As a rockets fan I was genuinely worried about him being shipped to what ended up being a guard heavy team. Not to mention how directionless it was with how unstructured the team played. It just felt like he wouldn’t be able to develop as hoped. If he was drafted to say the spurs for example I’m confident he’d be developed in a way to stay comfortably at the nba level.
College Basketball in general is a stunted growth in its self. I use to follow it in the 90's and 2000s. Other then the Zion year at Duke that was the last time I followed a team and anticipated watching Dukes games. You should do a stunted Growth on NCAA Basketball.
I mean, on the men’s side you have a point. The one and done rule takes the best players out of college right away tho. Caitlyn Clark just turned the whole sport upside down tho and had people interested LAST YEAR. This year was even bigger with her, and Angel Reese both playing another year. The Zion team you mentioned was a one year roller coaster. Imagine if that team was there for 4 years. CBB would have been nuts.
i’m a fan of this guys game, but i feel like a guy like caleb love is unfortunately gonna end up on this channel. should he have left after the 2022 championship run?
Was his growth stunted or did he realize his full potential and his potential is what we see? Sure, if he was talller stronger more athletic, but he ain’t. If he could shoot 40% from three, but the vast majority in the NBA even cannot. If was a defensive stopper or rebounder or ball thief, but he ain’t. He is just a really good basketball player who is not good enough.
His injury at the end of his time at UK is what stunted him. He was solid, and was really carrying that team for awhile. I think given more patience to develop, he’ll be great imo.
False narrative.. imo he still developing and once his # is called he will show and prove.. His Mid range is cash, i.q. on 100. I pray he gets a true shot..
As a rockets die hard and Kentucky fan it’s crazy seeing him on the bucks bench but honestly we never gave him a clear role. I don’t see his career over with but I do agree his chances of getting minutes are slim but this video was a year early in my opinion
I helped coach a team he was apart of and when I found out how nice he was I was instantly rooting for him. He is a good kid with good skills the game just moves very fast
I hate this one and done rule...at the very most 4 or 5 guys should be leaving after their freshman year...It will make college and pro basketball better
TyTy had an NIL deal with a Porsche dealership and other deals, I’m not sure why he walked away from that. He could have been set financially from college ball.
Yes: You dont get the privilege of time in the NBA, especially as a point guard. He is a 1st rd pick already on a 2 way. What are yal, his Cousins or something? Nothing special here and the eye test shows it.
@@drewp1076 that’s literally the teams fault tho there were too many guards on the rockets to begin with so that set him up for failure you gotta think about situations they are in as well
It’s not personal, the NBA is a big business and this video shows how hard it is to even have a career and usually they give guys 4 years after being drafted to see if they’re good enough to be extended or sometimes they just trade or release them

Yo, you should do Daishen Nix
Not playing can definitely stunt your growth but overall it just shows how hard the nba is. Everyone is not going to be a all star or starter.
I think it’s way too early to do a stunted growth on Ty Ty. Only been in the league for not even 2 years yet
Do Frank Ntilikina
Good one.👍🏾
Stunt#4 Stephen Silas. Silas ruined so many young (Rockets) players careers. I think TyTy could have been something with the Rockets.
this why you not a nba gm...
@@RealWordsTv8 so you gone explain how hes wrong cause jasean tate and kenyon martin jr have taken a step back too.
Yep, TyTy and Garuba especially needed a lot of well planned development, and Silas did none of that.
They had a whole team of young players lol only so many players can play @dr.wongburger2947
Lies I helped Jalen & Alpren check your facts before you comment
I wonder if there was or ever will be a 'stunted growth' video on a player previously featured who overcame their deficiencies.
This!
How did Silas mess him up it was the front office we had guards already why the heck they pick another one 😂😂😂

NCAA growth ain’t stunted at all it’s just not advertised on social media as much especially with a weak draft. Next year is gonna be loaded wit stars

*Absolutely* , he should have. Those dagger 3s he was hitting to send Coach K out the right way? *Gotta* strike while the iron's hot.
I agree 100%

They get a chance to make money for themselves and their family and have more time to develop in a nba environment before they turn 20. That’s a deal.
Reed Shepard couldnt even get off against Oakland

I think everybody needs to stay in college two years.

I can see him having a career overseas.
Yeah but he’ll probably stick around in the nba for another year or two on two way deals
