Now we're getting new hope, a vision of humanity as an interconnected entity, a vision of hope as a muscle that allows us to connect
I feel like this album is going to have a lot of pandemic emotions about the need for connection. The fungus theme seems to imply so as well, seeing as mycelia networks can span great distances while remaining interconnected amd communicative. Nothing is unintentional with bjork, shes very particular and it shows
I love the mushroom theme with the theme of connection and the deepening of it. Going into the light too hard - singularly- instead of leaning towards another “plant” as a way to disconnect is an interesting contemplation.
Me too lol. After like three days, it finally hit the spot and now I know the whole song by heart. With the context of the rest of the album, it's so perfect.

Especially as a big percentage of these are covered by this single line. Bjork has been in the business for over 30 years and yet she achieves artistic qualities unseen by any artist to this day. There is no artist far and wide who challenges artistic boundaries in such a way. She is more important than ever in the music culture.
Well, there's Shiina Ringo, who I consider the most versatile female composer on the planet, but she has also been influenced a little by Bjork in a general and visual way.
I love this song. At this point in her career, she could sing about a vacuum cleaner and still make it sound awesome. Biophilia, Vulcurina, Vespertine and Homogenic are my absolute fav albums.
there are, but she has lots of money so can produce these expensive projects and ideas, while others may stay try to themselves and include others, rather than trying to be so original, and one of a kind, like you are a special force, it is all about her, not the listener.

I like the lyrics about resonance being the area where we do connect. Like we can be multi-faceted, and we can find resonance between any of our facets and any of someone else's. A very positive message.
Björk looks like she’s having so much fun, an icon an inspiration to still love what you do after nearly 30 years of just being herself in her music💙 So happy for her honestly!
amazing that in her song she says that hope can connect, and when i heard the song for the first time, in a superficial way i found the song to be very disjointed, but i tried to understand it better using the "faith" that i would like the song at some point moment, and I really realized now that the song has a lot more connection than I expected. 😂
Bjork's whole discography is imply a work of art. And her voice quality doesn't seem to change. She is one of a kind, a legend! Can't wait for Sept 30.
I've noticed a strange pattern in my life. When I feel lost on my journey, her music brings me back to me. I thank the Universe for such a gift, that is "Björk". She is a true example of doing what you love and following your Heart. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
This is exactly what I recently noticed. I've felt completely outside of myself for the past few months and lately I've been reconnecting with her music and finding my way back to myself. Her music, her art, awakens and guides me like no one else.
My process with a new Björk song is to generally take it all in, expecting to feel a little lost trying to keep up with where one round ends as the next one begins… listening to her voice and the music. This time around, thanks to the lyrics being front and center with the visuals, I got to fully take in the message as well. What a delicious combination. After the first listen, I knew it was a song I’d love once I fully understood the flow. After a week with the song, I am fully in tune with the flow and LOVE IT! I appreciate that Björk creates how she does and doesn’t abandon what her vision is with her music. Most music artist out create music that is easy to digest with little to no effort. I love that it’s an adventure with Björk’s music. Just like with artist who make standard-arranged music, there are songs I love, and songs I don’t connect with. What sets Björk apart for me, is there is a reward system in experiencing the journey in listening to her music that I don’t get with anyone else. Thanks Björk. Also, the message of this song, SO ON IT… and captures exactly how I have felt consciously since 2020. We are stronger together, but it takes effort to work through the differences… but getting through that only proves our strength.
anyone saying this "doesn't look like her" clearly doesn't understand björk. she has ALWAYS been transformative- turning herself into a bear, a robot, a bird, a fawn, a VOLCANO. but why does a drag lash and a different brow shape make everyone freak out? did y'all miss the entire utopia era?? women in music are so scrutinized visually in every aspect- why can't you respect and accept the art for what it is? she's been making music for 50 years. she has more than earned the eccentricity and respect that male musicians get automatically for being men. björk is a musical genius who constantly transcends her own body for the sake of expression- haven't y'all learned that by now?
huh? i've been listening to bjork for more than 10 years now and she 100% looks different than usual here. youre reading wayyyyy too deep into this shit

