I was feeling a lot of pressure because I hadn’t really ever thought about what I wanted my wedding ring to look like. But the night before ring shopping I had a dream that I watched this beautiful ring gracefully form (think Cinderella’s-ballgown graceful) and I knew it was mine. What a beautiful and unique ring. Something that no one else has. I love the creativity of the designer. It does remind me slightly of the ring that Napoleon Bonaparte gave to Josephine de Beauharnais which was sapphire and diamond but with a plain gold band and I think is such a sweet ring.
Except an emerald of the highest quality could cost more than a diamond 😁 Now you put together a diamond with perfect 4Cs and an emerald of the highest natural qualities…..on platinum…. I can see this costing around a little under half a million
Tricia G, it's hardly unique. It's a version of the "Toi et Moi" ring. A standard engagement/anniversary ring for several hundred years! Napoleon Bonaparte bought a diamond and sapphire one for his fiancee, Josephine, in 1796. That ring had two pear shaped stones of similar size.
I loved this!! I’ve never seen your videos before but you are so entertaining without trying too hard and just being yourself. It’s really refreshing to watch something not overly hyped up and just someone who is confident and calm with their craft. I definitely subscribed 👏🏻 loved the educational aspect too
The whole idea behind the ring and the choice of stones and taking time to co design it is so nice, i had a tiniest engagement ring but it broke, my husband and i wear a traditional ring, but for our first anniversary he gave me a golden ring with rubies in it, when my daughter was bron he gave me a golden ring and a bigger diamond than what’s in my wedding band, the first idea was to ad an stone when kid is born or anniversary. But that would weaken my ring. When my son was bron he gifted me a bracelet gold with suns and stars. That bracelet was those charms because we are everything on earth and between the stars to him and also he almost lost us both due to a doctor foolishness. I think design if you can and dont let anyone tell you that stone is to little or what so ever, its the hart that counts because i see often what that stone is to small! Because they reflect on what celebrities do. Mind the budget and maybe he or she can’t propose with a big ring, often later its possible to be gifted one. Normally i would have my grandparents bands but my mother stole them even when it was in writing it should be given to me as heritage. She sold them for things that no kid should witness
i love that you get a cool new gift with their births, i think that makes the jewelry even more sentimental and cute because its as old as they child, omg, may god bless your union, this is cute!!

I had my engagement ring custom designed with a pear shaped sapphire. My mum and grandma both had sapphire engagement rings so it seemed fitting - never would have got it off the shelf! It was such a fun and meaningful process to design something that I'll hopefully wear forever.
Just came across your video and had to say that you’re not only knowledgeable but also got a great sense of humor! I’m not even that into jewelry, but will watch your videos!
I’m not really into jewelry, even got a tattoo on my ring finger instead of a ring earlier this year, but you sure do make it interesting! I would never have noticed those tiny little caps on the end of the pear shape, and the difference in the shape of the heart with the ratio was quite marked. Thanks for making such interesting content 👍
I love Emerald for sure. Not my style but it fits her. It’s unique and it’s hers, that’s what matters. The ring is in a sense Toi et Moi which is becoming pretty popular.
I just saw their announcement and immediately thought of you reacting to it AND HERE WE ARE 😎 I love art deco gold & emerald rings myself so I do like it better than all those gaudy, tacky "megablasters" that other celebs have. too big is too big.
This ring is stunning! My husband and I got my ring custom made locally using a garnet we found together on one of our first dates at a roadside gem and gold mining place. Having the stone cut and set into my ring was actually cheaper than buying one similar with smaller stones.
I really love the time that some celebrities are taking to make their partners a truly unique piece that they’ll only have (up until there’s ones designed/based off their one) Really shows the time taken and love they have for each other Honestly jewellery in general is a very personal gift but it’s seem even more important in this case (probably because of the sentiment with it being an engagement ring)

I love it too! Although I think the rings were put on in the wrong order; the point of the green stone would then cover the thinnest part of the diamond's band, and the round part of the diamond would nestle against the emerald from the opposite side of the band. It looks to me that is why it gets so thin there. I have read that it is also designed to cut into her finger if she ever tries to remove it, I hope that is not true.
That speech and the end was beautiful and so heartwarming. Thank you so much, I was starting to get worried about not being a celebrity myslef. Love to hear how you as a profesional see the ring, and what fo you think about it, maybe you vould make a simple overview and then a deep dive video on the same ring?
I think it's a really pretty unique ring. The thing that weirds me out is the fact he designed it with thorns so it would hurt if she took it off, just seems creepy. With that nice of a ring, I'd think she want to take it off to shower and similar things
It doesn't literally have thorns on it... I believe he was referring to to the gems along each side of the bands... I would be VERY surprised if there was any sort of discomfort intentionally made into this ring design.
