
@@largol33t1 I completely agree. We were Disney enthusiasts and I'd have to say we still are but the mismanagement and price hikes pushed us away. We spend a ton of time at Universal now and a little at Disney World. Greed got the better of Disney and Universal was wise to take advantage of Disney's stupidity. Smart move on the part of Universal but now those prices are quite a bit higher. Supply and demand I guess. Epic Universe will be amazing and I'm hoping it thins the crowds a bit from the parks.
Cabana bay was so much fun when I went with my son and my late husband a few years back-Tom and I stayed at Adventura in Jan. Not nearly as “family friendly” but the staff was amazing and the views for a king size room on the 12th floor was worth ECERY PENNY!
When looking at hotels I always pass this one, thanks I didn’t know how nice it is! Gotta try it! Anna looks like she dressed for the hotel theme! She is on point!

THE BEST place in Orlando. At least for us. It fits a family of 5 perfectly. Buses to parks are fast. A walk to Volcano Bay. Jack Lalanne Workout Gym. Lazy River. And then the vibe...so so cool.
When I go down, I usually stay off property. I usually stay on the iDrive. But if I would stay on property, I would probably stay there. Too bad the price went up and used to be a little cheaper. Great video guys and I hope you had a blast!

This place looks great. We always stay at the Surfside for the awesome 2 bedroom rooms. They are amazing for families. Seriously, more onsite hotels should do this room type! We will have to try checking out the Cabana Bay though, love the theming and the bowling looks fun too.
I *think* Cabana Bay has the same style family suites! I’m not 100% on that, but I feel like that’s right lol. We love the endless summer hotels, though!!
The moment Tyler spanked the bed 😂😂😂 I cried laughing! We loved Cabana Bay when we stayed there. The only con I had was that when staying in the towers you have to walk a mile to get fountain sodas with the refill mugs. They need soda refill stations in the towers. That was my only complaint. ♥️

I love Cabana Bay! I took my Mom and Dad there and my Mom was so excited - I can remember her exercising with Jack when I was little so that was so cool. Also, two weeks ago we got to come for a two night stay (yes, I got one day at the park, I really needed it). Got to stay at Sapphire Falls (Dream come true). However, we walked over to Cabana Bay to eat better and lower priced food. I love their food!! Yes, we do the holding bed. LOL So agree, the kids at the resort can get to be to much sometimes. But still love it!
Cabana Bay is my absolute favorite resort! It's amazing. Having a Starbucks in your hotel is also outstanding. P. S. Love the new malt shop. Their ice cream is awesome.

We use the second bed as an eating bed! Lol so if we get food from the hotel, we eat on one bed and we sleep on the other, and stealing the pillows of course!
I wanted to add, that on our checkout day, we left our luggage with the luggage services, and didn't return until approx 11PM before heading to the airport. It was super handy!!!

That’s interesting about the music! We’re usually so tired when we’re at the parks we sleep like bricks lol. We could see that being annoying though!

We just stayed at Cabana Bay in early February. Our young kids, ages 8, 6, and 2 LOVED it. They were obsessed with the pool, and the lazy river. ALSO, the cafeteria has the BEST pizza. My husband would buy an entire pizza each night for dinner - it was delicious!
I don’t think we’ve ever tried their pizza, but now I want to!! Lol

We just got back this past weekend from a week long stay at CB and loved it! Even though it was just my wife and I, the Family Suite was perfect for us. Totally agree that Bayliner Diner is very underrated
We love it!! Tyler and I have definitely gotten a family suite before just for the extra room and microwave lol they’re so affordable!
Who beat down who at bowling? Anna, I about hit the floor laughing when you said “”you win” during race to the room door. 😂😂😂 That was so smart! My husband and I always use the second bed as an item collector. Nice to know we aren’t weird. 🤪
Lol not me (Anna). I’m TERRIBLE at bowling. It’s a good throw if I just keep it in the right lane tbh 😂 I was absolutely not running a single step either 🤣

That's where we stayed when we were there in November. We ate at the Diner a few times. Their dinner specials were good too. Bummed we weren't able to bowl, while we were there. Tip: call in the morning every day your staying if wanting to bowl. We had a microwave and didn't request it with our standard pool view room.
That’s a great tip for getting a bowling reservation! I’m not sure we knew they had dinner specials either. How convenient!
I stay at cabana bay every time. Love the volcano bay access, pools massive variety of food and the bowling alley!

