FUN FACT: On this day, March 20th, of last year we checked into the Hard Rock Hotel for the first time ever!! So funny y'all posted this today!! We've stayed there one other time since. But also tried Portifino and when booking most recently, Portifino was cheaper than HRH! And yes, the second Queen is a catch all bed for luggage, clothes and whatever!! 💜💚
The Graceland suite is incredible! Had the good fortune of being upgraded to it once a few years ago. The bath in the window, which you access through the shower, is kind of weird but what a view!
The Hard Rock Hotel is our favourite, it is gorgeous. We stayed 17 nights last year and will be back this September for 14 nights. We managed to get a look through the Graceland Suite, it is lush and hope you guys get to stay there at some point. HRH definitely has the best vibe. 👌
We absolutely use the second Queen as the storage bed! It’s the catch-all or the east way to spread everything out. Hard Rock is out of our budget but this was a great video!

Stayed here during COVID in August 2020, it was awesome ..... and quiet. I like Cabana Bay better but this is awesome for the distance to the parks and the Express Pass upgrade. Also love the full length mirror in the room with all the Rock Stars' heights! And YES, always prefer 2Q beds over 1K - as the extra bed is "the staging area"!! Great review!
The Hard Rock is our new favorite premium hotel with Royal a close second. We stayed in a deluxe 2 queen room last month and were blown away by the available floorspace it had. It was cheaper than Royal for the same days. I don't know how that happened, but I ain't complaining. Cabana is still our go to if express passes aren't needed. Nice review!
We feel very much the same about Royal Pacific. The pool is great, the beds are super comfortable, and the walk to the park is longer, but it is fantastic! We feel it is worth the money, and greatly.enhances our Universal experience. Great video Pugh Two!!
We’ve stayed at Royal Pacific twice and loved it. But, last visit, we checked out Hard Rock and Portofino. We loved Hard Rock and can’t wait to stay there this fall! The kids love the room key/express pass with their name on it. They feel so special that they have their own key. 😁
Thanks for a great review! We've stayed at the Hard Rock once, February of last year for our family trip. Our last couples trip in December was at Royal Pacific, BUT we are staying in a 3 bedroom suite in June, as we've convinced my family to come spend a week with us at our favorite place on the planet! Hard Rock is awesome being so close to Studios and the rock and roll theme hits hard with our oldest, who is really into his guitars. RP has become our favorite anniversary hotel though, the laid back atmosphere and to be 100% honest, the lobby scent does it for us!

I’ve never been any of the top three hotels, but I love watching videos of them. They all look so awesome including this one where you had your honeymoon! I don’t stay in the hotels very long ….they are just a place for me to sleep shower and get ready for the parks. So for me personally, I can’t see spending this amount of money. I go cheaper…I still love the Cabana Bay and Aventura hotels as my picks. Even though they don’t have the express passes, I usually stay at a slower time of year, so I don’t usually need those passes, but I always have a great time either way. The pillows are Phoenix Down (if I remember correctly). When we stayed at Hard Rock, we used their texting service to ask. They are definitely on our list to purchase in the future.

Another great video! Here I thought I knew it all (ha!), but I had no idea about the guitar pick souvenir. I play some guitar, so I'm definitely doing this next time we stay at Hard Rock. I just want to add two quick points that many of us know, but there's always new folks that could use the info. The included express passes are also valid the entire day of checkout. So as you said, if you have a late departure, you can still go to the parks, but you can still use the express passes until the parks close (this is true for Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, and Portofino Bay). Second, if you check-in before your room is ready, and you use the luggage services, which is a great thing, and you have a medication that needs refrigeration, just let them know and they will keep your medication refrigerated until you take your luggage to your room (it is my understanding that this should apply to all USO hotels). Rock on!
So far, we have only stayed at the Royal Pacific hotel. It has been the cheapest of the three premier hotels, but we are hoping to stay at the Hard Rock eventually. The express pass and water taxi make it worth the cost for us.

