Love this interview of Robin! It’s great. In other past interviews I saw her as too much private, uncomfortable, like she was not ready to share her true feelings because, as she says in this, she doesn’t like to be known. But here she seems so honest, calm and relaxed. She’s almost a 60 years old woman and she doesn’t care anymore if she says the right thing or not. I know she loves the movie ‘Pippa Lee’ but she’s aware that film was not a big success so she tells the interviewer nobody has seen this movie and there’s no need to talk about that. My point is that she’s so sincere here.

I was with Robin in Paris in 1983. I first saw her when she was 11 years old and was blown away at her ethereal beauty. Her brother was my sister's first boyfriend. I was 23 and a make up artist in Paris and Rob was modeling and we became great friends. We were at a cafe and Robin and I always talked like black girls from the South. I looked at her one day and said, "Ma Fren . . . YOU GONNA BE FAMOUS!" I became her psychic and Vedic Astrologer when I was 30 . . . and what a story that is . . .
This was just a fantastic interview. Very in depth and not obtrusive. It covered her great roles and journey to where she is today. I have never seen many interviews with her but she has always been an actress I have always really enjoyed! Thank you!👌🏼🙏🏼

All the networks seem to be wanting to kill off soaps, but that would be a great reboot.
It is so refreshing to hear actress with strong integrity it is almost impossible combination in that profession. Still modest and realistic.

Natural beauty
Santa Barbara was a wonderful soap and she was great on it-- a cream puff with a core of steel. Robin gave the character nuance that her replacements eschewed.

Great actress and I'd go as far to say underappreciated I think in the US. Versatile, though they've tried to stereotype her so many times. She has more than succeeded also as a director. And she's as lovely as she was when she started out.

I liked Her in The Pledge.
They may have in fact started with the idea of killing her off because she only had 4 months left on her contract. Although many of their contracts tacts allowed them to do other jobs ( Robin, A, Marcy, and Lane) they probably didn’t care for the interruption, there’s an interview where Marcy shared that although she could take other jobs, she often felt like she was punished for doing so. They killed Mason off several times…She may know exactly what she’s talking about 😂

Robin has always been dismissive of Santa Barbara, when she should be grateful it put her on the map.
Well there are multiple possible reasons one might behave that way. It might be because she wasn't happy with parts of her experience or she felt she wasn't growing or her role wasn't what she wanted to be doing, feeling stuck, depressed and trapped and wanting to get out, tired of talking about her previous job when it didn't fulfill her. Maybe she didn't like how she was treated by her boss and was tired of having to comply to their demands and rules and just not interested in the storylines. Whatever the reason, I don't think she should be called out for not being grateful enough.
Life is complicated. She has her own feelings and has a right to how she feels. Many actors have to take on jobs they don't like to do to earn a living.
Princess Bride put her on the map
She got the Princess Bride part , so she took that and left SB, completelty reasonable. So yes, Princess Bride put her on the map..when i saw that movie i was like, 'thats Kelly!'

Love Robin. This “interviewer” on the other hand…? His snotty put down of soaps…? Sick of that kind of thing. Robin, by her own admission learned her craft on Santa Barbara and got paid really well for it. Not many people get a chance to go to college and get paid to do so. Also, reading four years of plot and condensing it into one line is hardly fair. But this guy did it for a cheap laugh. Soaps are hard work and there have been great moments on all of them. Not every day is golden, but not every movie or play is a winner either.
