The Volkswagen Polo has been in the Indian market for a good 10 years now, and with Volkswagen showing no signs for a generation upgrade we are stuck here in India with the Polo 6R aka the Polo MK5. The VW Polo has been upgraded to the BS6 regulations and with that comes a brand new 1.0 TSI engine from the sporty UP! GTI from Europe. The new VW Polo 1.0 TSI Manual is an insane little car to drive and we found it to be consistently better performing than the older Polo GT TSI with the 1.2 TSI and 7-Speed DSG transmission. Lesson for life time - when you made your mind for VW any product i.e. TSI, MPI, TDI ... Never regret. All products are very great. VW offers a package not a feature to advertise. BTW - I'm proud VW owner since 2018 too.

I can so relate to this car, a 2019 comfortline, underpowered but can smoke some with a rev band past 3k rpm. This new one wakes up at 2k rpm itself. A gem of a car really. Only a polo owner can review a polo. Hats off man 😉.
Literally man, this dude provided the best review among all other TH-camrs other thinks like it is a premium hatchback but he showed us real side with premium plus sporty hatchback.

Figo users no offense here. Old Figo was very good in terms of gear shifts, stability, built etc but no outright power ...pulls slowly.and moreover bad looking....on the other hand new Figo came with a bang on power but doesn't have the qualities of old Figo..
Polo wins due to complete package , new Figo still could not make up to market of polo due to ford nightmare experienced by many customers.
Personally I like ford builds and obviously fiat suspension and builds compared to Germans...but german DNA is different yes their signature is quite different. U ll love it or hate it...

Here I am again watching this...This review was just the extra juice required to make a purchase decision. While waiting the delivery I was soothing my heart with this review and now that I was rammed by a truck in rear door, I am still watching this waiting for my car. 6k for the decals even I one door is damaged, you still have to pay for the whole set. Few days to go baby...🥺

Nope. They have changed the DSG for a Torque Converter. We won't see another DSG anytime soon in the segment according to our sources

I too agree..Please never compare that fantastic engineered car with this one.It is also great though.Riding a GT-TSI in Sports mode will make one feel like they are in some expensive Sports car.No offence,but comparing this with that legend is not fair.
@@ManojKumar39 I agree to u with bows brother. I have driven my friend's Vento Highline Plus Tsi DSG. The feel the car gives you is mindboggling. The power with which it accelerates mainly when I overtake all other cars ahead of mine, the sound of the acceleration alongwith that, the steering response and its sexy smooth feel on the hand... Trust me I had a race, a kind of a hot pursuit with a Kia seltos DCT, that car also had amazing pick up, have to admit... that car too came overtaking all other cars coming behind me and reached me, and then started making attempts to overtake me, but what I did is I just let that car come to my side and get along with me, along the same horizontal line, ( actually I also wanted to test the Seltos which was new at that time and was on the top of all trends ) and then when it was expectantly going on, pacing to drive past me, I instantly put the car onto Sport Mode and pushed the paddle to its full depth, and trust me bro, that car also continued its aggression for a noteworthy few seconds but just couldn't get ahead of me.. and finally got behind and I was in front of it.

Bro tell me the diff b/w highline AT and GT tsi.
There's no apparent difference between the Highline AT and GT TSI. The changes are mainly cosmetic. The car featured in the video had the GT Spoiler at the back which was added later on. The GT TSI gets the spoiler as standard along with GT badging.
@@TheDriversHub The Highline AT actually offers more for a much lesser price. These include a front armrest, rear AC vent and two remote keys which are absent in GT. The GT gets a rear spoiler and Gt badging which is absent in Highline AT. When compared, it is obvious that the Highline AT benefits more and is priced almost a lakh cheaper than the GT. Save the lakh, get the GT badges and stickers additionally (Will totally cost around 3.5k) and still have a heft of money saved. Be wise.

The setting of the DSG in the drag race was TC OFF along with manual control.

Flash Red is a very sporty colour but Sunset Red is also quite good looking. We would suggest Sunset Red as it is new and unique at the moment. And please don't get any stickers, this was a test drive vehicle so it had stickers for marketing purposes 🤣.
The Drivers Hub , Thanks for the response and suggestion, the dealership said for TSI Edition there are 5 accessories included in the kit, (that transforms Highline plus MT into TSI Edition and reduces price by 17k) that honeycomb pattern sticker, TSI sticker, roof wrap, spoiler and orvm cover in black, so will ask them not to paste those stickers...and just go for remaining 3 accessories, cheers

The manual gearbox. The Torque Converter just isn't that snappy anymore and the manual is much more fun to drive!

This video is moreover towards promoting 1.0 tsi but matter of fact is 1.2 tsi still rocks with DSG.. Coz first VW discontinued the DSG and turned to Torque converter due to input costs as DSG was an expensive affair for them... And ya second the other reason is obviously the DSG develops issues in 0.01 percent of total cars...But that's so negligible.... So DSG still rocks.. Dont go by this silly drag race.. If you're getting a good pre-owned 1.2 Gt tsi, go for it...!

How much better is the fuel economy? When I gave the test drive, it was showing around 7.5kmpl( I drove 5-6kms ). Did you check?

U can't know the exact mileage with a 5-6 km test drive
I got 18 .5 kmpl amazing mileage
If you kept going, 1.2 will catch up and beat the 1.0 litre easily. Secondly the in gear acceleration of 1.2 will be better than 1.0 tsi , so in real world overtaking manevour s 1.2 should still beat it.
I am lucky my Polo 1.5TDI can beat these both in real world.
That's about right i agree BUT as we know they're all performance oriented machines. I dont think any of us will have any problem keeping them in the powerband, right ? And in that aspect the tables turn heavily, it goes like : 1.0 TSI > 1.2 TSI > 1.5 TDI

Hey Bibin! The Ex-showroom price is around 9.59 lacs. On Road Price varies state to state to so we are guessing anywhere between 10 - 10.5 lacs.

In theory you should get a 3-4 kmpl better than the GT TSI 1.2. The 3 Cylinder 1.0 TSI is much more economical and since it has a 6th gear for cruising, the mileage on highway is really great. We cannot give any accurate data on the economy because we were mainly doing performance testing 😅
1liter engine which is 3 cylender. And no more dsg which one have 7 speed gear that less power. So less power then before. Don't telling lie. It's not a performenc orianted car

Lame. Performance boost with air filter and intake manifold is just 5bhp gain not do abe in the polo gt without remapping the ecu. Drag race was complete crap then need better driver behind the wheel.. This is promo video nothing more. New GT they have reduced the torque to suit more female drivers. I own a bs4 GT and test drove the latest also.. Those who don't know abt cars will def enjoy this..
