    I get that this is a low volume product, but you can buy 3 keyboards in the same product category (low profile mechanical) for the asking price of $380 or build an incredible standard mechanical keyboard. The pomodoro is cool, but nothing you can't run on the machine you're actually using to work on. The screen is cool, but this has half the battery capacity of a Nuphy (which also isn't running a screen) so I don't expect battery life to be great. Also no mention of macro keys on the product page (if I missed it, my bad, but you should probably make it clearer), no function row, no media keys, and no QMK/VIA makes it a hard sell for productivity users.
    Props for using a mx style stem, build quality, and language options, though. Wish you all the best.

      lol yeah, as a programmer and photographer, this was my first thought as well
      they say it's a keyboard to focus and get work done... and yet, is missing some of the main keys I use to do said work 🤣
      edit: wtf did they do with my tilde key? I need that for coding

      @razemix 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Right? Don't claim it's for everyone when it lacks a basic feature like this. But at least you get a f**king magnetic ruler. 🙃

      @@funknick Well as a programmer who also uses design tools, I need the Fn keys but don't love them at all. If I need them, I want them as two rows to the left of my keyboard cuz while I can touch type, I really hate a row of keys above my number keys. On the left side, I can quickly hit the right button with my pinky just as I do with my numpad. Now, if more creative apps worked like SublimeText/VS Code with an command-control-p / shift-control-p quick search function menu, I would never need that damn function keys ever again. Also, the whole F5/F4/F7 default thing for debugging/stepping through code is the dumbest most idiotic, most unintuitive default ever. Stopi t!

      usually on keyboards without the function row, you need to hold in the fn key (opt in this keyboard’s case?) + the corresponding number

    It's strange to pursue the screen gimmick. Apple gave up on the touch bar, it's redundant because you have a giant integrated screen in front of you already, it requires a niche sdk to develop on. I don't see it

      I'm into keyboards, and I don't go below TKL for work. It's just less convenient not having the F row and dedicated navigation keys. This keyboard is marketed as a work keyboard, so I'll judge it as a work keyboard.

    esp32-s3 + resin printing + low profile switches + arduino giga display + as5600 magnetic encoder + jlcpcb PCB manufacturing is still cheaper and even has function key rows. Plus i'll get better resolution with a magnetic encoder rather than a rotary encoder

    Just got my nomad e, typing on it right now actually.. This isn't a bad keyboard, there are a lot of things that I would change about it like the depth of keys (takes forever to press them in) the wheels on the side do not reflect how fast it works with the computer (each notch turned doesn't always register) and the overall texture of the keys are a little too slippery for my liking. I love the screen and would love to see all of the things you implement into it in the future, I really hope it doesn't just stay a timer and a little toy tracking my WPM. Overall this isn't a bad keyboard, just not worth a dime over $150. I preordered this last year in september and the hype has most definitely died down for me. Good thing I spent the $370 last year on this because I would've been very upset if I got charged now for this lmao.

    For $350 I could get a high end custom keyboard that's actually well made with high quality materials like a smith and rune iron 165, constance tkl, etc. or spend in the $100-200 range and get a keychron, neo, zoom, etc. and still get a better quality keyboard.

    So you will be shipping soon... but you can't even make up your mind on how STAGGERING works on you keyboard. If it's such an important feature to put it first, why does it have different STAGGER on 1:07? It's a standard typewriter stagger of 0.75u - 0.25u - 0.5u, but on most other shots it's 0.75u - 0.25u - 0.25u.

  • @azenyr
    @azenyr 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Abolish the screen and give us the F row. We need a keyboard, not a computer with keys. Adding too many features to a simple device might sound cool to shareholders but its inevitably a failure to consumers.
    Remove the screen. Add the F row. Or... you won't last long, sadly.
    Also by removing the screen you could lower the price to values that people can actually pay
