True, but at the same time they get a lot of things wrong, just check your average game Pos1&2 on both sides and see if their item builds is actually adapted to the game they are in. 3k here. Watch a lot of replays, videos and streams that have helped a lot in understanding particularly the pace of the game. My largest problem is how static the lanes are. Everyone worships their lane allocation like gospel. Furthermore, apparently winning your lane = getting kills. 5head video love it :DD what annoys me the most? more like what i'm still confused about after bein stuck at 2k forever as a mid player - jenkins i LOVE a tip that you once gave me to pick heroes that have options, you even recently uploaded a video about it, and it does indeed make the game easier to play. but sometimes i find myself with this problem: how do i diagnose what kind of mid playstyle i need to employ in my current game: active vs passive? because it's 2k, the laning phase sometimes goes very strangely, and a late game comp that's weak early sometimes stomps the laning phase, and vice versa. so sometimes i expect the game to go a certain way based on the heroes picked, and it goes a completely different way - and now i'm stuck with the wrong item build and hero playstyle for the game. (for ex, let's say i've been playing a fighting, active ember spirit with drums/vessel + bkb, in an effort to make a ton of space for my carry to afk farm for 20 minutes and carry us later on, because i've determined that my carry is our win condition and can 1v5 the enemy team with enough farm since he is playing PL and hasn't been counterpicked, for example. but then 20 minutes later i see that he has no farm. so now i'm stuck 30 minutes in with the wrong item build and am unable to transition to a more carry-style ember since i'm lacking a farming item, etc. a comment alone would be fantastic if this question doens't warrant a full video 🙏🥺
Hello Jenkins ! Thanks alot for your guids. I play on supports. My mmr is 1700, and for a first time I started doing some real impact because of your videos. Aspecial because of your Nature's Prophet build :D
Most frustrating and annoying thing that happens at 6k MMR is being a support main and constantly having cores who just say "gg go end" even when the game is easily still winnable, but since I'm a support player and my core just gave up, I am just forced to take an L
3K player from sea. Most annoying habit from my bracket is that no one tries to understand lost lanes, they will try to win losing lanes, they will gank mid with no smoke in daytime and soak EXP. however the worst is that they can only play with lead if we are losing everyone is jungling and even taking my farm as a carry or mid
You can often solve the replay bug you are mentionning around 3m by setting the fog of war on the side of the player you are looking at (dire in this current situation)
definitely agree on your advice at 10:30. I keep spamming broodmother against counter heroes at mid like LC axe Cent Magnus Sandking mid . i will end up solo killing them at laning . it just needs some practice and understanding. but i didnt spectate some players who plays brood because i cant see much games from it
4:25 you can see the offlaner (Mars) is taking AM's jungle, which is the safe farm at the moment, forcing AM to take the top lane farm which is the unsafe farm. Sad to see this happening in the 6k MMR bracket.
4.2k mmr, i get immensely annoyed by position 5s not knowing they can actually kill people in the safe lane and that they never notice "kill potentials"
I think better wording for the 6k AM's mistake is that he basically used up all his safe farm at once by playing too defensively. That farm will always be there. It's not a creep wave dying to another wave. The opportunity for the aggressive farm was there, but since he didn't take that opportunity while the enemy were dead, he's now forced to take the safe farm which is no longer existent since he exhausted it already.
1.5k mmr here. Problem currently is feeling like my team will often play their own game regardless of whether Im feeding or doing well and getting the team to group or play our roles collectively is a nightmare. People also dont seem to want to communicate or listen when asked for ganks or to push, etc. . .
From my experiences with 3k in NA at the very least, I would say that 3k players are only aggressive on a micro scale. In any given moment they tend to be pretty aggressive, but in terms of macro play they are some of the most passive players you will find. Your typical 3k player has learned that farm good, death bad, and so spends every possible moment farming their own jungle, regardless of the game state.
I am at 3k and the most annyoing thing is toxicity - i dont care about misplays or whatever, but when ppl start grieving or flaming this really grinds my gears
50% of dota matchmaking is predetermined. the other 50% is up to your own skill and ability to win the game. When dota has pre made the teams. Is either auto lose or auto win. 20min 30min short ass game When dota doesnt make premade teams which is part of the other 50% u can either win or lose by your own talents and ability and knowledge of the game. But dota just takes it 50% winrate when deep down u know its not. Thats how pro players are always above 55% winrate. But for us normal noobs it range from 48%-54% winrate So this 50% winrate is depending on your skill lvl. Thats how dota balance your games. There are promotion ranking times. Thats because the total amount of player pool has changed overall
This is all facts. My invoker is currently lvl 29 and I always first picked his ass to face counters. Learning to play against the counters and even dominate once you understand their limitations is life-changing for your gameplay.
