We live in a society divided by polarized information sources. As long as the “news” serves an agenda on either side we will continue to have separate versions of what is held to be true. We desperately need independent, qualified, and supported journalists. I like Matt’s centrist approach. We have to come together and listen to each other to progress our society.

Check out this campaign plan for POTUS 2024
I want to assume you havent watched Pushing Forward or the Initiative Statement on my channel. This absolutely is an effort to minimize govt and give the power to the people. Of course we both know the govt doesnt control anything, the ultra wealthy/corporations do. The horse and pony show is just that.
The plan is to secure the mineral rights of our land for the prosperity of all people by first establishing user data rights, putting a metering system into all internet devices to tax data collection and offset income taxes and homestead property taxes, then use that as a model for all natural resources and fully enable UBI, free healthcare, everything.
End dogmatic reasoning and release all historical, e.t., scientific data, etc. Forgive all non violent crime, and give ability to appeal all others.
Rewrite the law books to eliminate most laws and place the citizen at the top of the pyramid. Like what I say about biden being a fraud and supporting unions, if laws were written in favor of the citizen the corporations would have to barter for us, not the other way around.
In attempt to prevent my assassination I implement a hemp revolution to clean the air and water and repair soil biomes, healing the environment and create a raw material and economic boom, pushing material sciences to 3-D printing using fibrous hemp resins to make lightweight building structures stronger than steel for the construction of green cities, subterranean cities and space shuttles and stations, fast forwarding us into a true Space Age which will allow the ultra wealthy to begin harvesting outer space much sooner to create the first quadrillionaires, etc. Earths resources are limited, they cant do it here. Etc, etc.
In any event Im done watching this shit show and am risking my life to make it change. F*** em all, its do or die. Wish us luck.

Their message is of basic Marxist dogma, which is that the rights and beliefs and values of the individual are irrelevant and unimportant, because it's your group identity that matters! You must behave as your group is SUPPOSED to behave. It's why Biden made the comment, "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black"! It's why the left is pushing the "1619 Project" and "critical race theory", both of which "indoctrinate and condition" everyone to view yourself as either a member of the "non-white victim class", or the "evil, racist, white, oppressor class", and they promote the ridiculous notion that "ALL white people are privileged", and "all black and brown people are oppressed victims, bar none in either category"!
⁉️ They INSIST that YOU and I accept the notion that we are merely cogs in our superficial, race-based identity group, and that we MUST all think alike! The goal is to dupe white people into agreeing to hand over our basic civil liberties, while teaching "brown people" to HATE US because we belong to the evil, white identity group! 😖😩😡

There are no more racist conservatives than liberals, that is what we are told to believe. The biggest difference is conservative racists tend to be brasher as where liberal racists tends to be more underhanded. Biden, a democrat fought for segregation for 40 years, called blacks super predators. JFK wouldn't allow Sammie at his wedding because he was in an interracial relationship. Your political standing does not dictate whether you're fine with another person's skin tone or ethnic background and both sides of the conversation could stand to learn how to differentiate between this.

I’m only using “BLM” as an example because it’s so obvious.
Virtue solves nothing. Look at me I have a BLM sticker on my football helmet, I’m helping”, “Look at him he has a BLM sticker on his football helmet, he’s helping.” In reality that sticker did nothing and solved nothing, that’s virtue being corrupted.
Same thing goes for the people going to a rally, they aren’t there to solve the issue, they are there to show that they are there on social media. Hey they might have got a free T-shirt though.
Integrity would be if you think BLM has a point, stopping what you are doing, researching the issue, coming up with a solution and working to get the solution taken care off.

Get downtrodden "whites" (supposed to be the chosen people, what happened?!) riled up against anyone different, anyone but the power elite actually responsible for their lot. Tribalism. Scapegoating. Distraction. Control. Easy peasy.
Socialists/Leftists are the ones who have been canceled, all around the world. Leftists are barely becoming part of the conversation now only because the claims of capitalism have become so outrageously laughable next to reality. Unfortunately, unless we get off fossil fuels (what modern capitalism is built on) and go back to making/growing only what we need, it's likely too late to have a viable future on the planet anyway.

I'll say this. I agree with those profound words. I understand them from more mathematical sense, economic sense, game theoretic sense, and almost common sense. Short-term temptation and quick fixes can satiate in the short-term but can be costly in the long run, and you can predict that you will pay the price in the long run.
I also understand the short-term goals from biological evolution, and that long-term investment and payoff -- delayed gratification -- is even one of the unique things about the evolution of the human brain. (Dr. Robert Sapolsky does a great job of teaching the biology of delayed gratification and the dopamine system.)
Here's the thing. I'm an atheist and all of the above levels are understanding are scientific and mathematical. But, I do understand the value of the religion in putting forward similar concepts. Though they may come from a different place and presented in a different context, and may have come about for many lifetimes of noting what works and what doesn't and writing them down, and referring to them as being natural "law" or "God's word", all makes sense in this context. So, it's all given me an appreciation for the value of religion in similar contexts. We may disagree on the fundamentals and basis, but they converge on some similar rules, and I've learned to translate between domains.

I honestly believe that the reason why there is so much aggression in regards to politics is because so many have projected themselves on to their representatives. Regardless of how much or how little the face of their political party actually embodies their values, that projection alone allows them to see those leaders as they wish them to be. Our egos get so caught up on this that when that leader is challenged it feels as though, we, ourselves are being challenged or attacked and so we become ultra defensive in a bizarre fight or flight mode. We see this typically when our personal ideals are challenged, we often go into a denial of sorts and refuse to accept that we are wrong with presented with logical and sound evidence. It all boils down to ego and transference.

Matthew McConaughey is an extraordinarily courageous actor to step out and own his beliefs and his positions. And have you noticed that he never denigrates anybody who believes otherwise? He is a “live and let live” kind of guy. And that is a refreshing take in Hollywood, where the majority of actors are too concerned about ever working again if they are not seen to be on the correct side in socio-political matters. Would that more actors were independent thinkers who didn’t reduce those on the political right as nothing but fringe lunatics. Did actors ever once question their own assumptions and challenge screenwriters to give them honest scripts, instead of the tripe we are routinely served up ... now that would be some real honesty! And that I could really get behind and respect.
