Its ok to cry sometimes.. and i do understand father daughter relationship..my dad himself daughter of 4 ..he cried when he’s happy or sad for us… and every morning he just pray for our good day… and he was strict when we were kids.. but now a retired officer he seems to be just calm and happy to see us growing up and doing fine even at some point getting arguments just to justify our actions lol… hoping everything going to work between you and your daughter sir… and thank you for reacting to BANDMAID.. such a mellow song for the soul..
When I first saw Band-Maid back in 2022, I thought they would be a "Guilty Pleasure". But they're not: they're simply a pleasure, no guilt necessary. They're an amazing blend of hard rock, prog, metal, rap, grunge, punk, and pop. They bring it all to the table and serve it all up, plated for for serving perfection. Don't try to pigeon hole their genre, they wander all over the pop-rock genre map and are constantly exploring their boundaries. Yes, this is the band that Rocks HARD, but then turns around and brings a tear to your eye. Don't fool yourself into believing that Band-Maid is an artificial construct of the entertainment industry, what you see is Band-Maid doing Band-maid things: composing, writing, arranging, producing and recording their own music. Band-Maid is all their own construct and you'll be amazed by this quintet's accomplishments. I saw them live twice in 2023, and they are everything OldSkuleNerd says they are. If they play anywhere near you, go see them, and get your tickets early, because they sell out quickly.
Yeah, it was hard for me to believe they were real. After a decade of disenchantment and outright cynicism towards modern music, especially rock, I discovered them at the end of 2021. Without seeing or knowing anything about them I was convinced after Choose Me and 15 seconds into Thrill that they were the best band this decade. Then I found out about everything. I couldn’t believe a group of Japanese women dressed in maid outfits made the best music in decades, all original songs, no covers, across so many sub genres, and made this music I was nostalgic for but did it better by being just as catchy but infinitely more instrumentally rich. They made music the way I remember with rose tinted glasses. I genuinely watched several live videos trying to figure out if they were actually playing and if these songs were covers. How can one band do it all and have enough humor to do it wearing maid outfits? 35 typically isn’t the age you discover your favorite band. They made me love music again. I will be forever in their debt for their gift.
I love this song. I have watched at least 25 reviews,and yours is one of the most heartfelt reviews. I sure hope Caroline ends the week with contentment and peace,and she should with a dad like you.