Our favorite place to stay at Disney is Pop Century because it was the first place we stayed at when we took our girls for the one and only time we were going to go . Joke was on us no one treats the disabled better and we have been there ten times in eighteen years,we live in Pennsylvania not real close. When we go to Universal we think Endless Summer is where we will stay because we are never in the room. Love watching you two so much fun 🎉

I don't play guitar either but that didn't stop me from having one sent to my room and noodling around on it the one time I stayed at Hard Rock. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to afford it again any time soon, so I tried to do everything they have to offer (which is a lot!). It's a really fun hotel.
I still prefer Cabana Bay over any on-site resort. The vibe is amazing and the theming does it for me. I like hard Rock, specifically the distance to the parks obviously, but it feels slightly sterile to me. Ive only stayed at Portofino on one visit but I was not digging it, very unpopular opinion I know. Royal Pacific is my favorite Express pass property by a mile. LOVE IT! I had a room at the hard rock once that was right beside the stairs that went down to the dock/delivery area, we walked right out of there and through the employee parking lot and was at security. SO badass!
If I ever get to go to Universal again, I’m staying here. Love this hotel. Once again your hotel review was great fun. And yes, one bed is for sleeping, the other is for piling my stuff on 😊
I’m so happy to see the Hard Rock hotel because I its unlikely I’ll stay there because I choose to spend my money elsewhere. But it’s cool to see it and hear about your wedding! My go tos are Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls. So I used to love getting king rooms until I realized how great it was to have a luggage bed! Now I always get two queens.
Those are great hotels too!! We stay at the HR for two reasons: express and how close it is to the parks! Lol if you can ever find a great deal on a room there, it’s worth it!!
Yes! Thank you! You answered a much needed question I’ve had, where can u go to clean up after using the pool/hot tub on day of check out! Thank you I needed this, Hard Rock is my fave too. They treated us like royalty when we were just there a couple weeks ago for my sons birthday. They even treated us to an breakfast at the Kitchen, and 🤤. Staff remembered me from checking it out in hopes of grabbing a good rate (at first the rate was LOUsY, but I caught great rates eventually and booked club level!)

Will be there staying for 4 nights during HHN! Our family has stayed at all of the Universal Hotels and when it comes to HHN specifically, its the best because its a short walk around the corner!! Not even worse waiting on the boat!!
I can’t wait to stay at Hard Rock again when the water taxis are running lol unlike our last visit. LOVED the Blue Suede Shoes drink at the pool bar with awesome souvenir cups!!!!!
Great timing !! We’re going to stay a night at Hard Rock for the first time ever ! Passholder rate for mid April was too good to pass up. We’re afraid we’ll be so spoiled by the short walk we won’t want to stay over at Dockside/Surfside anymore. Can’t wait to get down there and check it out.
I love the Hard Rock Hotel but the premier hotel prices have risen dramatically lately,despite giving excellent services and amenities I would only consider staying here if there were 3 or 4 guests in occupancy in the due to the included express pass,which would make it worthwhile.Thank you for the tour and info❤️
Completely agree. Price wise it’s only worth it if you have 4 or more in the room. I still love HR over the other 2 premier hotels. Due to pool, distances, and theming.
Prices have definitely increased since the reopening. However , you really can find good rates if you have an annual pass and are flexible with your dates. Especially at Portofino because they have so many rooms.

I love the pillows too! I ended up calling and asking Universal, I think guest services. They gave me the name and I can’t remember it- smaller company. The pillows are not cheap, but I ordered a bunch for my house and no regrets.
I work at a hotel and I've always wondered why some guests would get a room with 2 beds and only sleep in one... perhaps this "Use one for luggage and one sleeping" idea would explain that! 😂

You can always ask what brand pillow they use. You can pay to have a microwave if they have any available OR you can go to the first place you mentioned for food...the snack shack place and use the microwaves there for free from my understanding.
We didn’t know about using their microwaves! That’s a nice little hack! I’ve looked up the brand before, and I think it’s just a hospitality company that only sells to hotel, unfortunately.
Agree this is our fav hotel!! Love the breakfast at the kitchen. We also do 2 beds, we use 1 as a bed to come back to the room and relax when we’re sweaty and gross 😂

@@ThePughTwo it is all about demand and to be honest, I expected that demand would have fallen off by now, but maybe a lot of people bought APs and want to get the most out them. I know a lot of people gave up their Disney APs and purchase Universal. But it could also be that people want them with the coming of Epic Universe. It will be interesting to see how things play out with the economy this summer.
I ordered annual passes for the first time this year and I’m wonder when they become active? Like are they active when I pick them up or when I use it for entry?

