You can still get those Lexicon reverbs, maybe $200 for a used MPX-1. And Digitech basically inherited Lexicon's IP. So, if you want Lexicon, get Lexicon. If you want more, this may be for you.
Your demos are a serious threat to my bank account. Still have to watch them because of the great music. So when are you going to release the "Demo Compilation Album"? I would buy that, or at least stream it. ✌✌
Always love your playing demos, thanks for the inspiration. I have the H-90 and love it, does this at all compare/overlap or are we apples and oranges with what you can get out of the Strymon?
There is overlap for sure, but it's interesting, each company sort of has a signature sound to their algorithms. Eventide Blackhole is ambient and has a different sound than Strymon Bloom or Cloud.... I guess you just have to hear it and then go oh yeah! Both are great though
Hi Pete i love this video i love the new big sky mx ❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸🎸🤟🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🎸🌟❤️❤️Im coming in Nashville with my dad im so happy really very soon i think when i come in Nashville i bought an cloudburst strymon ❤❤❤❤😊im going in nashville at honky tonk school 🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🎸🎸🎸🎸
I’m very pleased to hear a content creator of your caliber would say it’s the BEST you really do not get that response from others here on the TH-cam 🤟🏻Respect!!This fucker sounds phenomenal 😮
Hi Pete, can it have different routing for every “saved” preset? Ex. Preset 1 parallel, preset 2 split R+L, preset 3 series, and so on and so forth? Thank you 😊
As much as I enjoy giving you headaches on your personal page, I do truly enjoy your reviews and admire your skill. Great playing and great review. I have a Blue Sky and a Timeline. I love Strymon pedals.
Had the BigSky for a longtime now. The idea that this is way better is mind blowing....setting the standard for another 10 years? I wonder what TimeLine 2.0 will be like?
With PG&E rates going the direction they are, it's a matter of time before I won't be able to afford electricity. Might I suggest a Cordoba C10 crossover for all you guitarist that will rue the day of not buying an electric free option.
@@PeteThorn Strymon have clearly chosen a high price point for their products (of which I do own a bunch) but if you're just looking for processing power and audio options you could do all this in the DAW for much less to similar quality. So, IMO at least, the form factor does place it is an existent market with anticipated use cases/competition/pricing expectations, in which case it does come out mighty toppy! Enjoyed the demo/review whatever the case tho, cheers
i think pedal makers are going the amps route where the cost at one point won't be viable for most.... an all in one reverb and all in one delay will run you $2K - or look at the new Walrus MAKO (where I am) $2100 for all 4 pedals.... yet you can get a quad cortex that can do it all or fender modeler..... I think they need to rethink how they want to hold on to their share of the GAS market !!! Great sounds none the less!
@mmckmusic If your goal was to come across snobby, unlikable and rude, then congrats, you succeeded. Companies price stuff to sell, sorry if you're so poor that you can't afford it, but I and many others bought this unit day 1, and it is selling like hot cakes. Maybe leave the guitar and gear opinions to Pete Thorn and the pricing of pedals based on market trends to companies like Strymon. You don't know as much as you think you do, you nobody.
Reminds me of the Lexicon reverbs from the good old days.

Really inspired song at the beginning, as always. Especially the "climax" after the break. Dig it. Thanks
I love my Blue Sky v1.
Nobody cares

Great demo Pete, as always! Thanks!
What up, Pete! Love Strymon pedals. Cant wait for this one
Thanks for another inspiring demo. BTW, it was cool to meet you at the coffee shop.... \m/
Good to meet you as well!
2 pedals for the price of 1.5 is a great deal. I have my MX now, for few months, very satisfied !
that was beautiful Pete!
Thanks!!
Unreal playing and sound!
I have the Strymon Blue Sky and the Cloudburst. I wonder if should to replace them with the Big Sky Max? Thanks for the great demo of this pedal!

So much inspiration in 1 video 👍💗

Excellent playing and tones aside, I love how your video title is a statement 👌😎 most TH-camrs can’t decide 😂
Question: if you could put the worlds greatest pedal board together what would you put in it?
Hi Pete, can it have different routing for every “saved” preset? Ex. Preset 1 parallel, preset 2 split R+L, preset 3 series, and so on and so forth? Thank you 😊
Yes you can. It’s really fun :)

Strymon and Thorn, it’s a good combination 👊
I sold my blue sky because it added tone, bought a UA Golden which adds nothing, is this any different?
Had the BigSky for a longtime now.

I'm a Big Sky user and this one caught me off guard...dang is it worth the upgrade to mx?
I am just going to have to buy one!!!
The single coils sound awesome
excelente audio, tengo la versión anterior, muy bueno esté?
hay mucha diferencia con la versión anterior?
Is there a pedal that will help my playing sound like Pete's? As usual great playing and sound maestro.
Thanks!
Unit sounds amazing. Wish the price was not so high
I still wanna play with the 'Night Sky'. I think it's the only one with such shimmering and ambient reverbs!???

If it gets to the point of needing an electric free option, most of us will have far bigger problems than whether or not we're playing music.
get solar bruh

Blue sky mx ....great amp works with reverb ....
Make Reverb Great Again!
MRGA World peace through reverb.
It’s a great pedal but I’m selling mine as I just prefer the UA Golden, I’ve preferred the UA over everything I played.
Price tho, for a reverb pedal 😲
Imagine it's in a rack. Would it seem reasonable? Don't judge based on the enclosure, it's insanely powerful and high end sounding
@@PeteThorn Barely lol

Specular Tempus has entered the chat*
I was wondering who ended up with Jeff Becks rug
Don't agree with Pete this time. This pedal is x2 too big and x2 too expensive imo
I have the original and man it sounds so good. I'd consider this one just for the IR reverb capability.
Too much reverb.
Wrong