We love Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The prices have really started going up quite a bit unfortunately but it's still a great hotel. We love the aesthetics, the rooms are nice, they have a lot of food options including out by the pool area and the pool is incredible. The fact that they have a beach area and lazy river is next level for us. There's really nothing about Cabana Bay that we don't like. Amazing review.
Sadly, I think SOME of the price increases can be blamed on Disney. Let me explain: Disney has really angered a lot of longtime customers with their mismanagement and that's putting it VERY lightly. They have grossly miscalculated changes in the market and how visitors to Orlando perceive not only Universal but all theme parks, including Disney, Legoland, Sea World, Busch Gardens, etc. The neglect is showing in the parks. Guests are complaining that not only is maintenance looking shoddy but food prices have gone up along with prices on well, everrryyyythiiing else. Well, now that everyone has flocked to their worst enemy Universal, the bean counters over there don't have to worry too much about pricing since they know that the Mickey Mafia are imploding. They are no longer as generous with discounts or sales prices as they used to because the crowds seem to be getting a bit bigger every year. I hope that the opening of Epic Universal helps bring prices down as there will be hotels onsite there. Unfortunately, it might not open for another two years. I fully intend to be there on the first year of operation. I have never in my life been to a brand new theme park so if I can get there, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
@@largol33t1 I completely agree. We were Disney enthusiasts and I'd have to say we still are but the mismanagement and price hikes pushed us away. We spend a ton of time at Universal now and a little at Disney World. Greed got the better of Disney and Universal was wise to take advantage of Disney's stupidity. Smart move on the part of Universal but now those prices are quite a bit higher. Supply and demand I guess. Epic Universe will be amazing and I'm hoping it thins the crowds a bit from the parks.

Cabana bay was so much fun when I went with my son and my late husband a few years back-Tom and I stayed at Adventura in Jan. Not nearly as “family friendly” but the staff was amazing and the views for a king size room on the 12th floor was worth ECERY PENNY!
We love adventura! Definitely less of a family atmosphere, though lol

Cabana bay is my favorite, universal hotel. I’ve been there twice so far and will always go there.

One room detail I've seen for Universal hotels I thought was cool is the line in the shower to hang your swimsuits.

THE BEST place in Orlando. At least for us. It fits a family of 5 perfectly. Buses to parks are fast. A walk to Volcano Bay. Jack Lalanne Workout Gym. Lazy River. And then the vibe...so so cool.

This place looks great. We always stay at the Surfside for the awesome 2 bedroom rooms. They are amazing for families. Seriously, more onsite hotels should do this room type!
We will have to try checking out the Cabana Bay though, love the theming and the bowling looks fun too.
I *think* Cabana Bay has the same style family suites! I’m not 100% on that, but I feel like that’s right lol. We love the endless summer hotels, though!!

The moment Tyler spanked the bed 😂😂😂 I cried laughing! We loved Cabana Bay when we stayed there. The only con I had was that when staying in the towers you have to walk a mile to get fountain sodas with the refill mugs. They need soda refill stations in the towers. That was my only complaint. ♥️

Hi,I would have to agree, I just stayed there for ten days at the beginning of February,I enjoyed it a lot, the foods good, the malt shop is so yummy the pb&j shake oh my yes, the pool with the slide was closed down for repairs, but other than that it was great 😀❤️

I love Cabana Bay! I took my Mom and Dad there and my Mom was so excited - I can remember her exercising with Jack when I was little so that was so cool. Also, two weeks ago we got to come for a two night stay (yes, I got one day at the park, I really needed it). Got to stay at Sapphire Falls (Dream come true). However, we walked over to Cabana Bay to eat better and lower priced food. I love their food!! Yes, we do the holding bed. LOL So agree, the kids at the resort can get to be to much sometimes. But still love it!
Cabana Bay is my absolute favorite resort! It's amazing. Having a Starbucks in your hotel is also outstanding.
P. S. Love the new malt shop. Their ice cream is awesome.

We use the second bed as an eating bed! Lol so if we get food from the hotel, we eat on one bed and we sleep on the other, and stealing the pillows of course!

I wanted to add, that on our checkout day, we left our luggage with the luggage services, and didn't return until approx 11PM before heading to the airport. It was super handy!!!
