Hearing Atopos and then Ovule back to back the shape of this new album is starting to form and it is so deeply exciting. For us "weirdos" who love her, she has helped us find our tribe of a better world where emotional intelligence is important. So so so so in awe of this woman and so ready for this album!
I have had the pleasure to witness her beginnings with the Sugarcubes and Birthday. I am following her since and was not always happy with her releases but she is truly a great and unique artist. Not only the musical but also her visual work. The new music videos make me looking forward for the new album which I think will like a lot if it keeps the promise of these teasers.
These two new singles now between them carry not a shred of a traditional structure or familiar melodic hook, and despite that they stick to you better than any pop song I've heard. Shes a damn genius.
I'm as pretentious as the next Bjork fan, but I think everything after her album with Dirty Projectors has been awful for this very reason. It's almost just playing completely random notes.
I personally would like to thank Björk for putting out art in these difficult times that turn mind completely towards creation and playfulness instead of destruction or frustration. This made me want to compose or write something today. Just fantastic.
She just keeps evolving and reaching new heights with each release! Björk is truly one of a kind, a real contemporary genius! We're all very lucky to live in the same time as her.

“Ovule” [Lyrics] I have placed a glass egg, above us floating An oval ovule in a dark blood red void Carries our digital selves, embracing and kissing My skin-mud dense by you, I anchor our darks I anchor our darks Sleep with one eye open, watching our sub-selves The keel of our ship, these obstacles are just teaching us So we can merge even deeper into our own personal mineral Fuse alloy, ship ahoy The hostility a broken heart endures The velocity of that injury is returned to thе world With the same grin showing teeth When I was a girl I fеlt love was a building I marched towards but deadly demonic divorces demolished the ideal Now with your romantic intelligence, the sensual tenderness We dissolve old habits and place a glass egg above us floating In the dark blood red oval void Our lovemaking avatars in a shell
From what I have learned through experience is that there is only one physical world and that's this one, there are no other worlds like this, no planets for us to go walk on, every outside of physical reality is spiritual and there are spiritual entity's there.
As a drummer I hold björk's beats as part of a north star that guides my playing. In this song it is like the beat is being dug up from the earth in pieces, revealing a bit more as it is unearthed, with some parts lost to time.
Maybe to sound more theatrical (?) It's kinda like some musical movies where the "movie" version has more raw almost like speaking vocals and then the "soundtrack" version is has more melodic vocals with reverb, she did a very noticeable example of this in Hyperballad's music video.
I'm contemporary with Björk's art 🙏🏻💚🙌🏻. And at 50 years of age, I am grateful to know that She still renews my heart and mind through her art. Thank you Björk 😘
I like how she is going into a more raw and diy influence of electronic music like gabber in addition to the fancy subgenres like ambient and experimental.
I love her -- she's one of my favorites because her work is very much her own and rather unrivaled. That said, I have an appreciation for a lot of different genres. But in terms of friends & family, they won't be buying her music anytime soon. I can always count on hearing something to the effect of, "this chick sounds like she's in pain. Who is it? It's awful." Haha
I'm so glad artists still exist in an era that constantly downplay art because people refuse to open themselves to it, refuse to have a dialogue with it. Instead, they want all the answers given to them. They think they want to think for themselves, but little do they know how much their fear and lazyness towards art reveal about themselves: they don't want to think for themselves. When you deny art, you're saying you want others to tell you what to think. Most of the world simply isn't ready for art and artists like Björk. I love Björk for 26 years. It could have been way more, because I know her since the early 90's, but I admit I wasn't mature enough to understand her and her work. All is full of love was an eye opener to her immense talent to write, sing and perform in uniquely meaningful ways. What a woman! ❤❤❤
Bjork is on such a high level of don't give a fuck that it transcends any middle finger antics. She truly is flying in her own lane doing exactly as she pleases. I don't know if I could handle a world of Bjorks, I do need my straight disco, but having one pure authentic sprite pouring out this kind of magic is one helluva blessing.
The video is absolutely gorgeous, I expect no less from Nick Knight. I wasn't sold on the song itself until I listened to it on Tidal. I think the audio in this video is off from sound compression because its really beautiful on a hi fi streaming service. For those unsure maybe give it another listen on a streaming service and decide.
The Tidal mix is actually an entirely different mix. The video/single mix is by Mark "Spike" Stent and the album mix on streaming services is by Heba Kadry.
I’m getting really emotional watching this. I don’t know if it’s the awe of Her ,or the beauty of the lyrics, or perhaps a deeper spiritual meaning my subconscious is interpreting-maybe it’s the sound of it. Hearing Atopos and then Ovule back to back the shape of this new album is starting to form and it is so deeply exciting. For us "weirdos" who love her, she has helped us find our tribe of a better world where emotional intelligence is important. So so so so in awe of this woman and so ready for this album!
💗
Couldn’t agree with you more!
Hahahaha she truly needs to be in an asylum... Total nonsense what she does.
@@martindelvalle5943 I mean, that's certainly one way to exist on this planet. Good luck.
Precisely
I'm as pretentious as the next Bjork fan, but I think everything after her album with Dirty Projectors has been awful for this very reason. It's almost just playing completely random notes.
This song could have been on almost any of her albums, and it would of been amazing then and now. Her talent transcends time...
The visuals with the shifting 3D matter remind me texturally of Hunter’s bear transformation!
I felt that too.
"romantic intelligence" is my new favorite phrase... I absolutely adore her style of songwriting!
Me too. And she just mentioned "splooting" too!!!
Start calling kids lovemaking avatars.
Masterpiece words😀
Bjork never disappoints. I love her weird creativity and her lyrics
Been listening to Björk since I was a kid, still love her