Dear Jenkins. Very cool tips from you however i just have 1 problem. How do i find videos of pro players in similar situations like mine? I find it very hard.
That's a lovely demonstration of defensive 6k AM but alive or dead that AM would've lost the game. Nightstalker has an AoE silence which makes the only time for AM to be viable if he has BKB or NS is dead. Judging by the game state we can project a 25 minutes BKB for AM assuming he doesn't skip Manta for it, meanwhile Huskar is knocking on your highground now. Also more likely than not, Dire will kill Antimage a couple of times on his way to Manta, effectively deleting him as a hero.
@@SarcaZmOn I've played on different servers living in different countries. SEA is incredibly different from, and far worse in toxicity than any other server.
that happens to me at mostly at 6k. the problem is when you start feeding like that 0-4 average per games. these players think you either bought account or boosted.
Don‘t forget to take a look at the score ... The 8k mmr Game was just going exceptionally well for him and his team was beating the crap out from the other. That means also that he can likely farm much easier and snowball. So the creep stats and item advantage had to be expected. However, the 6k mmr game was much more difficult. They were at a losing streak and dire was pushing. That been said, his move wasn’t smart at all ...
I feel like this is so true, I am 6k (almost 7k) and I am always indecisive of many things, while I feel like top players just go yolo and don't care and somehow it works for them. I also remember that when I was a noob I just wanted to fight all the time and I thought the game was simply about getting kills to get stronger. This "fear" is honestly not something you can really work on, it just goes away as you said by just being better PS: Still waiting for your onlyfans
Yeah this is true for 6k player like me..I play support but when i had to play carry, im too scared to make a yolo move like top carry players do in my bracket.. My main role is pos 5 so i always see those really high rank carries in SEA are not afraid to make some yolo moves and didnt get punish Whenever i play core and make some stupid yolo shit, i always get punished so hard.. lmao
'Master 4-5 moves about a hero to be a good hero spammer', when I used to practive boxing, my trainer would tell us that it is by far more worth it to do one move a thousand time and master it then doing one thousand moves once and actually learn nothing. It's basically the same idea!
Really good Video, thank you Jenkins! I will use this Video and watch my last 30 ranked replays and my next 30 replays and try to figure out, where I stand on this graph in every game. I am sure, this will help me get a better understanding of map movements. This is a concept wich flowes in my head for a long time right now. Not EXACTLY like you describes it but in a way similar. I played DotA for a long time now and for me, most Situations become more and more clear, what to do or what not to do. As for me I am not a Divine player, I do understand that some situations needs the right movement from me or/and my team. The pubs I played in the last half year and the unrankeds I played with my friends showed me, that at a point ppl tend to play so defensively, that they (or me) just lose the game without taking a little risk. They stand on the high ground at minute 15 and do not take a fight or they go farm for 30 minutes and wonder, why we lose (mostly not the carry ofcourse). While ppl that ar newer to the game tend to die and feed without knowing, why ^^ and that is trurly fun for me. Thats why I like to play unranked with friends but thats another story. We need more from you!!!!

what annoys me the most? more like what i'm still confused about after bein stuck at 2k forever as a mid player -
jenkins i LOVE a tip that you once gave me to pick heroes that have options, you even recently uploaded a video about it, and it does indeed make the game easier to play. but sometimes i find myself with this problem: how do i diagnose what kind of mid playstyle i need to employ in my current game: active vs passive? because it's 2k, the laning phase sometimes goes very strangely, and a late game comp that's weak early sometimes stomps the laning phase, and vice versa. so sometimes i expect the game to go a certain way based on the heroes picked, and it goes a completely different way - and now i'm stuck with the wrong item build and hero playstyle for the game.
Dude you are making realy good guides ... just thank you
1:44 shit that was the truest statement I'd ever see
jenkins: trying to explain to us on how emotional aspects and understanding of the game can play a big role on your mmr.
me at 1 k: ok
Theres a fine line between bravery and stupidity - Juggernaut Einstein
Most frustrating and annoying thing that happens at 6k MMR is being a support main and constantly having cores who just say "gg go end" even when the game is easily still winnable, but since I'm a support player and my core just gave up, I am just forced to take an L
hahaha that intro is life love ur vids bro
3K player from sea. Most annoying habit from my bracket is that no one tries to understand lost lanes, they will try to win losing lanes, they will gank mid with no smoke in daytime and soak EXP. however the worst is that they can only play with lead if we are losing everyone is jungling and even taking my farm as a carry or mid
Very informative Thanks Jenkins
I get the message, means 8k players goes into full RTZ mode.