Hard Rock, unlimited express passes, and everything that goes with it. Now my wife is spoiled and always want express passes, so it looks like we’re going to be checking out Portofino Bay if we do the trip. My little Cabana Bay trip went from $2200 to $3700. 😵
I love this hotel. My wife and I stayed in it about 2 months ago. We ate at the Kitchen and really enjoyed it. I think they have the best wings and brussel sprouts in property. I really want to book it again and take our 2 girls. They love the pool and I know my oldest will really enjoy the slide. Next you should review Aventura or Sapphire Falls.
Hard rock is my fav because of location but I have an upcoming trip and I've booked Portifino Bay. I've never stayed there so I'm anxious to check it out. It was acutally cheaper than the hard rock!! So I had to give it a try. I also booked it for HHN at $330 a night. HRH was more than double!!

I stayed at the Dockside hotel at Endless Summer Resorts. My sister and her husband did that junk bed thing, and I had a room to myself also. However, I had an air vent blowing on me all night! I had to double the blankets and use my hoodie, and beanie😮
It's kinda weird of me, but I'd be scared of picking up bedbugs from leaving my suitcases on the "spare" bed. I do look beforehand. They are super hard to get rid of.
I have read that you can also rent a record player which I def want to try on my next stay! (Er, my first stay. I've only ever done Portofino before lol.)
We 100 percent use that second bed as storage! The belly button peep hole is for humans like me, Tyler! My favorite part was Anna going under the water after the slide and her feeties just popping up😂😂😂

Our favorite place to stay at Disney is Pop Century because it was the first place we stayed at when we took our girls for the one and only time we were going to go . Joke was on us no one treats the disabled better and we have been there ten times in eighteen years,we live in Pennsylvania not real close. When we go to Universal we think Endless Summer is where we will stay because we are never in the room. Love watching you two so much fun 🎉

I don't play guitar either but that didn't stop me from having one sent to my room and noodling around on it the one time I stayed at Hard Rock. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to afford it again any time soon, so I tried to do everything they have to offer (which is a lot!). It's a really fun hotel.

I still prefer Cabana Bay over any on-site resort. The vibe is amazing and the theming does it for me. I like hard Rock, specifically the distance to the parks obviously, but it feels slightly sterile to me. Ive only stayed at Portofino on one visit but I was not digging it, very unpopular opinion I know. Royal Pacific is my favorite Express pass property by a mile. LOVE IT! I had a room at the hard rock once that was right beside the stairs that went down to the dock/delivery area, we walked right out of there and through the employee parking lot and was at security. SO badass!

I’m so happy to see the Hard Rock hotel because I its unlikely I’ll stay there because I choose to spend my money elsewhere. But it’s cool to see it and hear about your wedding! My go tos are Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls. So I used to love getting king rooms until I realized how great it was to have a luggage bed! Now I always get two queens.
Those are great hotels too!! We stay at the HR for two reasons: express and how close it is to the parks! Lol if you can ever find a great deal on a room there, it’s worth it!!
Yes! Thank you! You answered a much needed question I’ve had, where can u go to clean up after using the pool/hot tub on day of check out! Thank you I needed this, Hard Rock is my fave too. They treated us like royalty when we were just there a couple weeks ago for my sons birthday. They even treated us to an breakfast at the Kitchen, and 🤤. Staff remembered me from checking it out in hopes of grabbing a good rate (at first the rate was LOUsY, but I caught great rates eventually and booked club level!)
All the hotels will let you do that, too! Not just HR! That’s amazing! We’re so glad you had such an amazing stay. And happy belated birthday to your son!!

