I know how a simple valueless 2-stroke engine works. I also understand how a 2-cycle hit-and-miss engine with an exhaust valve, holds open the exhaust valve so the piston does not create a vacuum opening the intake poppet-valve drawing in fuel-air mixture during the 'miss' revolutions so fuel isn't wasted and worse raw fuel-air pumped out the exhaust during miss revolutions... But how does a 2-cycle hit and miss engine like the Maytag 92/72, without an exhaust valve, prevent fuel-air intake and then (unburnt) pushed out as exhaust on the 'miss' revolutions?
I was given a 1936 model 31 it was stuck on the Oil Fitting by the kickstart I disassembled cleaned and reassembled with new gaskets but I can't get it to fire up I can heat the cylinder around the spark plug with a little torch and put a little gas in the spark plug hole and then try kicking it will pop off for about 2-3 seconds
take it all apart and put it back together again, follow them notes you wrote down on them blank pages, you will smile when first start up,,,, no need to be heating anything up, just saying
@cubcadetpuller Yes I can do that. it will take some time to post the videos,as I have some other projects on the work bench right now..I will follow up on it ..check back..Thanks