Her art production comes from such a different place. Like no other.
You could say it comes from a Hidden Place 🤭
I personally would like to thank Björk for putting out art in these difficult times that turn mind completely towards creation and playfulness instead of destruction or frustration. This made me want to compose or write something today. Just fantastic.
Björk is a goddess, a fairy, an elemental, a force of nature... and she has this volcanic voice that melts the ice and the mediocrity of the world.
That’s a really good description of her voice
nicely said
Perfecta descripcion !
This is maybe my favorite song she's ever created
She just keeps evolving and reaching new heights with each release! Björk is truly one of a kind, a real contemporary genius! We're all very lucky to live in the same time as her.
I'm really not into it so far. I've been going back to Vespertine and Stonemilker.
@@PrivateAckbar I see you like her most organic and sentimental side... There's prob a track or teo like that in the upcoming album even though this is gonna be her craziest one so far
This is not evolution
Heard better from her though
@@PrivateAckbar Same here. Feels really bland compared to the things she put out before imo.
I love how referential this song and video is to The Gate. The red dress bottom is just about exactly like the iridescent dress's bottom. This entire song also seems to expand on the lyric "my silhouette is oval" from The Gate. I really enjoy this song too. It's so beautiful.
This song must be heard with headphones to appreciate the soft muttering production bubbling through them into ears, lovely song!
Bjork is always the one and only. When you get into her realm you'll never get bored from her creativity.
“Ovule”
[Lyrics]
I have placed a glass egg, above us floating
An oval ovule in a dark blood red void
Carries our digital selves, embracing and kissing
My skin-mud dense by you, I anchor our darks
I anchor our darks
Sleep with one eye open, watching our sub-selves
The keel of our ship, these obstacles are just teaching us
So we can merge even deeper into our own personal mineral
Fuse alloy, ship ahoy
The hostility a broken heart endures
The velocity of that injury is returned to thе world
With the same grin showing teeth
When I was a girl I fеlt love was a building
I marched towards but deadly demonic divorces demolished the ideal
Now with your romantic intelligence, the sensual tenderness
We dissolve old habits and place a glass egg above us floating
In the dark blood red oval void
Our lovemaking avatars in a shell
but deadly demonic divorces demolished the ideal

I wonder if this song is about how menopause destroys your sexuality and self worth when sharing a relationship w a loved one
Fuse alloy, chips ahoy*
I'm just in awe. Her art is just the best.
Heroes without cap
Sometimes I get disappointed that we haven’t met extraterrestrial beings yet, and then I’m all like “oh wait, Bjork exists”
From what I have learned through experience is that there is only one physical world and that's this one, there are no other worlds like this, no planets for us to go walk on, every outside of physical reality is spiritual and there are spiritual entity's there. The expression of artists like Bjork bring that spiritual world into this one through art.
It's really tiring to read these comments everytime.. Her art is so relevant and beautiful because of the way she puts human experiences in it. Allow yourself to feel it
@@brunopereira308 I'm not sure it is relevant but each one of these new songs has a story and great expression of art and creativity, She is a singing walking art. Very unique a innocent sole.
Go to the fashion week, and you will see a lot of extraterrestrial life.

Visionary opinion: this is one of her most beautiful music videos ever!!!
Couldn't agree more
Your fake comments make me sick
Definitely
Ok but why is your opinion visionary lol
you mean you had a thought about Bjork wriggling in a costume.
This song is a treat to my ears. Never heard music like this before.
As a drummer I hold björk's beats as part of a north star that guides my playing. In this song it is like the beat is being dug up from the earth in pieces, revealing a bit more as it is unearthed, with some parts lost to time.
Wow amazing description
Ahh thats so beautiful and feels so accurate
One of her best songs overall , timeless sounds !
You mean ovule all
interesting that there is no reverb in the vocal here, but the single version has it. she has done it before with biophilia.
Also with Utopia! It's kinda a weird habit she has
Maybe to sound more theatrical (?) It's kinda like some musical movies where the "movie" version has more raw almost like speaking vocals and then the "soundtrack" version is has more melodic vocals with reverb, she did a very noticeable example of this in Hyperballad's music video.
her voice is still sounding fantastic hope she tours it.
@@jobananas3052 She's absolutely certain to.
Omg I can't unhear this now
Björk's videos are always extremely creative and original...
I'm contemporary with Björk's art 🙏🏻💚🙌🏻. And at 50 years of age, I am grateful to know that She still renews my heart and mind through her art. Thank you Björk 😘

