I live in Massachusetts. Just got married and need to renew my DACA. i havent updated my social or any documents.. what name do i provide? And will this create issues with my renewal?
Hi there! For your DACA renewal, it would make sense to use the name currently on your DACA records and Social Security information. If you have not yet updated your documents to reflect your new married name, continue using your maiden name for the renewal process to ensure consistency across all your legal documents. To avoid potential issues in the future, definitely update your Social Security card and other documents to your married name after your DACA renewal. And from there you would use your new name on your Marriage Adjustment application. Is the adjustment the next step or where are you in the process?
We have a marriage certificate from Georgia. It doesn't show the name change but they gave us a certified copy of the application for the license where it lists the designated name I want. They said I should tale both papers when I go get my drivers license. Will see how it works for other stuff
Hello, my wife would like to change her last name to my artistic last name (the last name I go by) and so I would also like to change my legal last mame to my artistic last name. Would this cause any hiccups for USCIS or in my home country? 😅
I'm the American. The marriage certificate shows that I will change it to my married name. Is it safe for me to put my married name even tho my id and things still shows my maiden name
Hey. My wife still has her maiden name. She wants to change it to my last name. She we wait until she changes her name on our marriage certificate then we start the adjustment of status application or we can go ahead . Thanks

Hi, can I ask at the interview for green card to have my name changed?
Hi there! It is a possibility, but it's somewhat rare to have an interview these days since they often waive interviews and just mail the GC to you.
Hi! How can I change my name if we already submitted our AOS?
We were married in Las Vegas, Nevada. We were able to change her name on that marriage certificate.
Thank you so much for sharing! It's interesting how it all changes depending on the location. That was a great choice to get married in Vegas!

When are the aos fees going up?
Is it a must to change the name? Will it affect me if I don't change It?
