thanks so much for all your help, especially your input trim reccomendation! I just got tonex one to specifically run amp sims, and i’m using the boss ir200 for cabs as well as utilizing its effects loop for delay and reverb effects. I am in amp and cab modeling heaven 🙏😇
@@tuenguyen5553 it all depends on how you want to use it. If you are running through headphones or FRFR having cabs off will sound terrible. But it will sound great running through a real guitar cab.
@@JasonSadites nop. If I plug into the computer the sound is ok. Also I have another problem, I have a deluxe reverb amp and no fxloop so I have to use the front panel
@@nlmal4 the problem with tonex is this. You have to have a computer linked to it, and know the software inside out. Why? Well not all frfr speakers will sound good with the standard settings. You have to tweak all sorts of things and do a deep dive. You have a fairly steep learning curve. I really tried but I was thinking??. I want to play guitar not twiddle with software. It won’t be the same for everyone but it was for me. I have two setups now which sound stunning, one an Engl metal master full tube head 499.00 and a 2x12 Engl cab. It sounds stunning even at a whisper as it has the most wonderful inbuilt attenuator , 1 watt, 5 watt, to twenty watt. My second set up is a bluguitar amp1 and bluguitar fatcab both second hand nearly new for 799.00. This set up is more versatile than the first as it can do almost any amp sound at any vol as well. Both have direct recording out to your Daw. I’ve tried everything and this is the best way forward for me. I’ve got the best of both worlds. There is no cheap solution but I don’t think 799.00 for a no corners cut rig which is easy to use is too expensive.
@@Pete_Harris well it may be me but I found it absolutely a fiddlers paradise. Not a guitarist paradise. It sounded rubbish though my headrush speaker, rubbish though my Engl 2x12, yes I had disabled my irs and mucked out with new ones for the headrush and it sounded nothing special. Yes I know there is a deep dive for the eq. I’m really not interested the bloody thing is a guitarist choice paralysis it really is. It’s a time machine of wasting time. Why would I or anyone want to play 100 amps? 1000 cabs? On the bluguitar I get up to say 15 plug it into my fat cab. Everything is easy and sounds phenomenal. Much better than tonex and it’s a hybrid tube amp. Plug in and play. Not plug in waste an hour and play. Keep it simple end of.
@@aliengrey6052 I only use mine for recording and love it so no experience trying to run it for live work. I really rate the Amp 1 and I agree that for live work it's much easier to use and sounds great.

My pleasure and glad the videos are helpful :-)
So...If I purchase an amp+cab capture... tonex woud not be able to switch off the cab...Am I right?
It sounds good for clean and crunch. High gain needs eqs boosters etc to sound good
Thank you!! I've been using headphones and forgot I bypassed ir to try in loop at home. If using with amp do you always bypass ir?
so i assume that bypass and undo that help the tonex one sound better ?

Jason I tried all the video suggestions but I have a background noise like a computer high freq hum. Any suggestion? I change cables, power suply etc
Do you get the same issue when you are not plugged into the computer via USB?

in the newest firmware update this setting is available in the app
@@poronkusema1162 that is correct.
thanks man
You sound so much like Robert Downey Jr it's insane
I need get an Ironman suit to shoot my videos in 😁

Tonex sounds awful full stop. I had one. Got a bluguitar iridium. Much simpler.
What l have to pay for a simpler unit 😊🤔

I think there's a lot of evidence to suggest otherwise! If your Tonex sounds awful then it's user error!
