Really enjoying the videos on these remote beaches of the southeast part of Cape Breton. Also appreciated the lesson on the drumlin. If 2025 is anything like 2024 for content on this channel, we're in for a treat.

I too am certainly looking forward to 2025 , because I’m heading to many places I’ve never even heard of, and definitely never visited. Hoping to discover some new gems. Almost seems like most people here have a top 5 and just keep going to the same 5 places. (I was guilty of this until recently) Happy New Year Wayne!

Thanks for the shout-out, I always love watching your videos. You have inspired me to spend more time traveling around the coast of Nova Scotia visiting the beaches less traveled. My wife and I love getting out and beach combing and huniting for sea glass 🌊.

Sam could be Sam Yackamachuck ( I tried with the spelling). I met Sam when he worked for a large logging operation that was based in that area during the !970's and 80's. While not a professional logger he would lay has hand to most anything that needed to be done. A handy person to have around a logging camp. Always with a smile on his face he would greet you with "How's it going buddy?'

I never new it was called that, I discovered that beach when I was looking at buying some land on Crooked Lake Rd. but the lack of cell service made decide against it. Definitely one of the best kept secrets of the area. Pre-pandemic I don't remember there being a single home there.

Tides that day below. It looks like you were there early afternoon so the tide was probably about halfway out? Tides from Fourchu - Tide Station 00595

So many places to visit in Cape Breton. Would you consider a trip out to St Pauls Island?

    • @CapeBretonBeachLife

It’s a definite possibility! Sounds like the cherry on top. When I first moved here I was given a book as a gift called Memoirs of a Lightkeeper's Son: Life on St. Paul Island - are you familiar?
