Wow I didn’t know it was about a real person. Every time I cycle at the gym I think of this song now. And every time I listen to the song I want to get on the bike.
Not just real but probably one of the greatest cyclists of all time - she held multiple records for decades, on that crappy ole bike and without aero kit etc
She was a great friend of my Dad's. A name spoken with awe in my family and my dad wanted me to emulate her. Unfortunately, I didn't have anywhere near her amazing talent.
