please take note that some GPU’s using a vapor chamber will overheat when in this orientation, I had to swap my pc from the tower 100 to a NZXT 210i because my AMD RX6800 went above 100C when in the vertical configuration, no problems whatsoever when its horizontal in the mini tower
@@FastSloth87 That orientation does not seem to be a problem, because if it was we would have definitely heard by now since that is almost the default position of GPU’s in testbenches. then most gpu testing youtubers would have trouble. it seems to be the position with connetors up specifically that has issues
@@JohnDoe-hw8ge I'm surprised nobody has done A:B testing with vapor chamber orientation. It'd make sense that it's problematic due to the simple fact of flow direction of evaporation and wicking. If a GPU is designed to lay flat, rotating it vertical in either direction should have an impact on performance. I think the hanging orientation has more impact simply due to how coolers are arranged, more directional surface area to travel with suboptimal wicking, essentially resulting in pooling at one extreme of the cooler that likely sees less heat load; whereas the typical 'vertical' mount has much less directional surface area to travel and hence the pooling issue is much less noticeable. This should also effect heat pipes on the same basis, though they should also wick much better due to being a flow direction dimension lower than a vapor chamber. I'd be curious what an inverse hanging GPU would do, with the I/O at the bottom and the majority of the cooler pointing upwards, likely the same issue but to a lesser degree as the pooling effect would be closer to the die, possibly negating the issue. There's also the likelihood that cards are being designed for traditional vertical mounting at this point anyways, so the traditional vertical and traditional horizontal could likely be flipped in expected results. GN should do this testing but also get the Nvidia cooler design guy back on to explain the directional phenomena with these vapor chambers.
@@JohnDoe-hw8ge I was gonna say, not enough people know this it's not even just vapor chambers, my old 6800 XT Nitro+ hates this orientation. We need a major tech youtuber to bring this issue to light.
Just got a thermal take prebuilt and have been more than pleased with it, great cable managment, great config, and they even added 2 extra intake fans that werent shown on the picture, with a total of 5 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans the thermals are awesome, and the build quality is amazing
Excellent case, I recently built my gfs PC inside this. Without any issues it fit a 360 aio from EK and a quite beefy 7900xt. Nice case, good materials, no issues with thermals. One point of criticism regarding the side panels, I'm not sure if its just our unit or all of them are like this, but after a while the panels tend to get a bit bent, they still do hold via magnets, but there is a visible gap between them.
I just did my first ever build in the Tower 300. I went with the matcha green colour. Love the case, but a little more room would have been nice. Minor issues I encountered… My motherboard cables had super tight bends and are hard against my AIO and the fan I put over the PSU. I ordered some Cablemod replacements which I hope will be more flexible and eliminate the excess cabling I had to shove in there; My lowest 360 AIO fan was rubbing against the thumbscrew on the hard drive holder on the side of the PSU cage. I replaced the thumbscrew with a regular low profile one; I’m not crazy about the cables coming out of the top of the case. I’m keeping the case on my desk and bringing them out the bottom would have been preferable. I might take a step drill to the back of the case and put in a grommet nearer the bottom in the future. The IO shield on my motherboard was causing a fitting issue - it was hitting the PCIE brackets beside it. Took the shield off - no biggie, you can’t see it anyways once the build is done. Like I said, a LITTLE more room would have prevented most of my issues. Still, I love the case and recommend checking one out of you have the chance. Also, there’s the Tower 650 coming out later this year…😉 Update - you’ll probably need some DisplayPort extension cables (M2F) with 90-degree male connectors to plug into your graphics card, or get VERY flexible cables with short connectors. I bought some good cables and there’s no way I can get them to fit - they bang into the exhaust fans.
When i saw this case i thought this was perfect for my first pc and i have it in my cart right now along with the other parts. I honestly geeked out when i realized how the case was designed and was really impressed and showed it to my sisters and explained why its a really good case design 😅
I enjoyed this video. Having some insights from someone that has bought similar cases before was more reassuring to me that it's a viable product, and I found the variance of the colors available for the case very appealing. I've searched for cute colored cases before and have had a hard time finding products that I felt were good enough quality for the price. This one seems super newbie friendly with all the easy access, I really liked how it had the easy to clean fan screens and magnets for many of the panels, and the way the build was done with less tech jargon about every part being installed made it easier for me to stay focused on what the vid was intended to be about. (I'm not against having a lot of tech jargon I'm just easily distracted) 👍
I, for one, want to see more of Elijah building computers! After Steve tore apart the Fractal Mood, I've been looking for a better M-ATX case for my daughter, and this might be it! Great job covering it.
Even though I have no immediate plans to build my best personally gaming rig, I decided to install the NJ450-SXL and I gotta say, the Cerberus Sliger is by far the best case I've ever messed with. I'm glad to have this... ALMOST DECADE OLD CASE?! I can't take this, whatever happened to being a 2010s teenager?
I think the first time I saw this case was at whatever the most recent tech showcase event was. I was considering getting it then but now I’m pretty much sold. Thank you, Elijah!
I've always loved mATX cases, especially some of the more quirky ones! They're often quite subpar for cooling though, so it's wild to see 420mm radiator support and ALL fan slots accepting up to 140mm fans, this case should be suuuuper cool!
I figured out why after all these years Elijah is my favorite. He's so at home in front of a camera. He emotes a lot yeah, but it's not like he's hamming it up for the camera. He's so natural, it almost feels like I'm hangin' out with em'.