Björk stands in a different category from all else. Always exceptional.
Bjork has become a genre on its own... On her own league
I think this is my favourite björk song ever???
queen of slightly off-key harmonies and crazy costumes 👠😍
"slightly off-key" 😭😭
It’s called dissonance hunty
and of an amazing voice
Nah, that was hella off-key. lol Even more so than Atopos.
*This comment is chaotic in itself, thus, Björk would love this. Lol*
I like how she is going into a more raw and diy influence of electronic music like gabber in addition to the fancy subgenres like ambient and experimental.
This is the most aesthetic parfume commercial I've ever seen❤️🔥🖤🧱🐦🔥😩
These are stunning visuals. You just keep evolving. Brilliant.
This reminds me of "New World" and "Who Is It", and it's beautiful. One of her best singles to date.
Wow perfect way of putting it I can totally hear what you mean
I also felt a touch of All Neon Like
Yeeesssss!!!! It also reminds me of "Cosmogony" with some EVEN improved epic trumpets from 'Volta'. It really feels like hope
reminds me of Domestica
Manager: how creative you wanna be this time?
Bjork: YES (again)
I’m so happy and thankful because not every person can feel Björk’s art
@SHAKESPEAR alright Tool fan
Same people don't understand real music 🤭😒
@SHAKESPEAR ME AF
Great example here of an elitism that has empowered the singer's unfocused work after Vulnicura.
it feels like Björk is making music from *inside* the universe and i love it so much
I'm so glad artists still exist in an era that constantly downplay art because people refuse to open themselves to it, refuse to have a dialogue with it.
Her new sounds are absolutely out of this world and powerful.
Fossora will become my favorite album and era, I'm astonished and amazed by all of this beauty. Thanks again Björk, love from Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤️
This is like her whole discography in one song
from post-punk days to today, she's always innovating. Never a dull day with her music
0:58 even she's keeping an eye for selener
The video is absolutely gorgeous, I expect no less from Nick Knight. I wasn't sold on the song itself until I listened to it on Tidal. I think the audio in this video is off from sound compression because its really beautiful on a hi fi streaming service. For those unsure maybe give it another listen on a streaming service and decide.
thanks for the tip as i think the mix here is unbalanced, and no doubt she doesn't release something badly mixed
this also happened with the losss video 😭 what is with björk and her music clips audio? lol
It is a different mix from the album version on streaming services, curious..
This woman is literally one of the few artists that isn’t controlled and is really saying meaningful and impactful lyrics. This is ingenious. Im nearly speechless 😶 😢. So refreshing to hear when artists are being mirror images of each other..
I remember meeting her in Iceland and she was amazing. Everyone says she's rude. She wasn't to me. We even went for drinks
she's doing a concert in Perth where I'm from and i'm going some of my parents friends are friends with Bjork her self
Björk is the best artist to ever walk on earth and that’s a fact.
i thought this was a return to themes of Biophilia with the fungal/vegetative scenery but honestly this is her like never before. i can't wait to hear all of Fossora!!

This is one of the first bjork songs I've listened... And this resonated to me so much, that I listen to it daily.
Imagine being this innovative & creative. Like it’s crazy bruh. 🤯
i felt a touch of All Neon Like and Medulla harmonies! and how it links back to The Gate, where she sings her silhouette is OVAL
I was lucky enough to see her in The Sugarcubes on February 14, 1990, this was in Phoenix, it was a cold night but hot and steamy inside. People were throwing clothes on the stage and her and other band members would put them on. The energy and heat in the ballroom and her platform sneakers, it was unforgettable. I melt away into her soul with every song! She makes life worth living. 💕🧸🍯🐝
Oh, The Sugarcubes were wonderful!
Love The Sugarcubes and wanted to see them so bad back then. Sigh. Lucky!
Björk makes me fall in love with music. She keeps it refreshing and unpredictable in our bland world. She’s bright, bold, beautiful star ⭐️❤✨✨✨
a world without such creativity is a grey world.
This is easily some of Bjork's best material since Medulla. I may now have to place a pre-order for the vinyl...
Vulnicura is a strong album, to my ears!
I love how she keeps pushing musicality and rhythm as far as possible from the classic "pop" song structure, yet maintaining it within a frame in which one can get into all the elements of the composition; it's like everything is slightly shifted. Such an amazing musician and producer.
Also, these reggaeton drums are making me throw it back as if it was a Bad Bunny song lol
my boyfriend introduced me to björk with the song “like someone in love” and i just fell in love with her. björk is amazing.

I remember that I always anticipated her music videos on MTV in the 90's, they're so mesmerizing.
Her Artistry is so Unique, no other Musical Artist comes close.
Its impossible just listen this, you just have to sing with her
I am so here for this album, I cannot wait to hear the rest. I have loved how unconventional these later albums are. These two single so far I have listened to on repeat
