    I subscribed to your channel today, I have almost the exact same car (the pre-facelift ‘03 c320 wagon) and there’s not many out there. I found your videos about the spark plugs and valve gaskets very insightful.

    This happened to me twice on my C320 4matic. The first time, the ac compressor pulley/clutch tore itself and the belt. It did it again a few weeks ago and I opted to change the AC compressor this time.
    I love the m112 and these issues are to be expected with the mileage.

    • @SiikPros

      Definitely better to just change the whole compressor and condenser bc there are shards of metal that can go into the AC system

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      Was looking into different options, replacing the compressor would be the best solution since it’s relatively inexpensive, my only confusion is that some people decided to replace just the compressor and not the condenser. Do you recommend doing both? thanks!

      You can flush the condenser, Think the last time I did AC work I was able to get the flush fluid from Auto Zone or O'reilly Auto parts and the air tool to hold the fluid I think I got at harbor freight.

    I, today, subscribed to your channel.. Looking at one of your old videos, I saw that one year ago, your rims looked a lot better that whats on now :) I know you wanted that particular look. But IMO, the ones that were on it prior looked better. All in all, glad I stopped by as I learned a lot on your channel. I own a 2004 C240, Have a LOT of work ahead of me as far as repair is concerned, only has 165K on it.

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      The previous rim set I had was the stock config and one of the rims was noticeably bent so I went to look for a couple of OEM+ styles and found these good condition set from a W210 for $150. I wanted to get a fresh set of tires on rims I can trust but I can somewhat agree with your statement. On the bright side, it's very easy to clean 5 spokes!

    I think my Crossfire has a seized compressor too. I don't know if it's the same part number since the steering system is different between the w203 and r170. It's making that noice on acceleration. Thank you for the video. You are probably going to save me a tow. I'm sorry that you had to go through that.

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      I feel like it would be identical since the crossfire is basically an slk.
      I definitely recommend getting a triple A towing membership for the long drives, I don’t think I could’ve avoided it regardless, I was just very lucky the belt didn’t destroy anything! Goodluck and thank you! Happy to help!

    Been there done that , just bypassed the a/c with a shorter belt . It will not harm the engine. Next Change your idler puller , alternator pulley and water pump. Also rember to change your power steering fluid. M112 are bullet proof if maintained properly .

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      recently have replaced almost everything at the front, a new pulley, tensioner, alternator, water pump, thermostat, and ex-new belt.
      I guess the only jobs I will be doing next are the power steering and a new AC compressor. Currently running the bypass belt! But holy moly I drove it today and could not pass up the heat even in fall lol.

      @@UrielArtsGarage honestly the crook was the return line underneath the car connecting to the rack theyre was a piece of plastic stuck in there somehow clogging the system. Do a flush before you try anything else and then fill it up and see if that works.

    All insurance companies offer towing only up to 15 miles. The reason is, it’s supposed o help you tow the vehicle to the nearest garage., not all the way to your house. I get it, its not ideal.

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      My mistake is that I got a bit too confident with my cars knowing they’re both at least over a decade old. Never would’ve thought an ac compressor can do something like this.

    Future plans or mods you plan on doing?

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      I'm pretty realistic with these types of questions so a future plan I would say would be new brakes, potentially swapping the worn-out suspension with sport suspensions and sport steering wheel from a sport package w203.
      Other than that, It's definitely mostly tackling neglected maintenance which can get costly. I've done most of the potential problems a few months back when it was summer.

    • @Someone12132

      Nice. I have a C240 sedan and definitely recommend swapping it with the sport suspension. Getting front springs and shocks from a C230 will definitely reduce that front wheel gap a lot while also keeping it at a decent ride height. What wheels do you got on it?

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      I got 215/55/16 from a w210 base model E-class! Would want to get 17s from the c230 but I recently bought a set of fresh Good Year tires for it so that will have to wait. This set up soakes up a lot of the bumpy roads so I'm not complaining a sport suspension will definetly be a plus! @@Someone12132

    Do you think it could be a permanent fix?as in would it be safe to just always keep ac bypassed and have no problems

    • @UrielArtsGarage

      No harm done with bypassing the ac compressor, the only downside is that you won’t have any ac and can easily fog the windows up if it rains etc. luckily It’s getting colder here where I live so I won’t have the problem of dealing with the heat for now.