@@disposable3167 I was thinking the same. I actually thought they had hired another artist to lip sync her music for half the video before realizing it was actually björk 😳
It's wonderfull to see her smiling and dancing again, after all this pain and broken heart because of the breakup. I feel here a little bit of "Alarm Call" vibes, and a little bit of "Volta" vibes and a little bit of "Biophilia" vibes. I have an advice to all the people that don't like it, go somewhere else, there is enough music out there, everyone can find something for themselves. For me, personally that song gives life. I'm struggle with depression and I find a lot of light, and positivity in this song. I think it's her most joyfulness song since "Mouth's Cradle" or since "Alarm Call". I want to go to that party. She's totally fearlessness, when it comes to her art.
Very well said. I love this song. If you're into running, today, I went running and when it hits the fast part at the end I synced my steps to the beat and felt like I was raving and smiling like Bjork in the video. Highly recommend sweating to the song.
(Sorry, I'm not a native English-speaker, you'll probably find mistakes here) I hope you beat your depression, it takes time and strength and support from the surrounding people. And I hope you can get the professional help we all need sometimes, and the strength needed to ask for help too. I've been really stubborn and so scared in the past because of not asking for help when needed. Wasted time can feel like... bitterness, yes, but when you learn from all that you feel so powerful, thankful and easy... Despite being included in Vulnicura, I also recommend "Atom dance": it is about going through very rough shit AND little by little you start feeling better. Let's let those atoms laugh again ❤️
Thank you so much Björk. I'm at a very difficult time in my life and your song just helped me get a little farther from the edge. I'll forever be grateful for what you brought me.
Finally, your new music. Every time is an incredible pleasure. The marriage of clarinet and electronic music is something delightful. I can't wait to hear the next releases.
I love the fact that she portrays her music using words even from other languages and fits perfect each time! Atopos (άτοπος) in Greek is a word used to describe someone/something which is contrary to logic, which does not fit the case at.
She has been gradually shedding off her human form, proving she is not of this earth ♥️♥️♥️ Her art is going to be appreciated by distant generations to come
@@moomoocowsly they're not aliens 😭 they're like "fungi". This song, and the entire Fessora album will be about what the world has been through with the pandemic and social distancing.
I only recently discovered Bjork after having listened primarily to mainstream rock since the 1960's. I am very impressed by her musical versatility, captivating visuals and persona. Bjork's rhythms and instrumentation are extraordinary; the latter especially so in part owing no obvious reliance on the electric guitar and bass. I'm rapidly becoming a fan of this remarkably creative artist in spite of sometimes requiring multiple listens to gain full appreciation.
The raggaeton-like rhythm with the baroque bass clarinets creates such an interesting landscape for the lyrics. The directness of the words is so relevant to the frankness many of us found during the pandemic. That expodited rush toward closeness of conclusion of connections. I love the ever-present electric hum behind everything. This album is already starting to spread its spores in my head.
@@nikoladenis2186 Rather for us in LATAM, the Gabber base of the beginning could be similar to the dembow, if you are not very involved in the world of electro styles in Europe if it generates confusion, the Gabber could be a "lowered" version, as we know it. , of the most basic Techno sequences. I feel like this album is going to have a lot of pandemic emotions about the need for connection. The fungus theme seems to imply so as well, seeing as mycelia networks can span great distances while remaining interconnected amd communicative. Nothing is unintentional with bjork, shes very particular and it shows
i feel it but i love all the art made in related to the pandemic cuz connection is a beautiful thing just like Touch.

Only Bjork can take a reggaeton rhythm and make it sound as something out of this world
Yeeesssss
Dark reggaeton
This aint reggaeton at all though
YES!!!! this is the comment I was looking for, OMG, Bjork has had a connection with latam since de 90s (specially brazilian musicians in London) it's a genuine connection with artists that leave an imprint in the work, I'm thinking Arca and Rosalia...
@@e.g.evermore4390 Thanks for the comment, but I didn't say that this is reggaeton, I said that she took the rhythm (and this is obvious), and make it 'a la Björk', something totally different, mixed with dark techno.
Yeah, same. Music is powerful connector!
Well it doesn't...
