This means a lot to the Maids, they became fast friends with Mikey-chan at PointFest last year. The music was written by Mikey but arranged by Band-Maid, which means they all had a chance to make it sound more Band-Maid like.

It's taken a while to warm up to this song, from just the Audio release. But after seeing the official video, it's got me hooked. Especially with Akane & Kanami doing some backing vocals too. Their maid 'Battle Armour' is their identity, for sure. But it is a treat to see them dressed like Angels too. And Kanami with a ponytail...Gorgeous. A cynic like myself would see this as a run at a 'radio friendly' release. Nothing wrong with that. Total respect. I sincerely hope they roll over the Planet like a Tsunami for years to come.

Miku writing all-English lyrics. Saiki (I think) making the call for white outfits instead of the Battle Armor. It's really grown on me since first hearing it. It's not a typical Band-Maid song, but still identifiably a Band-Maid song. And I never knew I needed ponytail Mincho.
They used the last scene of the MV as a thumbnail, and they didn't show themselves in it, and we were looking at it even during the waiting time before the release. We thought it would be played normally, as if it were in nature. MAIDIACS, who were watching the MV's premium release at the same time, were surprised by the new challenge even though they had already listened to the song for two weeks. "It's pure white!" It was a nice surprise, like a little prank by the girls.

It may be similar to the shock we felt when we first encountered BAND-MAID. So I've listened to this song A LOT. From what I can summize and glean from the lyrics and the style of outfits. I've seen that they treat the maid outfits like armor in a way. With them not wearing them this band is just them, as Japanese culutre (I think) the color white symbolized purity and trueness so we are seeing them at their truest, singing about how much they love and value one another as friends and not just band mates. Again this is just speculation but it fits to me.

Since this is a colab with Mike Eizinger of Incubus and I believe Mike wrote the song, Miku wrote the lyrics and Band-Maid played the music, it's NOT totally Band-Maid...... so they couldn't claim it with their normal battle armor. The girls are all so stunning and Akane's drums were mic'd to perfection. The blue eyes, the hair, the outfits....these girls are simply perfection. I would like to send HUGE Kudos to their behind the scenes team that NEVER get enough credit. When we love Band-Maid we love YOU TOO!
What about The Dragon Cries although a different combination. Tony Visconti produced, Lyrics by Thomas Kenney- sung in English with music by Band-Maid- Still in Battle Armour. Love Band-Maid no matter what, but was pleased to hear a slower more melodic song for a change- not everything has the be fast and loud.

茜はband-maid以前のバンドに在籍していた頃には実に600にのぼる曲をマスターしていたという事実。それにband-maidの曲を加えると700曲という恐るべき数､､彼女は数字の計算がとても苦手らしいがドラムに関しては全て譜面に起こして暗記し而も叩く事が出来るという超人じみた人である。冷静になってコメントしたところで意味はなく結論すると常人離れしているとしか言えない。アレンジも当たり前の如く素晴らしい。
