    Great tips. You are proof that protective style can be used wisely.. Thanks for sharing. I see comments about people telling you want to do just because they see your hair length but don't care to know how you did it.. Some said why don't you straighten your hair so they can see the length, some ask why you use weave since your hair is long... Amazing people..
    .........Please do what you feel right for your hair...you hair, your personal business..

    Gorgeous hair!! Your hair has grown so much ova the past 2years can't wait till you flat iron it.....keep the natural hairstyles coming.......I have been watching your videos since day one and I am currently wearing weaves as my protective styles to grow my hair out as well so you are definitely my motivation lol.

    8 years later, I still come back to this upload as a reference when I take take sew ins or my braids under my wigs...the oil prepoo helps the braids unravel more easily and the shed hair to slide out easier without feeling like it's tangling and pulling.

    wow, what a great video. i am a transitioning 4b/c hair type and this helped so much with retaining length and how to properly take down braids after a sew in. thanks so much!

    @katelyn vickers I sure do in my wash routine.. you'll see in the video I say I continue into my regular wash routine, so that's when I whip out the shampoo. I already have a couple videos on my wash routine so I didn't feel the need to repeat that in this video..you can check those videos out to see what I do though. :)

    Great video! Very informative! Definitely have to try the apple cider vinegar for detangling!

  • @pinkc8730
    @pinkc8730 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Suggestion on detangling hair after removing a weave is to use a spray in detangler (the one for kids works good for me) let it soak for about 5 to 10 minutes, gently massage, then begin combing through.

    • @keishanista
      @keishanista  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      kim ciccone I love that suggestion !
      I'll have to give it a try :)

    • @pinkc8730
      @pinkc8730 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope it works for all who try it!! I did have some hair loss when combing through BUT, not even close to the amount I had experienced in times past.

  • @nythebest1
    @nythebest1 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you so much for this video. Every single time I remove my weaves, I find that I have soooo much shed hair once everything is detangled...I'm going to give your methods a try to see if I will retain more length. Thanks again :)

    I love that animal print scarf. When taking my sew ins down it takes me forever. Then it takes another hour to wash it. Sometimes I just want to shave my head

      This literally made me laugh out loud. LOL. I already know how you feel girl ! It was such a beautiful relief and change taking down the 10min unit. It definitely saved a lot of time from my usual takedown day long "productions" so I was beyond grateful lol.

    great video. I am just wondering why you dont use an enclosure instead of having a leave out? That way you would have 100% protection for your hair. I'm not trolling you...I am just wondering.

  • @queadenorah
    @queadenorah 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    can you talk about your natural hair more, it look like you jumped from shoulder length to waist length so fast a haha. I watch all your videos, do you think your hair grew because of your diet, protective styling, biotin or hairfinity use, drinking water? I know you can't really speed up hair growth but it would be nice to know if you're consistent with hair routines =]

    • @keishanista
      @keishanista  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've been relaxer-free for 6-7 years but I definitely was not educated on how to care for or grow out my natural hair..so I was basically damaging it for 6-7 years too (-_-) lol.
      So I've only been on a healthy hair journey for a little over 2 years.