You can often solve the replay bug you are mentionning around 3m by setting the fog of war on the side of the player you are looking at (dire in this current situation)
definitely agree on your advice at 10:30. I keep spamming broodmother against counter heroes at mid like LC axe Cent Magnus Sandking mid . i will end up solo killing them at laning . it just needs some practice and understanding. but i didnt spectate some players who plays brood because i cant see much games from it
amazing vid jenkins keep it up
And there's me, perfectly aggresive, perfectly deffensive, and being 1k
Love this Jenkins, thank you so much!
4:25 you can see the offlaner (Mars) is taking AM's jungle, which is the safe farm at the moment, forcing AM to take the top lane farm which is the unsafe farm. Sad to see this happening in the 6k MMR bracket.
I'm gonna keep sharing your videos, Jenkins. Sub count to the moon!
Amazing content, this is a pro-level stuff. Thanks Jen.
Dude put bulldog picture then change it to 3k mmr bracker, so smooth
Great video as always
Everytime 5 enemies show on the map to gank me as an offlaner and my HC keeps farming jungle i die a little bit inside. Important content.
How you gona do Bulldong like that? 0:14
I am at 3k and the most annyoing thing is toxicity - i dont care about misplays or whatever, but when ppl start grieving or flaming this really grinds my gears
I've been thinking about this theory you've presented for years.... I find it so true.
dude you are great you teach us so much
50% of dota matchmaking is predetermined. the other 50% is up to your own skill and ability to win the game.
When dota has pre made the teams. Is either auto lose or auto win. 20min 30min short ass game
When dota doesnt make premade teams which is part of the other 50% u can either win or lose by your own talents and ability and knowledge of the game.
But dota just takes it 50% winrate when deep down u know its not.
Thats how pro players are always above 55% winrate. But for us normal noobs it range from 48%-54% winrate
So this 50% winrate is depending on your skill lvl.
Thats how dota balance your games.
There are promotion ranking times. Thats because the total amount of player pool has changed overall
1:44 that's me right there
Best of dota content creator & i would say this is correct 🙌🏻🔥
This is all facts. My invoker is currently lvl 29 and I always first picked his ass to face counters. Learning to play against the counters and even dominate once you understand their limitations is life-changing for your gameplay.
4.7k til Jenkin's silver play button! Grats in advance man.
Another great video from Jenkins the Great
Dear Jenkins. Very cool tips from you however i just have 1 problem. How do i find videos of pro players in similar situations like mine? I find it very hard.
Nice video, Jenkins! :)
Lmfao at 0:18, the video barely even started bulldog got called out..
I have to . . . I MUST WATCH EVERY SINGLE OF YOUR VIDEOS
I am both aggressive and defensive but why I'm still crusader?
I have high fear and low skill. When things get hairy, i stay in fountain or click that abandon button.
SEA SERVER is like another universe to compare to other rank games in dota
No, it's not. The problem is in you.
Nvm
@@SarcaZmOn I've played on different servers living in different countries. SEA is incredibly different from, and far worse in toxicity than any other server.
In 2k everybody thinks they deserve to be 6k so no one ever admits they're 2k and you NEVER LEAVE
The chances are, after 3-4 games of doing this, you might get REPORTED, get stuck at low prio so you will be able to do something else productive.
12:27 "leave a description"
lol
@jenkins do you believe the graph is representative for europe aswell, or is this NA only? I have a problem with this logic for eu
I'm 6k and I play aggressively like a 3k. I'll run in and feed while my allies run out.
that happens to me at mostly at 6k. the problem is when you start feeding like that 0-4 average per games. these players think you either bought account or boosted.
How do I leave a description?
Game state is the same: AM at 18 minutes no boots naked battle fury vs AM at 15 minutes Power Treads, Battle Fury and Yasha. 162 last hits vs 78
man this video is thew biggest jebait for noobs
as in he wants to farm in both of these games, not fight.
This "fear" is honestly not something you can really work on, it just goes away as you said by just being better
PS: Still waiting for your onlyfans
Awesome content!
Omg that bulldog dig. Fucking shots fired.
Big brain video
Damn
Good job dude
I wonder if at some point Jenkins made a bet with a friend saying "There`s no way you can include this baby picture in every video "
All of us that have watched your live stream know what you want to do with the subscriber badge Jenkins 😏
1:54 Wtf is that bro! your childhood photo animated?
Love you, Jenkmaster
