Thanks.. I just used this method for my W203 C180 Key Knob which a bit different design but same pullout. I have searched TH-cam for this and I just found this video. I have subscribed to your channel for more DIY.
Many thanks for this video instruction. This pullout key fob is different to the others and opens differently - not obvious how until you showed how in this video clip. It worked on W203 key fob and also W221 key fob. Changed the batteries - no problem. Thank you very much.
Thanks heaps. Even my cars manual had the wrong instructions. Mine is the two battery pull out version, whereas the manual had the newer flip up , single battery version. Bad mercedes!
Another thing to note is that the key won’t start the car if the batteries are flat... unlike the W204 single battery which will start the car with a flat battery ... I think?
@@davidtaylor595 In that case my key might actually be broken, or specifically the buttons. Car starts up fine but the buttons don't work. Thanks for the heads up if the battery change doesn't help

If the key has not been openened for a while, it's indeed a bit stuck. Also note these keys are different from other keys like W202 with opening.
