Israel is in asia, russia is in europe. Pure double standard when "Israel" is allowed to this stage, well done to the protesters.
Most of russia is in Asia
Europe is considered a continent by most people, but it’s neither a separate landmass, nor a separate geological unit. The only reason we say it’s a continent is because the Ancient Greeks divided the world around Greece as such.
And while yes, Africa is connected to Asia (ignoring Suez Canal), and the Americas are connected (ignoring Panama canal), their link is very narrow. Europe is connected to Asia through the entire North-South length of Russia.
So I’m convinced that Europe is not a continent, but a peninsula in Asia/Eurasia.
Some might argue that Europe is a continent because it’s culturally/geopolitically distinct. But I’d say that applies to many regions like the Indian subcontinent or the Middle East.
Edit: my point is that there is no non-arbitrary definition of continent that would apply to Europe. It’s not a separate landmass, or has its own tectonic plate, or the only culturally distinct region in its landmass.

Did she think she was going to “steal” the show with her performance? 🤔🥴
..."steal the show"
I see what you did there 😉
Or occupy the attention/crowd
That's right, she was going to pull an Israel.
She will play the holocaust card
She just did actually - qualified to the grand final and likely to be in top 10
And guess what? the main presenting sponsor, Moroccanoil is manufactured in Israel. This is probably why they have such an influence in the Eurovision contest. You couldn't make it up!

Boycott and Disrupt. The ESC is very important to the Israeli's feeling of being a western state. If they are globally shamed on this stage, they'll be shaken up.
Can’t be further from the truth. Jews do not get shaken up. They persevere.
@@yelenasandler2358They can persevere as much as they want but no one likes to be an outcast.
Not at all. They can survive without Eurovision.
They have been Outcasts in Europe since 2,000 years. They are tough cookies.
@@semsemeini7905It seems that it is not like that because there they are singing. It is too early to see the consequences of what is happening but everything comes, and the arrogance will end.
Shame on Europe and Eurovision.
She should get used to it…
Why though? She's not responsible for what's happening in Gaza right now. Unless just the fact that she happens to be from Israel is the issue here. If so, then there is a term for that, right?
@@marzipanmonkeyyes, it's called antizionis
Heavily disagree with the "don't show up" messaging. I think it's inspiring to see a huge crowd of people booing in solidarity against a genocidal nation. The fact that it wasn't organized makes it that much more impactful, because it shows how deep seated the movement is. Let's be honest, when a small group of organizers show up to an event to disrupt it, nobody actually cares and the focus turns on the protestors themselves. When it's organic and natural like the entire crowd reacting, it sends a stronger message.
Israel isn't genocidal. This is a war started by Hamas with the massacre on October 7th last year.
Isn't it strange that Hamas built countless miles of tunnels for their own protection, storage of Iranian missiles, weapons and supplies, hiding of hostages, BUT NO BOMB SHELTERS WERE BUILT FOR THEIR PEOPLE!
True
Why the hell is israel in the eurovision anyway? Is the middle east part of europe or what ?
Part of the European Broadcasting Union
part of balfour agreement
Israel is a European colony so makes sense
Israel can do what the hell they want apparently
Why the hell is Australia 🇦🇺 in the Eurovision anyway ? It’s over the side off the world 🌎.
It’s good that protestors are active on international events so then isrealis watching back at home realise what their country is doing will have an effect on their international standing and what the rest of the world community feels
Buuu, buuuu, hou can a genocidal country participate, must be forbidden. That's why I don't watch anymore that devils show.
The devils are Hamas. It demonstrates that in the Hamas Covenant 18th Aug 1988.

The Uk is not currently committing a genocide!!
@@NafisaD-vo3vz Yes it is. The Tories are killing thousands of poor, vulnerable, disabled, old & the sick by removing the money & public services they rely on to live! @@NafisaD-vo3vzIsrael isn't committing a genocide either. It's war.
Towards the end of WW2 when we were getting the better of Hitler's forces, the number of casualties suffered by Germany and its allies was much higher than those of Britain and its allies. Should we have stopped WW2 because of that statistic?
The nonsense that is being spouted about the Gazan conflict is ridiculous.
@@trishawilson1436 The numbers of Palestinians killed by Israel has been 10x that of Israelis for YEARS. Try again...
The hundredish people held without charge by hamas are hostages, but the thousands held by israel without charge are 'detainees'. Just like how the west and others views it's own lives as more valuable than those in other countries on the receiving end of it's bombs.

Spot on BOYCOTT!!!!!!!
Israel isn't in Europe. Why are they in Eurovision?
It's about "whiteness"
Israel is a European colony. That is why. Israel's participation is proof that Israeli's know this too.
You do not have to be a European country to enter Eurovision. Active members of the EBU and invited associate members are eligible to compete

Because they claim the whole planet not only Europe.

I laughed my ass off at that one...
I am boycotting Eurovision cos of genocidal participant state of Israel. Also the singer looking so smug during her interview, how can she act so proud knowing how much bloodbath they have committed in Gaza not just after 7th Oct but before too.
I appreciate that you want to indicate that lots of people have died and that you don't like Israel. However, calling it a genocide is false and weakens the word. Israel is not trying to wipe out an ethnic group.
