I own a 12.9 iPad and a iPad Air, thickness is really a useless matrix because outside of Apple Store, I have never ever see a single iPad not use inside a case! no point to argue! it is simply THE TRUTH!

@@mracer8 The problem was that the 12.9" iPad Pro with the keyboard case was noticeably heavier and thicker than the 13" Macbook Air. The latest update now makes them on par in weight and thickness, which finally makes this a viable alternative to the Air (with more power, a much better screen, and touch capability).
@@mracer8tf i talking bout, my entire household uses it caseless, plus anybody who uses magic keyboard uses it caseless when detaching from the keyboard

The Logitech one is probably better, and cheaper, too (with mentioning : firmware upgradable, better protection).

@@shawnvegavelez121 yes, with the new ipad pro 2024, I'd recommend the Logitech Combo Touch; another reason : you can detach the keyboard, and keep your ipad protected... which is not the case with that Magic Keyboard... good enough if you only use you iPad at home or something (few chances you'll put on things that could damage it)
EDIT : I mean, (when putting on some surfaces) scratch it 😅

The 13" M3 Macbook Air is the same exact weight (1.24kg) but they round down to 2.7lbs, so this makes the 13" iPad Pro WITH the new Magic Keyboard case the same exact weight as the Macbook Air! Finally!

I keep hearing about ipad not good enough for the M4. But I suspect that it will be updated to take advantage of the M4. First comes the hardware, then comes the software. I ordered my IPad Pro with the Logitech keyboard & pencil pro. 512 gb. Can't wait.
Thanks for showing the Logitech Combo but I wished you did the side by side comparison with the Magic Keyboard along with weights like you did with the older iPad Pro keyboard. The best reason for the combo isn’t the all around protection you mention but the removable keyboard you can flip around to the back or totally remove to allow one to use the Pencil Pro naturally.

Quack ! LOL I want to know how to the speakers sound on the new M4 compared to the older iPad Pro models. I would think they might not be quite as full because it's so thin.

What happens (I know they are listed as incompatible) when you put the m1 IPad on the new magic keyboard?
Just holding on to it with your fingertips was anxiety-inducing. 😂
I have the feeling (if they don’t simply redesign iPadOS to be more like macOS) they could do a feature where plugging in iPad to an external monitor, prompts running macOS on the external display and keep an iPadOS (hopefully more robust iPadOS) on iPad as a portable touchscreen OS.
Apple should just give us an option for Always on Display for any device with OLED. I’d love to have AOD on an iPad or some sort of Desktop screen saver options while charging.
Can you see if Zagg Keys makes a keyboard yet for the Ipad. Also, could you please test the ESR Rebound Case?

I have a 2018 11” iPad Pro and this new iPad Pro is a game changer. I wish to purchase the 13” iPad Pro 1T to replace my 11” iPad Pro.
First! (Preordered the 11-inch. I am so excited to see OLED on the iPad for the first time!)
I got the Combo Touch with my 12.9 M1, I thought and still think it’s a better option at least for me.
13” iPad + Magic Keyboard not quite 12-inch MacBook light, but this is the spiritual successor so far

With my M2 ipad pro I honestly didn't enjoy so much the experience with the magic keyboard, personally I enjoy my ipad more with the smart folio this year I didn't get the magic keyboard 😊
Would you suggest 11 or 13 inch for holding it?
For that price, the cover should be included. You should get a credit to pick the color you want. Wouldn't that be fun and make that price hike go down a little easier?

Ok. This is a killer tablet. Predict wwdc will add some “pro” features for this bad boy. For now, ,ajar upgrade from m1 version I currently have
I'm disappointed that it doesn't have MagSafe charging like the iPhone, although I do like the way the Pencil charges.
(My favorite things about my iPhone 15 Pro are MagSafe charging and Face ID, while my least favorite things are the thickness, weight, and the too-low placement of the power button that I constantly press accidentally.)

I didn’t know there was an Apple-branded Smart Folio with the new iPad Pros. From their order page and their presentation, it seemed like the Magic Keyboard was the only option.
I just want an updated iPad mini pro!
Will the new keyboard bend backward/behind the back of the Pro, like the old soft keyboard?
But can you actually use the combo on your lap for extended everyday use, anywhere? And not overbalance, wobble & generally be inconvenient like the last models?

The new Smart Folio case has magnet rails all along the case so you can actually set the stand in many Angles
Over here in Canada ,Québec it is expensive ,I have the 5th gen Ipad pro 128gb , maybe will do a trade -in . First time here ,nice video .

The total weight(included the new case) of the new ipad pro 2024 is as same as macbook air 13 inch which is 2.7 lbs or 1.24 kg or 1240 g.
Also it would be nice to know if the OLED display is better than the M2 iPad pro screen. The M2 iPad Pro's screen is P3 color gamet, Retna and can be used as a reference Monitor display.
I'm not sure what gamet and retna mean... is that similar to gourmet and (???)
The new one has P3 wide color gamut support and is a "Retina" display.
(Literally not a single person uses the M2's display as a reference monitor. The default setting for it shifts colors based on environment, which is the last thing you want in a reference monitor.)
They're the same, just more colour accurate

@@chrisdacosta1824 no it doesn’t, I have used iPad Pro for PROFESSIONAL music production since 2017 and it is so much better than any other tablet for that use case and pretty much any other pro use case

It depends what your needs are. I would lean towards the MacBook Air, and save you $$$ and it has all the functionality to handle whatever college throws at you.