It does actually have thorns. If you look up her rings and the stories on it, he says he designed it so it would hurt to take off. It is very surprising it's designed to have discomfort in mind.
@@ash78907 If you look at Stephen Webster's (the actual jeweller's) Instagram feed, he has a post that shows the rings from the back/underside. The design series is called Thorn, and there's a point at the bottom of the shank that looks like it could serve the same purpose as a Euro shank (more weight on the underside to stop the ring from spinning) but it doesn't look like there's anything that would spike the finger during removal.
Love listening to your take on this unusual and beautiful ring. I didn't really appreciate the beauty of it until you explained the unusual aspects of it. Thank you for your review
I think the ring, itself, is wonderfully done. Something that most people wouldn't have even thought to do, and most are just plain afraid to gamble with. Obviously, custom made jewelry has a significantly higher price point than your standard issue " He went to Jared" ring and if you aren't a rather artistic person to begin with, you can fail on an epic level and create a disaster rather than a masterpiece- which can be rather embarrassing for the purchaser as well as the creator. I'll be subscribing
I had custom tear drop shaped pearl and titanium hinge back earrings made for me. I'm not fantastically wealthy by any means but working with a jeweler you can trust who understands what you are like and a style you are looking for makes a difference.

Hot take, I'm an April baby and always thought having diamond as the stone is kind of boring. I'd prefer something with more colour (though I know diamonds can come in different colours, the birth stone is always clear). But my favourite stone is tiger's eye, a semi-precious. It is a unique and interesting design for sure.
I'm an April baby, my family had given me small diamond birthstone rings when I grew up ,so when I got married I wanted a natural freshwater pearl for my engagement ring ..it was so special to me ,and unlike any other jewelry I had ..I also married an April baby and he already had diamond jewelry too...I do love the design of Meghan's ring
Pssst. I secretly prefer semi precious stones, too, actually. The sparkle of precious stones is a little 'too much' for my personal style. But I do love the colors and patterns of semi precious stones and generally find them totally fascinating. I wear jewelry with such stones as well and I don't care, that it's not exactly fashionable 😎
“I’ve spent years honing my craft only to have my TH-cam channel be built on the backs of celebrities.” 🤣 I’m interested in jewelry in general so whether it’s about celebrities or not I will watch 😄
Have to admit, he did a fantastic job. I really dislike all those huge, almost vulgar rings a lot of celebrities wear. This one has a lot of thought & special meaning behind it & what woman wouldn't love that?! I'd definitely wear it! 😉
I wish the two pears had formed a perfect heart, other than that, I love it. Edit: after watching the video, I don't think a perfect heart would've been possible. Btw Jordan, those weren't all birds in the background. They were coqui frogs, Puerto Rico's national animal. As a PRican I could recognize that sound anywhere. ❤ Anyway, great video. You're hilarious. 😂
So I was interested in an emerald engagement ring (also a may baby lol) but I was told by a jeweler that natural emeralds aren't built for everyday wear. Is that true? What's your opinion?
Emeralds have a crystal structure that makes them more prone to breaking than something like a garnet, ruby or diamond. They’re actually more similar to an aquamarine. So while you can, just be more careful with it than you would a diamond. If you accidentally smash the ring into something much harder like a stone countertop it might not be okay. However. Something to consider is an “emerald cut” actually plays into the natural structure of an emerald. The rounded pear is going to be more prone to breakage than the rectangular cut that’s more common, for that reason.
Was totally not expecting this reaction from you for some reason haha! When I first saw the ring I thought it was tacky but then again I'm 10000% sure I will never see a diamond or emerald gemstone that size in my life! 🙃Mgk did say it was made especially for her which is incredibly sweet and thoughtful.
I'm here for your commentary. I had to google both of the celebs. The ring is stunning. I hope that the newly engaged couple have a good life together.

@@alanarea5685 Im just going off quotes from Machine Gun Kelly. Maybe he meant it figuratively, but still an odd thing to want on your partner
@@ash78907 yeah...red flag
Love listening to your take on this unusual and beautiful ring. I didn't really appreciate the beauty of it until you explained the unusual aspects of it. Thank you for your review
I’m glad you enjoyed! Thanks for your comment
I think the ring is beautiful! So different
love the green and the shape of the ring not only the diamonds but the shape of the ring.
Its so beautiful and unique
Jordan reading "Mr. Machine Gun's' post was priceless! I love this guy!
