    GOALS! I wore wigs for 6 months and saw so much growth and health improvement. I'm so inspired by your hair journey. Mid Back Length is the goal!

    Hello Keisha... This was such a great natural hair update in between protective styling. Protective styling is Key to maintaining Natural hairs longevity & health. Thank you for explaining the depths & importance of Detangling & remaining Patience while in the process. Your natural hair has come a long way & it's so healthy, long, & thick. Just overall beautiful 4c texture hair is the best in my opinion. We have the same hair texture I'm mid back length, & you are the only person I can Trust hair advice wise & I simply want to Thank you for all of your Knowledge & having self knowledge. It's all about trials & errors. Love you Ke, stay Gorgeous!!! 😘

      +Katrina Dunston This was so amazing, I thank & appreciate you. I do try a great deal to be as detailed as possible because I think it's worth it..Some things are not as self explanatory as they seem and my goal is to help any one avoid the unnecessary setbacks I went through in my hair journey. Thank you so very much for your beautiful and generous words . They are truly inspiring and appreciated. Xo

    Yaaasssss to all that growth!!!! I'm soooooo happy for you!!!! Since I started wearing a closure my stylist takes out my installs and she does not take enough time to detangle my hair I know I lose more than I need to. It's upsetting but I can't take out the closure by myself. I can't wait for part 2!!! I always look forward to your videos...I always learn something new. xoxo

    • @keishanista
      @keishanista  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +MsAvalon25 Thank you beautiful !! Is there any way you could have a friend help you so that you could undo your braids & detangle for yourself?? I would hate for you to have to deal with unnecessary breakage just for the sake of it.
      But thank you, I'm so glad they could be helpful..pt 2 coming next week :)

    • @MsAvalon25
      @MsAvalon25 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      keishanista88 Unfortunately not. I used to have my boyfriend do it before I started wearing closures now I'm afraid he will cut the closure and since I wear silk closures you know those are too expensive to only use once. I think I'm going to have my stylist take it out the night before so I can go back to detangling it myself. Thanks though.
      They really are. Woop can't wait :-)

    I just want to say thank you! You saved my hair! Last time I took my weave out, I went straight in the shower and as soon as the water hit my head, it became matted and huge clumps of my hair fell out :( setting me back on my hair growth. This time I followed your two videos and I was shocked at how beautiful and full my hair was after looking after it carefully by your instruction! + minimal hair breakage! Thank you! XXXX

    I've only had a sew in for 8 months. I have a question for you. I had four wefts sewn in and I took them out every two months. Even though I washed it while I had it in, the hair dresser never washed it when she took it out before installing the wefts again. So, I decided to take my sew in out on my own before the appointment and wash and condition it. I noticed, after 8 months, it was shorter and thinner. It was at my bra and now it is at my collar bone. Now I've been going through a divorce and have had a lot of stress, but I don't know if that is the reason. I also didn't know I had to wrap it at night. My hair is naturally curly and I'm mixed, so it is fine but I have/had a lot of it. How could this happen? I only had her install two wefts towards the crown this time and leave the bottom alone where the thinning is. Do you have any thoughts? Also, how can I repair the hair now? I am taking biotin and multivitamins now.

    Having your sew in for 3 months with the closure, did your closure need to be retightened or was it good the whole 3 months. I've never worn one before, but you really inspire me to try it out.

    • @LadyK007
      @LadyK007 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Auragirl86 hi! how do you care for your hair with the closure? do you find washing your hair under the closure difficult? thank you

    • @keishanista
      @keishanista  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Shae Twizzlers My closure started to push back after a month due to new growth, so you would want to retighten it if you plan on wearing past 4-5 weeks or just remove it at that time. (So you can imagine why I'm wearing this bandana after 12 weeks) I found having a closure would mean being a little more high maintenance as far as having to get it re done to make it look natural although I never did just bc I was lazy and didn't mind wearing hair wraps to cover it. Hope this helps !

    • @keishanista
      @keishanista  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Senegalese629 Hey love, I would say it's a bit more difficult to wash my hair underneath the closure. Of course it's not going to be as thorough as when your hair is out, but I would still use my applicator to apply shampoo and leave-in conditioner and make it work the best I could. :)

    Hi. how long did it take to grow your hair this long..? I ask because I've been natural for two yrs this December. I use not heat at all, wash twice a week in the summer and once a week during he late fall and winter months. I pre-poo with conditioner each time before wash my hair. Finally, I only moisturize and twist; so no heat damage and snip ends every 6 months if necessary, co wash with conditioner; shampoo causes my hair to feel striped and tangled immediately.

    • @antoinique_xo
      @antoinique_xo 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be the type of shampoo that you use . Try using non-sulfate shampoo; if you already use a non-sulfate shampoo, try switching you shampoo brand. And everyone hair is different so it might take you a shorter or longer amount of time that it did for her.

    • @mamafylees3344
      @mamafylees3344 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. For the most part I only co wash; shampoo maybe every threr months. However I bought a new shampoo and the oil I'll be buying in a few days is castor oil, olive oil causes my hair to knot instantly.

    Hello , I am natural and wear sew ins frequently. I have fine 4b hair that looks thick natural and thin straight. When I was texlaxing years ago I noticed my hair was longer and thick. My hair is thin at the top and longer in the back. I don't like it natural because it's difficult to manage and detangle, and as a natural my hair still is thin so it's not pretty nature..I'm thinking maybe the weaves are thinning it out but sometimes they thicken my hair. I'm contemplating on whether to texlax and wear clip ins deep condition weekly, or continue to wear weaves. I want it to be thicker and longer so that I can wear it out confidently. Please help I'm in Maryland but can't afford Reniece.

    Coconut and olive oils both make my hair feel stiff and crunchy :( I only like Argan oil.

    Keisha I always wanted to ask you if those are your eyelashes. If so...I hate you. If they're not your eyes are so bright and pretty and I still hate you lol. And that's crazy what you mentioned about the coconut oil vs olive oil. I am the exact opposite....olive oil is my holy grail while coconut oil makes it crunchy and weird. I wonder why that is.