Will be there staying for 4 nights during HHN! Our family has stayed at all of the Universal Hotels and when it comes to HHN specifically, its the best because its a short walk around the corner!! Not even worse waiting on the boat!!
We LOVE staying here during HHN. It’s literally quicker than walking to the boats 😂 it’s the best.

I love the Hard Rock Hotel but the premier hotel prices have risen dramatically lately,despite giving excellent services and amenities I would only consider staying here if there were 3 or 4 guests in occupancy in the due to the included express pass,which would make it worthwhile.Thank you for the tour and info❤️
Completely agree. Price wise it’s only worth it if you have 4 or more in the room. I still love HR over the other 2 premier hotels. Due to pool, distances, and theming.
Prices have definitely increased since the reopening. However , you really can find good rates if you have an annual pass and are flexible with your dates. Especially at Portofino because they have so many rooms.

I love the pillows too! I ended up calling and asking Universal, I think guest services. They gave me the name and I can’t remember it- smaller company. The pillows are not cheap, but I ordered a bunch for my house and no regrets.

I work at a hotel and I've always wondered why some guests would get a room with 2 beds and only sleep in one... perhaps this "Use one for luggage and one sleeping" idea would explain that! 😂

You can always ask what brand pillow they use.
You can pay to have a microwave if they have any available OR you can go to the first place you mentioned for food...the snack shack place and use the microwaves there for free from my understanding.
We didn’t know about using their microwaves! That’s a nice little hack! I’ve looked up the brand before, and I think it’s just a hospitality company that only sells to hotel, unfortunately.
We always use the extra bed to store our things we get from the parks, also for our book bag.

Agree this is our fav hotel!! Love the breakfast at the kitchen. We also do 2 beds, we use 1 as a bed to come back to the room and relax when we’re sweaty and gross 😂

Hi Anna & Tyler! This a very complete review of the Hard Rock Hotel. Since this is your favorite hotel, I am a little surprised that you do not frequent The Hard Rock Cafe. If you like the memorabilia in the hotel, they have tons more in the Cafe. The Hard Rock is my favorite as well. Ken
We love it, but it’s gotten so expensive! Lol we love the cafe, too! We’ve eaten there a few times, but we’ve eaten at others too!
@@ThePughTwo it is all about demand and to be honest, I expected that demand would have fallen off by now, but maybe a lot of people bought APs and want to get the most out them. I know a lot of people gave up their Disney APs and purchase Universal. But it could also be that people want them with the coming of Epic Universe. It will be interesting to see how things play out with the economy this summer.
I ordered annual passes for the first time this year and I’m wonder when they become active? Like are they active when I pick them up or when I use it for entry?

@@ThePughTwo And no, I was talking about the current pricing. I was looking at booking a trip in October of this year, and the first time I took the fam I made a huge mistake. Hard Rock, unlimited express passes, and everything that goes with it. Now my wife is spoiled and always want express passes, so it looks like we’re going to be checking out Portofino Bay if we do the trip. My little Cabana Bay trip went from $2200 to $3700. 😵
I love this hotel. My wife and I stayed in it about 2 months ago. We ate at the Kitchen and really enjoyed it. I think they have the best wings and brussel sprouts in property. I really want to book it again and take our 2 girls. They love the pool and I know my oldest will really enjoy the slide. Next you should review Aventura or Sapphire Falls.

Hard rock is my fav because of location but I have an upcoming trip and I've booked Portifino Bay. I've never stayed there so I'm anxious to check it out. It was acutally cheaper than the hard rock!! So I had to give it a try. I also booked it for HHN at $330 a night. HRH was more than double!!

I stayed at the Dockside hotel at Endless Summer Resorts. My sister and her husband did that junk bed thing, and I had a room to myself also. However, I had an air vent blowing on me all night! I had to double the blankets and use my hoodie, and beanie😮