Thanks Ashley! I agree knowing your partners taste is really important, especially if you are taking creative risks!
I had custom tear drop shaped pearl and titanium hinge back earrings made for me. I'm not fantastically wealthy by any means but working with a jeweler you can trust who understands what you are like and a style you are looking for makes a difference.
So interesting.I heard about the ring and went to look for a react video.Glad I clicked on yours.Super cool take on it.Learned a lot and now look forward to more.Subscribed!🙌🏻💍
Gorgeous ring! I love white gold and emerald ( my engagement ring) this is special. Thank you for sharing.
It’s very interesting. Please don’t stop making them. I’m a new subscriber
This is literally the most beautiful unique ring I've ever seen! I love it 😍
A friend went too emerald mines.I got to pick 3.Like that color.Thats great color.Amazingly clean.
Love your channel! I've always wanted to be a goldsmith and be able to create pieces from metal and shparkly rocks ya know? But where I live its a bit hard to get started so I really like watching your content cause it makes it seem very approachable. Anyways, keep it up man!!
Thank agree! My engagement ring is opal and I get compliments about it being Unique! And it’s my dream ring ❤️ soft or not it means the world to me and it’s my dream ring + more! ❤️💍
This ring is gorgeous!! Despite your feelings regarding these two stars, you can't deny how beautiful and romantic this ring is.
I liked how you explained details that I was not even aware of with an untrained eye. Thanks!!
I love your excitement for it.
That ring is absolutely stunning! Always loved Colombian Emeralds (looks like one). I'd love a Australian Lightning Ridge Black Opal for an engagement ring. Always my favorite stone.
opals are beautiful but so soft for a ring you will wear every day...
The color is unmatched!
TH-camrs, especially goldsmith TH-camrs, ARE as important as doctors! Maybe even more because you’re providing beautiful things to see and learn about!
New sub! Loved this video! I love different looking jewelry. There’s something really special about the uniqueness to go with the individual. Can’t wait for part 2! Now I’m gonna go binge your other videos 👍🏻
Congratulations on another fantastic video. Very interesting and entertaining! 8 stars🌟 I mean 4🌟😂
Nice review and I love watching you create as well! Lol. Keep it going, man!!!
If you're looking for more celebrity engagement rings to react to/review, could you do Kourtney Kardashian's ring from Travis Barker? :) Way more traditional than this but still fun to hear your thoughts
I love your videos. You have such a kind spirit and passion when talking about your craft.
I’ve watched a few of your videos - always brilliant. You’re so funny - i’d watch you just for that! But, great content too. Winner.
“I’ve spent years honing my craft only to have my TH-cam channel be built on the backs of celebrities.” 🤣
I’m interested in jewelry in general so whether it’s about celebrities or not I will watch 😄
Hahaha very good to know! I’ll keep my channel a mix :)
“TH-camrs are basically as important as doctors” the most Michael Scott thing I’ve heard all day
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I literally cried with his caption. That was such a beautiful caption and the ring is sooo very thoughtful and unique! I absolutely love it ❤️
Very well written, for sure
I really loved the ring and your review of it! love how you keep it real, feels very personal
Thanks Natasha, I’m still figuring it all out but I’m glad you enjoyed
Have to admit, he did a fantastic job. I really dislike all those huge, almost vulgar rings a lot of celebrities wear. This one has a lot of thought & special meaning behind it & what woman wouldn't love that?! I'd definitely wear it! 😉
Enjoyed this one, loved that you explained the shape and the size to determine the desired allusion.
the ring is actually magnetic! both rings have a magnet in so they snap together :)
I want to see that ring in person!
Beautiful ring 💍 I heard it here first from you and appreciate your opinion as someone in the field.
Anyway, great video. You're hilarious. 😂
Thanks Gina! :) I had no idea frogs could sound like that hahaha.
the nature sounds are frogs ?!
@@HosCreates Yup! Look for a coqui video and you can see (and hear) it up close. Lol
@@HosCreates yes. They are a special, tiny tree frog from Puerto Rico.
I love it too, because it's different. I also love the pear shape, which is probably my favorite shape.
What’s your favorite Megan fox movie? Personally I really enjoyed her role in transformers
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This ring reminds me of Jackie Kennedy's engagement ring...her collection is my all time favorite.
Definitely!
So I was interested in an emerald engagement ring (also a may baby lol) but I was told by a jeweler that natural emeralds aren't built for everyday wear. Is that true? What's your opinion?
I've heard that too....🤔
Emeralds have a crystal structure that makes them more prone to breaking than something like a garnet, ruby or diamond.
I like this guy!And I love his take on everything!
