Pooler's dominance up front ensured the normally barnstorming Gwent man Mike Ruddock having a quiet afternoon. Another victory for the valleys over the Welsh rugby establishment!
I was 19 at the time and watched the game from the piss-soaked East Terrace. Happy days!
Got any Swansea rfc between 1977-82
Back when club rugby in Wales was king... such a shame to see the domestic game in such a state.
As Max Boyce would say - I know as I was there. I like watching a solid pack make the ball available - without it what would the backs do ...