This case is very beautiful when fully built. I bought one in black a few months ago and haven't looked back. The cable routing can be a little tight on the I/O but its overcomeable and unnoticeable when completed. 10/10 case imho
I just finished my build in this case recently!!!! Fun case to build in. Does fit a 420mm radiator but with some finesse. the bottom fan can rub on the psu cover
I'm really glad to see how Thermaltake has improved over the last 3-4 years, from cheap corky products 20 years ago, to really well designed and quality products. I've owned some of their stuff when I was a kid and well, despite everything worked well my choices could have been better. Now they're making really good cases, power supplies and memories and I love them.
Honestly when it comes to front IO all I need is 2 USB-A, a 3.5mm jack, and 1 USB-C. I'm only ever going to plug earbuds, a flashdrive, and/or a mouse dongle into it.
I appreciate the separate audio jacks because Windows is dumb. Two USB-A and one C is definitely the sweet spot. My 4000D frustrates me when I need a dongle just to plug in my mouse & keyboard.
Love my Racing Green 300, adding noctua fans for a brown and beige touch, kind of like an old British racer. I'm awful at cable management and the case pretty much does it for you
I built my first real gaming PC off a micro ATX motherboard a few years ago. Now with a full sized board I am realizing just how efficient you have to be when building one of these smaller boards.
To be fair the silverstone Raven rotated motherboard vertical cooling solution was wildly successful in its day. Fun to see that for factor pop up again
I love this Tower 300! My rig right now sits inside a white Tower 100 and I believe I paid just as much for that one as the 300 costs today! I’d totally have a 300 when I upgrade!
as a pre-built owner of this unit i'm currently satisfied with its ease of access and air flow design. however one of the sticking on the rgb ram has failed revealing the rgb led inside. also you can't mess with the i/o without taking the top apart each time. since mine sits on the desktop and i don't plug unplug many peripherals so its cable management once & done for me.
If you're making a display case that's meant to sit on your desk, why would you ever use top I/O, especially when you have that bottom panel. Just put the I/O at the bottom of the front, and flip the motherboard so that all the cables exit via the rear. I like the looks of the case, but this decision seems so backwards, and the top-mounted rear I/O means that you're going to need longer cables to account for the droop, not to mention there's less room for a cable to bend, of which the basement has ample room for. It's less of an issue if the case is on its side with the stand, but personally I don't like the asymmetry with the basement being taller than the attic; plus it takes up an unreasonable amount of space.
Just finish building this, and i have to say there are some flaws. Like one they tell you can put two exhaust fans in the back but unless you install an SSD and/or a hub (i have the lian Li setup) its impossible to close the back. So I had to install the two exhaust fans outside the case making my thermal 300 having a cute backpack. Another gripe i had with this case is why didn't they just put a big slit on the top of the mobo where your feed all your wires/usb go into instead of bottlenecking into one slot. Puts a lot of pressure on the wires since you have to bend them a bit. Lastly, since you have to insert all your wires through the top fan shroud, my display/HDMI sometimes hit the top fans so you have to bend the wires a bit... So Thermal if you are seeing this comment fix the next iteration...PS even with a 360 radiator you cant fit that SSD by the power supply shroud..I have the Lian Li Hydroshift.
I built my new rig in one a month ago, some slight cons but on the whole I think it's great. Having a GPU with a power connector on that points down in this case makes it look sooo much better and I don't have to worry about any flexing.
Great case but the way he handled it at the end had me dying inside cause brother you left the aio running with the PC while you just casually shifting that pump around 😮😮
I plotted my Lian Li D11 Mini in yellow for the Pikachu theme. Cool to have the option of the case already coming in the correct color for the computer theme.
I bought several components from Thermaltake when I built my pc a few years ago, and replaced every single one of them within a year. Their products are horribly designed and the quality is not even close to their competitors. It’s one of the few brands I actively discourage people from buying when asked for suggestions.
I don't like the design but I do like having the GPU and motherboard facing this way up, and having the ports covered like that. Easy to access providing you're not mounting to the underside of a desk.
I love Elijah but was anyone else concerned that he's building a PC? 🤣 I'm probably biased from him in extreme upgrade videos but still a little anxious.

My Pc is built in a Tower 200 and has a 16in 2560x1600 screen inside of it to take up the whole front glass. I love it!
I built my new rig in one a month ago, some slight cons but on the whole I think it's great.
Having a GPU with a power connector on that points down in this case makes it look sooo much better and I don't have to worry about any flexing.
Elijah is becoming good at this, nice sideway too, and he still had the level of fail of linus, so futur star of the show!
Great video Elijah. Cool looking case but I may be too boring for something that exotic
720 BABY!!!
Next apple video...

I'm a MAC!
Been planning a build in a 100 or 200 for a while. This is even better
Enjoyed you as host Elijah, relaxed and enjoying it
I bought several components from Thermaltake when I built my pc a few years ago, and replaced every single one of them within a year. Their products are horribly designed and the quality is not even close to their competitors. It’s one of the few brands I actively discourage people from buying when asked for suggestions.
Love my tower 100 but always wanted to do a custom liquid build in it. I'll be buying this 300 soon so I finally can
If they make this an minimalist open air case like the core p3 with support for the arctic 420 aio, i would be sold
I don't like the design but I do like having the GPU and motherboard facing this way up, and having the ports covered like that. Easy to access providing you're not mounting to the underside of a desk.
the yellow one looks incredible. borderlands aura
YES I was looking for you guys review this cage
I love Elijah but was anyone else concerned that he's building a PC? 🤣 I'm probably biased from him in extreme upgrade videos but still a little anxious.
2:10 When Elijah said "your mic" i heard "your knife" like thats what the icon looked like. Idk. Weird idea to have a knife port on a computer case.
