Hell, yeah! They're a girl band! They wrote this song about the asshole male producers and managers and to show them that a girl could kick ass on a guitar...hence the reference to a "Barracuda".

50 years later and they're still performing and doing concerts. My brother posted some videos from a concert in Toledo last year.

I saw them in 2015 at Molson amphitheater in Toronto. Nancy is big now but her voice is just as pristine as ever!!! And Anne still kills it on guitar. Best night ever!!!

Crazy on You... The lyrics, the voice...it will give you chills. The opening guitar is probably one of the most complex guitar riffs on any rock song.

You have just listened to the most icoinic girls rock group ever. Heart started it all for women in Rock when Rock was in a predominantly male field. Saw them 2 years ago, and they are still as great as they were in 77. Her voice hasn’t changed 1 iota. I’m a Rock snob. I’ve always been a little sexist about women in Rock. I felt Rock was for men, but then came Heart. Boy did they change my mind. They are truly mind blowing in concert!!

Ann the lead singer is 69 and her sister is 65 and they can still rock. They finished a your in the summer and now Ann is going on another solo tour. I Love the sisters. Ann wrote this song because a sleaze wanted to know how her Lover , her sister was. Ann wrote this in about 20 minutes.

My Fav Band of all time. Ann Wilson has the best voice in Rock. Nobody can duplicate her. Every time they try they sound horrible. Also, this guitar riff and the one for Crazy on you are probably some of the most recognized in Rock.
Heart is my favorite band of all time, bar none, period. No one tops Ann Wilson in my book. Love Barracuda, but my favorite Heart song of all, and my favorite song of all songs, is Magic Man. Still, I'm glad you listened to Heart, no matter which song you chose.

Pat was legit for sure but you can't leave out Joan Jett. Probably 2nd tier but in terms of rock music Lita Ford as a solo artist or Vixen aren't too bad either.

The Wilson Sisters started Heart back in the early '70s AND ARE STILL ROCKIN' ON. One of the longest preforming group in the world. They are one of the OG Seattle Rock bands & have wildly successful.
