My experience: I started taking this three days ago. I’m intermediate fasting right now, so I do the dose around 2pm. On day one, I took 1tsp, no change or noticeable difference. Day 2, I increased the dosage to 2tsp. Had so much energy and felt very focused. There was no crash after. I started with small dosages due to the comments about needing to use the bathroom; I did not have that problem.
Are you still taking the MCT oil? Have you noticed any other differences, weight loss? It doesn’t taking MCT oil during a fast break your fast because it’s so high in calories and fat?
@@HH-gv8mx I do intermittent fasting, so I would have my dose with my meal. I took it for about 30 days. The benefits I experienced (more energy and focus) went away after week 2.

Question. Using the mct oil in a fruit smoothie. Doesn’t the fruit raise your blood sugar increasing insulin. Counteracts the mct benefits of keeping your blood sugar down. Kind of like hitting the gas and brakes at the same time?
That’s a great question. MCT oil is really high in calories and fat. And no matter what any diet tells you, you have to be in a calorie deficit to lose body fat. Adding more fat to my diet, even though it’s healthy fats like avocados and almonds and walnuts and olive oil made me gain weight. I had very little body fat, and was in very good shape as an avid runner and cyclist. But for the past six months, I have not been running like I used to, and have increased weight-bearing exercises and keto diet. Adding all the extra fats made me gain weight quickly within six months. So I’m hesitant to add MCT oil to my coffee. I just feel like it’s adding more calories that I don’t need.
For 2668 consecutive days, I have faithfully consumed my unique blend of bulletproof coffee. This extraordinary concoction consists of a precise combination of brain octane oil, a tablespoon of red palm oil, a tablespoon of coconut oil, and three tablespoons of yak butter. Interestingly, I stumbled upon this recipe through a genuine recommendation from renowned Big wave surfer, Laird Hamilton, featured in a men's health magazine without any ulterior motives. The impact it has had on my life is truly remarkable, as I have shed an astounding 150 pounds and established an exceptional morning routine that I cherish.
From my own experience, I learned the hard way to not start with 1 tablespoon. This caused acid reflux and all kinds of issues. Once I got the acid reflux to calm down, I started with 1/4 tsp for a week or two and then gradually increased every couple of weeks. I’m still not at a tablespoon at this point, but I probably could without the acid reflux from rearing it’s ugly head again ! I also learned to not take it on an empty stomach.
Drink 1-2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar in a glass of water to combat acid reflux. It sounds contradictory, but acid reflux is actually caused by not having strong enough acid in our stomach! I swear it works! If you can't stand the taste, plug your nose while drinking it, then brush your teeth and tongue afterwards. Lol
Great video, except for the part about you mixing it into Oat Milk or Almond Milk - which is super bad for human health, especially gut health! The fiber and sugar in oat milk can cause bloating. If someone has an imbalance in gut bacteria, the bacteria can feed on the soluble fiber and oligosaccharides in oat milk, which can cause fermentation and gas. Many oat milk products contain additives such as artificial sweeteners and vegetable oils, which are both bad for your health - especially vegetable oils, due to them being high in Linoleic Acid (Omega 6), which is highly inflammatory - especially for your gut. Oats also contain harmful lectins, and most of the time, they are also contaminated with gluten. Lectins are proteins and antinutrients in plant foods. Antinutrients are compounds that can interfere with your body's ability to digest and absorb other nutrients. Lectins also cause leaky gut by poking holes in the layer of cells-the mucosa-lining the intestine. Lectins also render cells of the intestinal wall unable to digest and absorb nutrients, and they activate white blood cells, promoting inflammation. Oats contain oxalates, a naturally occurring chemical found in plants. Oxalates cause health issues like kidney stones, joint pain, muscle pain, and urinary tract infections. ALMONDS / ALMOND MILK: As for Almond Milk... Almonds contain cyanide. Cyanide is known for interfering with the body's ability to use oxygen, which can be fatal. Some almond milks contain carrageenan, a thickening agent derived from seaweed that can cause digestive issues, bloating, and even stomach ulcers in some people. Almond milk is a bad source of protein, fat, and nutrients. Almond skin contains lectins. Almonds are also high in oxalates. According to sciencedirect.com, 90.1% of plant-based milks (PBBs) and 95% of almond milks meet the NOVA criteria for "Ultra-processed Foods" because they contain multiple substances not normally used in cooking. Last but not least, there are some environmental concerns about the large amounts of water used to cultivate almonds. Therefore, I would NOT RECOMMEND these MILK ALTERNATIVES as a MD. I would advocate for the use of Full Fat Cow's Milk / Goat Milk / Sheep Milk. Raw cow's milk has been known to increase gut health and decrease lactose sensitivity.

I’m not sure if you believe in the Bible but it states work out your OWN salvation with fear & trembling before God. It does not tell us to work out everyone else’s issues.
Remember, we are all human & are all on that path to becoming our healthiest possible!
Does mct oil breaks the fasting? I'm doing 16/8 but love coffee in the morning I'm drinking it black.
no it does not
@@DrTazMD Yes, it does break the fast
Ox Bile !!! 😝
I just bought a bottle of Coconut MCT oil at the grocery store. When I got home, I couldn’t wait to open it and of course there was no smell, but then I look at the ingredients, it says, organic coconut oil. I already have regular organic coconut oil. I wanted the MCTs!! I think I will
stick with the Ghee. How does someone get this MCT oil? I’ll ask Siri. 😂
there are stand alone mct oils - you can use ghee but would do a 1/4 tsp
Ghee raises your OxLDL, avoid it if you can.
MCT is exracted from either coconut or palm oil. And, it is taste-free and smell-free.
That’s what MCT oil is ;) it’s extracted from coconut oil. ❤
Does my age make a difference or how much im over weight matter?
yes
Why did you ruin your video with the horrible background music?
MCT oil is really high in calories and fat. And no matter what any diet tells you, you have to be in a calorie deficit to lose body fat. Adding more fat to my diet, even though it’s healthy fats like avocados and almonds and walnuts and olive oil made me gain weight. So I’m hesitant to add MCT oil to my coffee. I just feel like it’s adding more calories that I don’t need.
Mct oil is metabolised directly in your liver thus providing a very fast energy boost and helps kick start ketosis just use it in moderation and try omad or intermittentfasting. It really helps me lose weight fast. C8 is the best
I’ve heard not to take it during fasting. And the only reason I think I’d wanna take it is to get a little bit of that energy to prolong my fast so I can keep going and maybe get a workout in. When I do those longer fast past 17 hours I start to really drop off the map and not have energy to work out. Or even go for a walk. So I’m wondering if that would be a good time to take the MCT oil with a little bit of coffee so I can get through a longer fasted workout.@@raymondjackson1208
@@raymondjackson1208do you use MCT oil during your fast or after?
The only times I’ve used MCT oil is putting a splash in my coffee during a fast. Apparently it is supposed to increase your energy. Give your brain healthy fat so you don’t get lightheaded and foggy during a fast. I think it did provide a bit of stable energy to keep going and I didn’t feel hungry. I made it to 30 hrs.@@jenniferhasenstab1406
I replaced my salad oil or dressing with mct instead of adding the additional calories or fat.
