I was there on Friday and didn't even get to all the booths. Thanks for pointing out some of the things I missed. Next year, I'm staying the whole weekend! Awesome Expo!
Great to see an American product with a name derived from Afrikaans, my home language in South Africa. Your Skottle braai's name is derived from the Afrikaans name skottel braai, which we made from old worn down discs from an agricultural machine, pulled behind an agricultural tractor, used to prepare the soil for planting season. Our steel however, is much thicker, heavier and more heat holding than the commercially sold skottel (your Skottle) because the skottel we use is agricultural steel. Greetings.
An ice-maker was one of my first accessory purchases when I bought my T@B 320S. Gotta have ice for some adult beverages 😊 PS. And a little gas campfire. Thx for sharing these links Mandy!
Cool stuff! I wasn't familiar with the Airhead until last week and then I saw it again here. I like that it's footprint is smaller than the one I have. I've also heard that the liquids container can be removed without moving the seat so that the liquids can be removed without exposing the solids compartment. I kind of wish he demo'd that feature because it isn't very clear on their website. Gotta check out those bags from my Aluminess storage boxes.
Airscape Containers by Planetary Designs are incomparable at sealing in flavour and keeping out air, I love mine. Those seat back storage bags are fantastic, unfortunately, here in the UK it would immediately result in a break in and the loss of everything not bolted down! The towels look great too, I'm currently using boat towels, designed to be used as a throw or sarong (though not simultaneously!). In recent years spades became strangely stylised, but I found the Fiskars Gerber NATO Spade/Entrenching Tool to be excellent and it packs down into a pouch small enough to wear on a belt and only weighs 2lbs. In deciding on camp chairs, I went for the Helinox Swivel Chair, as it allows for a wide range of movements in my tent, allowing me to cook on my tent stove or swivel around to access stuff stored under my camp cot without overbalancing or leaning over, both of which put undue stress on fixed frame camp chairs (and I really don't want to fall onto my tent stove!). That collapsible toilet frame was a very neat foldaway unit. It should not be forgotten that Everything Weighs Something, and each item we acquire slowly but surely increases the weight of the camper, van etc!
Thanks for showing these vendors. The bags and coffee press mugs are cool. Not sure about the amo can fire pit. Price point seems a bit high but I must admit I'm in Florida and All I can see is a hose connection and amo can. I do not know the inner workings. Any thoughts on this? Again thanks for sharing 👍
You're welcome! The reason I liked those ammo can fires is because they put out more heat than your traditional propane fire pit, and take up less storage space (which is our biggest problem with the traditional ones). I agree the price point is a bit high, but I thought it was innovative.
I can attest to how well the Snomaster fridges work.. I have been running one in a 4Runner for several years without a single problem. Works great even when the inside temp gets into the 110+ degree range..
Great products for sure. Not a single one of them (other than the glow items) are affordable to the average person. A dish towel for $45 ! An ammo can firepit for $195 !
I love that folding chef knife

Great products for sure. Not a single one of them (other than the glow items) are affordable to the average person.
A dish towel for $45 !

I totally get it! I'm a window shopper and xmas list maker at these shows, LOL
Don’t forget about the $189.99 trash bag. 😂
yo 1:36 Chef Adam from Below Deck!!!!
You know it!
Great video, just wish you included prices...
I understand, its hard because I don't sell the items and the price will vary based on where you buy it.. but I will try to include ballpark figures.
Thanks for sharing. All great ideas but ridiculously priced.
I've noticed a lot of the items at the overland fest tend to be on the pricey side. Not sure why.
Would you like to test SUV Doorstep ?
❤️!
👍🏻❤️
Thanks!
Dang, off-road products have become Gucci and expensive
LOL, Good way to put it :)
The towels seem like a great idea, but talk about sticker shock! Yikes
Ya for sure... most of the items at the expo in general are the top of the line... no generic inexpensive brands for sure.
can you feed your animal glowyourpupup ? help not step in there turds at night
LOL - Funny! But no, I would not recommend that.
