Great video! I have a problem with a part in one of my patches that is sustaining without the pedal and that's not what I want. Can you tell me how to fix that? Thanks so much!
Just subbed! Thanks for your information. Quick question. How would I assign something to a specific key (Let's say middle C)? Let's say I want to assign a cowbell sound so that when I touch the middle C key it plays the cowbell sound. Is there a way to do that?
Hey Scott - super helpful. One additional question - I think read somewhere that I can sustain one performance into the next so I don't have that "dry" moment. Can you help?
It's called Seamless Sound Switching, look for performances with "SSS" on them - it works on the MODX only if the performance has 4 or less parts to it. On Montage it works on all performances.
Hi Scott , as simple as it was , i have been looking for it for a while across all MODX settings, thanks. Do you by chance know how to record modx 7+ sounds like 'Acid'n SpaceAF' ( Syn Comp ) which sound correct with the ARP when you play but sound terrible when you record it. Give it a try with 2 chords that last 1 bar each you will hear what i mean. It like the hard does not work and you hear all notes at the same time Thanks 🙂
One more question which pad you think is best to use for worship I have been trying them all out analog came close but yet still I find it’s sounds rough please if you can give an idea on this more appreciation to you Mr Scott 🎉
Hey Scott, is it possible for you to show us how to to make a droner pad for the montage but it still allows us to play a piano underneath it like the nord can do with its A and B parts?
Scott, This works great. However, when I applied this theory to an expression pedal, it appears to work but the channels that ignore the pedal are now at fixed levels and do not respond to the faders. It would be great to use the faders to control the volume of parts that ignore the pedal. Any suggestions? MODX
Hi Scott! Is there a way to use two of the FC7 pedals to control two different scenes separately? I'm trying to add violins and bells to my piano and control them separately. I can do it with one FC7 pedal but I can only get the second FC7 pedal to control the superknob. I've tried to turn off the superknob and reassign the FC2 without any luck. Is it possible or am I wasting my time? Thanks!
Is it possible to have one note playing continuously? Whilst playing another layer on top of it? Let’s say I have my Pad patch only to play the C note and stay on that note for as long as I want but on top of it I have a piano sound which I can play over it. Hope this makes sense
I can think of a couple ways of doing this. You could have one part containing a pad set to "ignore" the keybed, that sustains on when you play it. Momentarily switch to that part on screen (which puts it into "edit" mode so the keybed will trigger it), and play your "C". Then switch to a different part with the pianos. You can then play the pianos, and the pad playing the "C" will just keep sounding underneath, ignoring the keybed. I haven't tried this to verify, but pretty sure this would work.
This was SO helpful!!! I’ve wanted to turn off the sustain for Hammond sounds since forever!
You sir are a godsend!
I was looking ages for this, I love my MODX and now even more so!
Love the MODX/Montage tips - thanks Scott!
Vert clear and easy to understand. Thank you Scott.
Thanks Scott! you are the best with the MoDX and Montage!! Just what i was looking for!
I always wondered how to accomplish that. Your instructions are to the point, easy to follow and learn. Much thanks!
Excellent tutorial. I was looking for exactly this! Thanks Rich Newschoolpiano
Thank you Scott you did not disappoint me I had to like and subscribe at once really appreciate it millions thanks
Now I want a MODX so I can try that 😀
Excellent explanation.
It's a real do-everything synth. I love it!
Thank you so much, so simple and tricky at the same time ❤
Thanks Scott! Always very useful!
Brilliant!...extremely helpful. Thank you!
Good stuff for us MODx users
All I needed 🎉

MANY THANX!
Yaas, cheers for that 💪
Thank you for video:) May I know how to take a picture of the keyboard screen?
Thanks 🙏

Of course. Set the zone with the cowbell sound so that its upper and lower note limit is middle C. That way, that will play on that one key only.

I honestly couldn't say, but there are so many pads in there, plus it's easy to make your own as well.
@@ScottsSynthStuff wow never knew that could happen on the modx do you have lessons on that 🙏🏾

Hi Scott,
I’m trying to create or simulate a rise and fall of a guitar feedback like in “Barracuda” by Heart on my MODX. Can you guide me?
Thanks

Good day sir how to apply delay like the intro of eye in the sky in modx+ thanks 0:30
Assigning Pedal Volume Control to Performance Parts. Piano on one channel and strings on fader pedal FC 2 how do I do this?
