- I had been trying to get Bald to visit Serbia for many years, it turned out to be a time that neither of us will forget very easily...

I loved his Indian travels. He made a great team with Baldr in India as well.
I never forget the one where they took an overnight bus, real bone shaker, and arrived at the destination shattered.

Bata Stojkovic was magnificent in the 1984 comedy Balkanski Spijun (Balkan Spy). He plays an old reformed stalinist who becomes convinced that his expat subtenant, who just returned from Paris, is a great threat to national security. Serbia is a nice country, lots of interesting history going back to Roman days. They make good movies too, both back in Yugo days and today.
Yes, I didn't realise until recently what a rich Roman history the country has.
Jesus looks modern inside but like a run down UK 70's tower block outside 😂
Funnily enough it's how a lot of houses in former Yugoslavian republics look. A rural brick house on the outside, but inside lavish and tidy.
Yes my homeland! Also I would recommend visiting Novi Sad, Its quite a metropolis nowadays.

I remember driving numerous times past that ridiculous statue and seeing one day the sight of crashed jeep and what looked lime some bodies strewn on the ground (no idea if they were real actors or dolls). I have to say, the low budget of the movie becomes increasingly apparent if you're familiar with the building. In this case, that top floor explosion was absolutely preposterous and, what's more, traffic continues normally on the street as if nothing happened.

Do you know that Bald and Bankrupt is in the ICU with COVID-19 right now? I cried and had to take a 4 hour nap after I found out today. He's one of my favorite TH-camrs and an inspiration to me. He probably got it in Belarus, where the president thinks it's a hoax and told people they could cure it by sitting by a fire breathing the smoke, drinking vodka, eating butter, and riding on tractors.
Yes, but don't worry, the good news is that he is almost fully recovered and is due to be released soon.
Tall Travels was he in a Belgrade ICU? Serbia has great doctors but sadly their health care system is underfunded and rife with corruption :/ Glad to hear he is feeling better!
@@milosblagojevic6768 In his picture he was in an ICU eating snacks from Belarus. Is he in Belarus, still? Or are those snacks common all across Europe? I wish I knew where he was. Bogdan is also right, he will be sick for months and possibly have permanent damage for life.
adriennefloreen I personally know someone who died from it unfortunately, it’s not pleasant. Bald got double pneumonia, basically his lungs were collapsing on him. He’s not even old too. I believe what he said on his Instagram story would be an eye opener to those who don’t take it as seriously. :)

I'm an Indian. Used to live/work in Beograd for 1+ year with local Srbijn people. I explored almost whole srbija(from Niš to Subotica and Loznica to borca) during that time. Now I'm back to my home but still really miss srbija too much. I want whole *SERIES* on *srbija* covered by *bald and bankrupt* in his own (soviet) style.😂

@@sonjak8265 I used to working as *šefe* for indian workers in srbija on different construction site in srbija. So everyday I had to travel on those *objects* but I really enjoyed my work over there.

I visited Slovenia last year and I absolutely loved it, drove around the place, swam in Bled and Bohinj, met terrific people and saw England reach a Euro final. Fond memories all around.
I've been watching Mr. Bald's videos and hearing him naming all the Soviet things: Soviet hotel, Soviet car, Soviet toilet, Soviet dog etc. and couldn't wait for him to meet the realm of Yugoslavian things and start naming them... That moment has finally arrived now.
Luka is right, although we have a bit of genuine Soveir legacy in Bg....The Red Army Cemetery, a monument of dead Soviet crew in Avala, the Russian embassy modernist building, T 34 tank in the Fortress, MIG 15 monument ...

@Scp 173 that's great.. you are German. In srbija every 5th person out of 10 wants to work in *Deutschland* Serbian people really have positive image for Deutschland. Even if you go down on serbian *freeway* you will find every sign board primerly in srpski then English and then *Deutsch* even whenever i Met with Gypsies in srbija, they used to ask me *Arbeit* *Arbeit* 😂
A big thank you to the doctors and nurses and everyone in Serbia, that looked after Mr Bald, in battle against CV19. In the video he says he has a migraine, this may of been the start of his battle. Well Mr Bald, get well soon. Ever country has its super heroes in this time of need. A big shout out to all of them in Serbia and everywhere.

Yugoslavia was never part of Soviet union. It was independent country, neutral. It was not under Soviet control.
